Miracle on 5th Ave by Sarah Morgan comes out November 29, 2016!

Hopeless romantic Eva Jordan loves everything about Christmas. She might be spending the holidays alone this year, but when she’s given an opportunity to house-sit a spectacular penthouse on Fifth Avenue, she leaps at the chance. What better place to celebrate than in snow-kissed Manhattan? What she didn’t expect was to find the penthouse still occupied by its gorgeous—and mysterious—owner.

Bestselling crime writer Lucas Blade is having the nightmare before Christmas. With a deadline and the anniversary of his wife’s death looming, he’s isolated himself in his penthouse with only his grief for company. He wants no interruptions, no decorations and he certainly doesn’t appreciate being distracted by his beautiful, bubbly new housekeeper. But when the blizzard of the century leaves Eva snowbound in his apartment, Lucas starts to open up to the magic she brings…This Christmas, is Lucas finally ready to trust that happily-ever-afters do exist?

Standard disclaimers apply: I’m not being compensated for this giveaway except that I got to go shopping online which means I didn’t have to wear shoes or real pants. Void where prohibited. Open to US residents where permitted by applicable law. Must be over 18 and have sunglasses on hand to combat the shine on those earrings. A watch in the hand is worth three books in the bush. That’s how it goes, right? It’s totally okay to have champagne on hand for celebrating or commiserating. Comments will close Monday 28 November 2016 around noon EST and winner announced same day.

To enter, leave a comment with your favorite holiday tradition! It could be as big as a beach trip every 4th of July or simply baking a particular type of cookie for Christmas.

Best of luck to everyone!

  1. Abby says:

I have a pretty big family, and I think my favorite thing is for all of the cousins to hang out after Thanksgiving dinner and all play games, usually Apples to Apples, but sometimes card games. The little kids and the adult cousins all play together.

  2. Romie says:

We don’t have children, so we ‘adopt’ a family for the holidays. It’s so much fun getting to go shopping for the kids and knowing we’ve made a difference!

  3. Carrie says:

Every Christmas Eve, our dinner is cracked crab and steamed artichokes. We cover the table with newspaper and use paper plates. And we just pile up the shells and used artichoke leaves on the table. After dinner, we count silverware, roll up the newspaper and toss it in the bin. Quick cleanup and I get to spend the evening with family and friends instead of in the kitchen. 🙂

  4. Debbie says:

We lived in Switzerland for a year, so instead I’d turkey, we have raclette for Thanksgiving. Yummy melted cheese on potatoes and other substrates.

  5. Kray K says:

Thanksgiving with friends (one’s chosen family) and Christmas with family. And watching “A Christmas Story” on Christmas Eve.
    Awesome giveaway by-the-way. Well done!

  6. Alyssa says:

My favorite tradition is clam chowder on Christmas Eve. My dad started it because he wanted a tradition and it was just about the only recipe from my great grandmother’s collection that we think she might have actually made! She wasn’t known as a particularly avid cook…

  7. Debbie says:

We lived in Switzerland for a year, so instead of turkey, we have raclette for Thanksgiving. Yummy melted cheese on potatoes and other substrates.

My favorite family tradition is that we have a little family reunion at my great aunt’s place for lunar new year.

  9. Frances says:

Dancing around the house while listening to “Christmas Wrapping” by the Waitresses on repeat.

  10. Texas Book Lover says:

It’s a toss up between making Christmas cookies with my daughters and setting up the tree that always ends up with us telling stories because of all of our unique ornaments.

  11. Jennifer says:

Christmas Eve dinner is always pancakes and bacon. It started as a quick and easy meal before leaving for candlelight service. Years later, it still brings smiles to everyone, young and old.

  12. Alys says:

Every Christmas Eve, I sit alone in my room and watch A Muppet Christmas Carol and wrap presents. It’s my favorite Christmas movie, and watching it in a dark, cool room while I prepare gifts to share with my loved ones always puts me in the perfect Christmas spirit.

  13. Kim says:

Christmas morning, having the kids unpack their stockings while my husband and I try to get enough caffeine in us to face the rest of the morning!

  14. Carolyn says:

I have a ton of favorite holiday tradition (especially Christmas-related!), but one of the best is decorating Christmas cookie cutouts with my mom and sisters and any friends who are around. The recipe is my grandmother’s, and we’ve literally been baking and decorating these cookies in tons of shapes and sizes every Christmas for over 30 years (even before I was born).

  15. Amanda Lee says:

My favorite holiday tradition is that my parents always give us “children” a pair of pajamas and a new book on Christmas Eve that we can open then, and use before Christmas morning. It’s the perfect way to wake up on Christmas.

  16. Theresa says:

We always get Chinese take out on Christmas Eve – love not having to cook!

  17. Susan says:

I used to be the holiday queen, but my holiday traditions have changed dramatically as I’ve gotten older–the torch has been passed to the younger generation so they can make their own traditions. I enjoy quiet holidays with a friend now.

  18. Maureen says:

My favorite tradition is decorating the tree together. We put on Christmas Carols and go to town!

spending New Year’s eve with my best friend watching old movies

  23. Cristie says:

My favorite holiday tradition is making tamales with my family. We form an assembly line of people an each person has a part in putting the tamales together. My job is always putting the meat into the masa. Of course the best part is eating them but the process of making them is what makes the memories.

  24. KarenF says:

Thanksgiving… travelling to my sister’s cabin in the mountains for a cozy Thanksgiving feast.

  25. Rebecca W. says:

    My mom’s latkes on Chanukah!

  28. Sheridan Slagle says:

Watching hallmark Christmas movies with my mom!

Messing up dishes as fast as my sister can wash them. It’s a team effort

  31. Jen Hughes says:

I love baking Christmas cookies and cheesecake and sitting in front of fire drinking hot chocolate!

  32. Noelle says:

Watching When Harry Met Sally with my husband every New Year’s Eve. We drink wine, eat a ridiculous amount of Brie and play board games…because we know how to party.

  33. Persei says:

My dad use to hide the baby Jesus from the manager in the most random spots and wait for my mom to find him with a completely exasperated sigh. Just the other day she told me she didn’t know what to do with manger and I thought about finding the baby Jesus in the wood pile. Made me smile.

  34. Carol Thomas says:

My favorite tradition is cooking for all of my kids. This will be the first time that I will have none of my kids for the holidays, but I have three of the grandkids to make new memories with!

  35. MonaG says:

Our favorite holiday tradition is browsing the stores and checking out gift items, decor, and food samples.

Thanks for the great giveaway 🙂

  36. Kim says:

My favorite tradition is lasagna on Christmas Eve with my family. My mom has been making every year as long as I’ve been alive (probably longer), and though I try to replicate it, mine is never as good as hers. I think no matter how old we get, nothing beats mom’s cooking.

  37. Kate says:

My favorite tradition is slightly newer, as traditions go- for the past six or seven years, my boyfriend and I have driven around our hometown to look at the holiday lights on the houses. I love knowing that, no matter how loud and over the top the holidays can get, we’ll have at least an hour of just enjoying some time together.

  38. SandyPo says:

  40. Marc says:

We watch White Christmas and Arsenic and Old Lace every year for the holidays. It is a family affair with three generations sitting down to enjoy it.
