Black Friday is here! And that means sales, sales, and more sales! Throughout the day, we’ll be posting great deals we find across our various e-tailers, so definitely check the post often. Also, if you happen to see a sale that would be of interest to the Bitchery, feel free to drop a comment below or send me an email!
Amazon
Right now, Harlequin and Carina Press have some selected books on sale, which include contemporary, western, and fantasy romances!
Various Kindle models are on sale! The All-New Kindle E-reader – Black, 6″ Glare-Free Touchscreen Display, Wi-Fi – Includes Special Offers is 38% off and is $49.99.
The Kindle for Kids bundle is 44% off at $69.99!
There’s a general page for Black Friday book deals if you have the time to browse!
If you’re traveling, we can’t recommend portable chargers enough. Seriously, they’re a lifesaver while at the RT Convention. Currently, the Anker External Battery Charger is 69% off and is $27.99!
Comixology is having a sale on graphic novels from Image! Hits include Saga and Sex Criminals, which have been reviewed here. Comixology is partnered with Amazon and if you buy through Amazon, we get a small percentage of sales.
The 6-Quart Instant Pot Pressure Cooker is 47% at $68.95! We’ve recommended this pressure cooker several times on the site.
Several best-selling Kindle books are on sale from $1.99 to $4.99! Titles include the recently published The Chemist by Stephenie Meyer, A Discovery of Witches, and The Fifth Season (which Elyse loved!).
Both Sarah and I love and recommended the Amazon TV Fire Stick. It’s incredibly portable; I know Sarah brings it while traveling with her family. And I love the range of apps it offers like Netflix and Hulu. It’s currently 25% off and priced at $29.99!
Barnes & Noble
Star Wars toys and collectibles are 25% off for all the kids and kids-at-heart in your life! Other (non-Star Wars related) figurines are also on sale!
If there are any amazing book sales you happen to see while doing your Black Friday shopping, here are bookstore links that help support the site with your purchases. If you use them, thank you so much, and if you’d prefer not to, that’s cool too. We appreciate you hanging out with us, and hopefully you found something good to read — or at least treated yourself during this stressful time!

Audible is having a sale Nov 25-29. http://www.audible.com/mt/TreatYourself2016
I second the Audible sale. Lots of audiobooks/genres/authors are included in the sale.
ARe is having a 25% off sale on selected e-publishers. Since it’s a discount event,
Iyou can use all those bonus bucksI’veyou’ve been hoarding from previous rebates. They usually also hold a rebate event on Cyber Monday, so if
Iyou blow through your stash today,I’llyou’ll probably be able to re-hoard on Monday.Harlequin has 40% off all books on their site using the code “BLFR2016” through midnight, good for one order. It appears to also work on their carina titles (without leaving the harlequin site)
Looking through the audible sale, and there are some truly excellent selections, including several (possibly all?) of the Druid Chronicles, Cinder, a host of Nora Roberts, and Lisa Kleypas, all of which I have listened to and recommend (with the exception of Nora, who I sometimes hate the narrator. Looking at you, Emily Durante).
The new Royal Romances book (#4) is out now and it’s 99 cents for Kindle!

which is good because I’m saving the rest of my book budget for the Courtney Milan that comes out December 1.
Mary Balogh has 2 Christmas novella collections on sale for 0.99 today only
For those with a sick sense of humor, Cyanide & Happiness http://www.explosm.net has a 15% off sale with the code word REINDEER.
Thank you, Amy! I’ve just purchased both and would not have noticed their sale without your comment. There are lots of Christmas stories available, but there is only one Mary Balogh.
I’m excited to read the new Stephenie Meyer book and I bought a new smartphone–the Honor 8–on sale at Amazon. It came with a free Doctor Strange gift set which I thought was especially cool. That’s definitely book-relevant because I read and listen to audiobooks on my phone all the time. My current phone is a 3 year old Nexus 5. While it’s been a great phone, it doesn’t have nearly enough memory (no expandable card capabilities) and it’s gotten laggy over time.
@Lora WHAT COURTNEY MILAN IS COMING OUT DECEMBER 1?!?!?!?!
Also ditto the Instapot recommendations, and Barnes and Noble is having a pretty good sale on non-ebooks, which is what I get for people as gifts.
Shout out for the instant pot! I love mine and didn’t know other bitches were fans! #recipepost #bourbonpumpkincheesecake
Thank you so much for the heads up about the instant pot. I saw this last year but waffled over spending >$75 on it when I already owned an old-fashioned one. By the time I decided to go for it, they’d sold out. Have no idea why I forgot to check today to see if it was back on sale. One-clicked!
If anyone who wants to hasn’t purchased A Promise of Fire by Amanda Bouchet, it’s .99 right now. Of course, it’s still sitting on my kindle unread, but at least I only paid a dollar more when I bought it.
Thanks for the heads up about the Instant Pot. I too put off buying one until it was too late and have waited for this sale. I’ve wondered if people got rid of their crock pot after they bought the Instant Pot?
If you read m/m, Jeff Adams and Will Knauss (authors, husbands, and hosts of the Big Gay Fiction Podcast) are offering a ton of books via InstaFreebie through the 27th. There are some fantastic authors included (ZA Maxfield, Clare London) and several of my all-time favorite titles (Eden Winters’ DIVERSION is in my top 5, and while some argue that Edmond Manning’s KING PERRY isn’t a romance, the storytelling and prose style is incredible). Some offerings are excerpts only, and most will sign you up to the featured author’s mailing list, but it’s still worth checking out. Karla Doyle fans, six of her books are 0.99 (ends Nov. 26). There’s some Scrabble fun in ‘More Than Words.’
OK. I bit the bullet and got an Instant Pot. Let’s see if this changes my universe.
Short story The Sparrow In Hiding, by J Kathleen Cheney, (normally $3) is free right now! Well, it’s also always on Kindle Unlimited for those who have it, but it’s free for the rest of us right now too! It’s an after-the-fairy-tale tale, very sweetly romantic, and beautifully written. I highly recommend it. 😀
