I knit so many hats for Christmas gifts! I love them in all forms!!
I love to knit hats and blankets in the fall!
Sweaters. Always sweaters, forever and ever.
Afghans for fall and winter, but not holiday themed.
Last year I had a bunch of fun knitting tiny sweaters for little wooden cutout sheep ornaments. I might make some this year if I can remember where I ordered the wooden sheep from. I seem to recall they were created and sold as a fund raiser for the Heifer Project, by way of a yarn related business.
I knit a blanket featuring the logo of the Patriot football team last year. It is the number one request on a few people’s Christmas list this year. At least I can cuddle under it as I knit.
My husband and I watch football every Sunday and I knit shawls. Love wingspan!
Cowls are still my favourite, honestly!
Though they’re admittedly my favorite year round, I love knitting socks in the winter. There’s just something about how cozy they make your hands while you work. (Though I’m currently gearing up to try this lovely scarf/shawl pattern — http://leahmichelledesigns.com/2016/06/28/free-pattern-jagged-triangular-scarf/ — which I may have seen here? So many knitting sites to keep track of!)
Wristers are a quick knit in the round for me, and make a lovely gift. My favorite wristers pattern is Fetching.
I love hats! And bonus: if you don’t need them, they make great things to donate.
If I’m being honest, it’s the “Overly Ambitious Christmas Present.” I’ve given several of these over the years. On Christmas day, the recipient gets to open a 1/2-3/4s of the way completed garment or item, still on the needles, and a few balls of yarn that haven’t even been started yet because I started knitting in late November knowing that I could surely finish if I just knit 1 hour a day every day until Christmas.
Yeah. Right.
They usually get the whole present sometime later in March…or so.
That spider cowl is so cute! I’ve got a cowl started already but could always use another one…
Scarves for fall!
I like knitting scarves.
I like making Bernant Blankets. It’s this thicker fleece type yarn that works up really fast. I’m in the process of making 4 of them for Christmas. They usually take about a week to start and finish which means I can get one for everyone in my family done fast.

So cute! I love scarves. There can never be enough scarves in the world. They are my favorite thing to knit and also to wear. I can’t be stopped. I’d have to send this one to my mom, but it’d be totally worth it!
How awesome!
I knit mostly hats and cowls in the fall as I love knitting in the round and they make great gifts for my sisters.
Hats are my jam. I can use the nicest, most expensive yarn because I need so little of it, and I only have to make one (unlike anything for hands or feet or arms)!
My favorite holiday projects are hats because they’re quick-ish and there’s an endless variety. Hats can be as simple or complicated as I want, and except for how easy they are to lose, everyone I knit and crochet for really appreciates them.
I’ve made this as a hat for my son! In a bright, flamey-orange. (So don’t put me in the drawing–someone else should get a chance to love it.) It’s adorable and fun to see the spiders working up.
I love me some hats. Fast, usually easy, usually appreciated!
It’s fall, so it’s time for a quick sweater! I like to knit all the things, really.
Fingerless mitts and a pair of thigh-high socks every autumn.
I just graduated from scarves to baby blankets. I’m working on my second now. I’d love to try something slightly more adventurous though
I’d love to give this pattern to my knitting BFF, so she’d feel obligated to knit it for me (joking). 😛 She is a sweater and fancy shawl pro!
I have been knitting a cowl with some linen yarn which has a very different feel. My other outstanding project is a screaming orange gigantic cowl with a cable for my 17-year old son who wears kilts and army boots. Seriously….I am so proud of this kid.
I love knitting in the round. Hats are especially fun. Lately I’ve been knitting nothing but baby blankets.
Hats. Quick, easy, and everyone needs a hat!
When there is a chill in the air the needles come out! I am in love with so many different things! Hats, cowels, and now sweater scarves!

Simple hats and shawls are about what I can manage! May have to aim for some fingerless gloves soon, as the weather cools more!
Amigurumi and toys! I knit and crochet both, and these are always the right size. I love the sculptural aspect of them as well. Right now I’m obsessed with making black cats and pumpkins.

My hands freeze all winter long, so I’m a big fan of knitting hand/wristwarmers in the winter. It’s just about time to bust some out…
I always start winter knitting so late and go so slowly that by the time I finish, it’s spring already! But big sweaters or shawls are nice to knit when it’s cold because the knitting in progress doubles as a blanket.
I’m making mittens for my daughter.
I took up crochet to make amigurumi, still working on my first project.
Socks! Every year my son gets a new pair.
Making a sweater for me to snuggle up in this winter
