Miracle on 5th Ave by Sarah Morgan comes out November 29, 2016!

Hopeless romantic Eva Jordan loves everything about Christmas. She might be spending the holidays alone this year, but when she’s given an opportunity to house-sit a spectacular penthouse on Fifth Avenue, she leaps at the chance. What better place to celebrate than in snow-kissed Manhattan? What she didn’t expect was to find the penthouse still occupied by its gorgeous—and mysterious—owner.

Bestselling crime writer Lucas Blade is having the nightmare before Christmas. With a deadline and the anniversary of his wife’s death looming, he’s isolated himself in his penthouse with only his grief for company. He wants no interruptions, no decorations and he certainly doesn’t appreciate being distracted by his beautiful, bubbly new housekeeper. But when the blizzard of the century leaves Eva snowbound in his apartment, Lucas starts to open up to the magic she brings…This Christmas, is Lucas finally ready to trust that happily-ever-afters do exist?

Standard disclaimers apply: I’m not being compensated for this giveaway except that I got to go shopping online which means I didn’t have to wear shoes or real pants. Void where prohibited. Open to US residents where permitted by applicable law. Must be over 18 and have sunglasses on hand to combat the shine on those earrings. A watch in the hand is worth three books in the bush. That’s how it goes, right? It’s totally okay to have champagne on hand for celebrating or commiserating. Comments will close Monday 28 November 2016 around noon EST and winner announced same day.

To enter, leave a comment with your favorite holiday tradition! It could be as big as a beach trip every 4th of July or simply baking a particular type of cookie for Christmas.

Best of luck to everyone!

UPDATE: Our winner is Stephanie! Congratulations, Stephanie and keep an eye on your inbox! Thanks to everyone who commented and I hope you have a great holiday season!

while holidays with the family of birth are great – and I am grateful to have my parents alive and able to host all of us (3 siblings, their spouses, their collective 10 children – and a new nephew-in-law!), my new traditions are with families of choice. most holidays are with friends who give me credit for introducing them and my favorite is Rosh Hashanah, which a friend and I host together. we invite friends who do not have family, are not celebrating with family, or would otherwise not celebrate. we combine her eastern traditions (pomegranates, leeks, etc.), my western ones (raisin challah, apples and honey), and a lot of wine into a new tradition. while we always invite new people, there is a core that has returned year after year – and that makes it family and a great way to start the new year.

  2. kitkat9000 says:

My family doesn’t really have any traditions, per se. After my brother and I grew up the holidays changed completely for us (most of our gifts became cash in cards, my favorite kind).

It’s been fun the last few years with my nephew, and I look forward to spending time with him and playing whichever new games he received.

The only other thing we do is to have a traditional Thanksgiving meal, followed by an all Italian Christmas meal.

  3. Elizabeth A says:

The cookies that my aunt bakes for Christmas. They are sour cream cookies and they are made into Christmasy shapes. Good times!

  4. Pia says:

I love Thanksgiving!! No matter what 🙂

  5. Pia says:

Forgive me if this posted twice but it’s Thanksgiving. I love the tradition of making the turkey and sharing with friends and family

  6. Michelle Farias says:

The holidays always mean food and my favorite tradition was always the way my memere, the true matriarch of the family, would demand that food be brought to her, especially dessert. Less than five minutes after we had finished eating dinner, she would find someone near her and tell them to go get her something sweet. After dessert she would let it be known what she would like to take home for leftovers. Won’t have that tradition anymore sadly, but maybe a new matriarch will rise. I certainly won’t mind demanding dessert.

  7. Kathryn says:

My favourite tradition is celebrating Christmas Eve with my family, which includes a traditional 12 course dinner and opening most of our presents. It makes the magic stretch a little longer, and it makes it easier to arrange where my husband and I spend the holidays with now – my family Christmas Eve, and his Christmas Day.

  8. Nicole says:

Eating at a restaurant (rusty pelican) on Thanksgiving, because there is no prep, no dishes and no cleanup which means I have time to read.

  9. Kristi says:

Decorating the tree with the kids!

  10. Kaye55 says:

Watching ‘Love Actually’ on Christmas Eve.

  11. KV says:

I like baking sugar cookies with my family.

  12. Cassandra says:

Wearing snuggly pajamas and enjoying a warm cup of tea

  13. My favorite Christmas tradition is me and my mom decorating our houses and trees together. This year that’s possible. I will be decorating my house without her. My momma was in a motorcycle wreck on Sept4 so she’s been in the hospital hours away. Today she was moved to a rehabilitation center with her own room. I am going to surprise her and decorate her room for Christmas and get her a t.v so she can watch all of her favorite Christmas movies!

  14. Amy Kate says:

New Year’s Eve means fancy dinner made at home in pajamas.

  15. Samantha says:

Since my family is Jewish, we spend our Christmas at the movie theater and the local Chinese restaurant with a few bottles of wine.

  16. Juli C says:

My husband loves Mystery Science Theater 3000. We watching the marathon when we were in college. Now, years later, we have it on as background noise while we are preparing food, but our daughters are old enough to watch it and enjoy it.

  17. Nam says:

My favorite holiday tradition is binging on tv and doing absolutely nothing for the whole day.

  18. Heather RR says:

I’m all about watching How the Grinch Stole Christmas every year but my husband and I are still developing our own traditions since we generally spend the holidays alone.

  19. Rae Alley says:

For me, this time of year calls for baking a pumpkin cheesecake.

  20. SueX. says:

Watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade on TV, then the National Dog Show, and then eating the turkey, it’s a combination that works.

  21. AndreaT says:

My favorite holiday tradition is settling in with my family—husband, kiddos, and parents on Christmas Eve. It’s a chance to think about the past year, talk with my kids about their hopes for Christmas, and watch great movies.
    Thanks!

  22. Danica says:

Watching a movie with my brother on Christmas Eve with a Chicago pizza. 🙂

  23. Stefanie Magura says:

My favorite tradition is one which was forgotten in all the hubbub at Thanksgiving this year chocolate pie. Hopefully, mom will make some throughout next year. Lol.

  34. genie says:

Every Christmas Eve, Santa waterskis down the Potomac River, with reindeer and the Grinch, and elves. So every year, since most of my high school gang is back in town to visit family, we get together and go watch Santa waterski. And by “watch,” I mean “hang out at a bar near Santa” and catch up. We used to be able to see him from the bar, but they moved the location on the river so we moved to a bar within walking distance of where he skis, in case we want to go stand in the cold.
