Miracle on 5th Ave by Sarah Morgan comes out November 29, 2016!

Hopeless romantic Eva Jordan loves everything about Christmas. She might be spending the holidays alone this year, but when she’s given an opportunity to house-sit a spectacular penthouse on Fifth Avenue, she leaps at the chance. What better place to celebrate than in snow-kissed Manhattan? What she didn’t expect was to find the penthouse still occupied by its gorgeous—and mysterious—owner.

Bestselling crime writer Lucas Blade is having the nightmare before Christmas. With a deadline and the anniversary of his wife’s death looming, he’s isolated himself in his penthouse with only his grief for company. He wants no interruptions, no decorations and he certainly doesn’t appreciate being distracted by his beautiful, bubbly new housekeeper. But when the blizzard of the century leaves Eva snowbound in his apartment, Lucas starts to open up to the magic she brings…This Christmas, is Lucas finally ready to trust that happily-ever-afters do exist?

Standard disclaimers apply: I’m not being compensated for this giveaway except that I got to go shopping online which means I didn’t have to wear shoes or real pants. Void where prohibited. Open to US residents where permitted by applicable law. Must be over 18 and have sunglasses on hand to combat the shine on those earrings. A watch in the hand is worth three books in the bush. That’s how it goes, right? It’s totally okay to have champagne on hand for celebrating or commiserating. Comments will close Monday 28 November 2016 around noon EST and winner announced same day.

To enter, leave a comment with your favorite holiday tradition! It could be as big as a beach trip every 4th of July or simply baking a particular type of cookie for Christmas.

Best of luck to everyone!

UPDATE: Our winner is Stephanie! Congratulations, Stephanie and keep an eye on your inbox! Thanks to everyone who commented and I hope you have a great holiday season!

  6. Lola Jane says:

My favorite Christmas tradition is going out and seeing the lights at the AB Brewery then driving to the houses that have truly lunatic displays you can see from space. Then we get frozen custard.

  7. Linda says:

Our favorite Holiday Tradition is that The Night Before Christmas is that we all go to My Husbands Grandpas House for Lunch and then we all come home and get in our (hopefully) Christmas Jammies (or New Ones) and Read The Night Before Christmas and The kids get to open one present. I usually try and make sure it’s something small.

  8. Rachel F. says:

Every year we have to watch A Christmas Story, with people reciting favorite lines along with the characters.

  9. Gretchen says:

Lighting the angel chimes, and then having a family sing-a-long by candlelight. My non-singing Dad could be counted on for the add-ins on Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer!

  10. Carrie says:

Decorating cookies and the gingerbread house with my son. 🙂

  11. Brittany says:

We roast an entire pig for Nochebuena (Christmas Eve) and serve it with a bunch of Cuban accoutrements– black beans and rice, avocado, Cuban bread… easily my favorite holiday tradition of all!

  12. Christa says:

I love that with have not only one but two big family get togethers at Christmas. On December 24 with my mothers people, on the 25th with my fathers family. And then there is the singing. We are enough people to actually sing all those Christmas songs, and it sounds lovely. My brother made the songbooks sometime in the nineties, and it is his job to bring them along at both events. On the morning of the 26th we eat breakfast at my aunts farm, before we all go for a walk. And after the walk we eat soup 😉

  13. Nisha Tisso says:

My favorite holiday tradition is the singing of Christmas carols after our traditional Christmas lunch, Dad still plays the piano and we sing our hearts out, its fun and we have loads of laughs with Aunty Gemma sometimes singing the wrong words.

  14. Emily says:

    Mimosas on Christmas morning!

  15. Laura W. says:

    New pajamas for Christmas!

  16. Debbie Carney (Carnes) says:

I love making all kinds of Norwegian Christmas meals and desserts My grandmother was from Norway and I’m the only one carrying on with her traditions

  17. Patricia M. says:

For Christmas, my sister and I (in years past together but now separately since we live hours apart), make a candy called Buckeyes to give to people (my daughter’s teachers and those former teachers who beg for them), co-workers, friends, etc. It is basically a ball of peanut butter and powdered sugar dipped in chocolate. It is more work than that and I have to dedicate an entire day to making these and I am on my feet the entire time. People are not shy about asking when they will be ready each year.

  18. shiny says:

Carrying a pumpkin pie all the way across the country to my grandmother’s for Thanksgiving

  23. Emily J says:

Making a big Christmas morning breakfast with my family!

  24. JR says:

We’re making new married-people traditions and my husband and I love food. So: no turkey for Thanksgiving, instead it’s a big Italian feast. And on Christmas eve we have a big Indian meal (I’m East Indian) and then on Christmas day we’re usually with his parents, so there’s a ham and tamales (his mom grew up in Texas, and apparently that’s a thing they do?)… Anyway, here’s to new hodge-podge all-American traditions that stick it to our new white nationalist overlords!

  25. Kristen says:

Because my husband works in a restaurant, we rarely have the ability to travel to family on the holidays. Instead we load up on junk food, make boozy coffee and mimosas for breakfast, and just chill the days away.

  26. ChrisK says:

My favorite holiday tradition is from my childhood. All the kids have to wait at the top of the stairs while my dad “checked to see if Santa came.” Not going to lie we are all grownup but still wait to go downstairs until dad gives the okay. My siblings and I just hang out together at the top of the stairs while my dad tortures us by telling us about the coffee he is drinking.

  27. Rachel Brimble says:

Our tradition of a huge Christmas Eve party with a huge group of neighbors – we take turns in hosting each year 🙂

For Thanksgiving we watch the parade on the TV, go to a local Indian restaurant for buffet lunch, watch a movie at the local theater in the afternoon, then pick up turkey, sides, gravy (for my non-veg family members) from Boston Market. For dinner, then watch TV before my older kids leave because they have work the next morning at the hospital.

  31. Carol S says:

Every Halloween we carve a bunch of pumpkins and fill luminarias and set them up to line the driveway and sidewalks on both sides. Halloween is my favorite holiday because you don’t have to cook dinner or buy gifts and the whole point of the holiday is to obtain chocolate.

  32. girlfromwva says:

  36. We have a sleepover at my brother’s house, I bake cinnamon buns for our breakfast on Christmas morning. The only gift we will exchange on Christmas Eve are the new nightgowns or pajamas we buy each other.
