  • Roman Crazy

    Roman Crazy by Alice Clayton

Roman Crazy by Alice Clayton and Nina Bocci is $2.99! This is a Kindle Daily Deal and the price is being matched elsewhere. This is a travel romance with the heroine uprooting her life to movie to Italy. It also has a second chance romance as well. Some readers say this is less of a romance and more like chick lit, but many found it to be heartfelt and humorous.

Avery Bardot steps off the plane in Rome, looking for a fresh start. She’s left behind a soon-to-be ex-husband in Boston and plans to spend the summer with her best friend Daisy, licking her wounds—and perhaps a gelato or two. But when her American-expat friend throws her a welcome party on her first night, Avery’s thrown for a loop when she sees a man she never thought she’d see again: Italian architect Marcello Bianchi.

Marcello was the man—the one who got away. And now her past is colliding with her present, a present where she should be mourning the loss of her marriage and—hey, that fettuccine is delicious! And so is Marcello…

Slipping easily into the good life of summertime in Rome, Avery spends her days exploring a city that makes art historians swoon, and her nights swooning over her unexpected what was old is new again romance. It’s heady, it’s fevered, it’s wanton, and it’s crazy. But could this really be her new life? Or is it just a temporary reprieve before returning to the land of twin-set cardigans and crustless sandwiches?

  • Baby, It’s Cold Outside

Baby, It’s Cold Outside by Jennifer Probst

RECOMMENDED: Baby, It’s Cold Outside is $1.99! This is a contemporary romance holiday anthology and a book I recommended on a Rec League of holiday reads. This collection has all sorts of catnip-worthy tropes like forced proximity and fish out of water. It has a 4-star rating on Goodreads.

New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling indie authors Jennifer Probst, Emma Chase, Kristen Proby, Melody Anne, and debut author Kate Meader come together to write a sizzling romance anthology.

Outside it may be frosty, so turn the heat way up with these stories of desire!

    Searching for You

Can a determined woman executive and a playboy billionaire survive being stranded together in a snowstorm? Jennifer Probst depicts an encounter almost too hot to handle…

It’s a Wonderful Tangled Christmas Carol

Drew and Kate play an encore to Tangled in this sexy take on a “Christmas Carol” by Emma Chase. When a Christmas Eve argument condemns Drew to a troubled night, three dream women teach him that no gift could be more tantalizing than Kate…

    Saving Grace

With Kristen Proby, ski slopes are quite delightful. Grace Douglas is sure she’ll never learn to ski, but instructor Jacob Baxter could teach her lessons of a different kind…

    Safe in His Arms

Can a southern California transplant survive Montana’s deep snows?Melody Anne, author of the bestselling Andersons series, melts the icy drifts completely away with the heat between sexy Hawk Winchester and brand-new teacher Natalie Duncan…

  • What Happens Under the Mistletoe

What Happens Under the Mistletoe by Sabrina Jeffries

What Happens Under the Mistletoe is $1.99! This is a historical romance holiday anthology from some well-known authors in the genre. Some readers recommend this quick read to get into the holiday spirit, while others say the romances happen a bit too quickly. (But that’s often a common problem in novella-length romances, in my opinion.) Have you read this one?

New York Times bestselling authors Sabrina Jeffries, Karen Hawkins, and Candace Camp, and USA TODAY bestselling author Meredith Duran come together for a sizzling historical romance holiday anthology.

Stunned by the heat of an unexpected kiss on a cold winter’s eve, two strangers from vastly different worlds turn hotheaded principles into burning passion in Sabrina Jeffries’s delightful yuletide story, The Heiress and the Hothead. In the snowy Scottish countryside, Karen Hawkins’s rakish duke has an unforgettable holiday encounter in Twelve Kisses when the alluring lady he surprises under the mistletoe is not who he expected, but a long-lost love with a score to settle. In By Any Other Name, Edinburgh is aglitter for Christmastime as Candace Camp sends a curious gentleman in hot pursuit of an intriguing lady in disguise—one who refuses to reveal her true identity, though she fears he has already stolen her heart with his kiss. In Sweet Ruin, will the festive spirit of the season sweep Meredith Duran’s feisty heroine beneath the mistletoe—and back into the arms of the dashing rogue whose carelessness soiled her reputation and sent her into exile in London?

In this all-new story collection sparkling with sexy charm and heartwarming wit, four beloved bestselling authors reveal the mix-ups and make-ups, the missed chances and golden opportunities that come but once a year.

  • Etiquette & Espionage

Etiquette & Espionage by Gail Carriger

RECOMMENDED: Etiquette & Espionage by Gail Carriger by $2.99! This is the first book in the Finishing School series, which both Carrie and I highly recommend. This is young adult with a steampunk historical setting. And would you look at that cover. Readers loved the creative, whimsical setting, though some expressed difficulty in reading a lot at one time. They had to take breaks every few chapters because of the overwhelming twee-ness. The book has a 3.8-star rating on Goodreads.

It’s one thing to learn to curtsy properly. It’s quite another to learn to curtsy and throw a knife at the same time. Welcome to Finishing School.

Fourteen-year-old Sophronia is a great trial to her poor mother. Sophronia is more interested in dismantling clocks and climbing trees than proper manners–and the family can only hope that company never sees her atrocious curtsy. Mrs. Temminnick is desperate for her daughter to become a proper lady. So she enrolls Sophronia in Mademoiselle Geraldine’s Finishing Academy for Young Ladies of Quality.

But Sophronia soon realizes the school is not quite what her mother might have hoped. At Mademoiselle Geraldine’s, young ladies learn to finish…everything. Certainly, they learn the fine arts of dance, dress, and etiquette, but the also learn to deal out death, diversion, and espionage–in the politest possible ways, of course. Sophronia and her friends are in for a rousing first year’s education.

Y’all, if you haven’t read Etiquette & Espionage, GET ON THAT. The whole series is delightful! It’s pure escapism, which I especially appreciate right now.

  4. LauraL says:

I read What Happens Under the Mistletoe last holiday season. Twelve Kisses was my favorite. If I remember correctly, sexytimes and romance developed quickly, but two of the stories are second chances. You get a pass for a second chance. 🙂

  5. fairywine says:

Seconding all the books in the Finishing School series as VERY WORTHY. Sophronia is a stellar example of a stone-cold badass who doesn’t just own her girliness and how society perceives her as a woman, but weaponizes it. One of my all time favorite heroines for sure.

  6. Erin says:

I was looking for a Christmas anthology tonight and I knew y’all could hook me up. Thanks!!!
