  • All In

    All In by Simona Ahrnstedt

RECOMMENDED: All In by Simona Ahrnstedt is $2.99 at Amazon, Google:Play, and iBooks! Hopefully other vendors will match the price. Redheadedgirl gave the book an A:

I felt like this was full of Shakespearean drama, and scheming families, and hot sex, and gorgeous clothes, but also some important things to say about how the world is functioning. There’s a lot going on, though, and the ending a tad rushed.

In the cutthroat world of Sweden’s financial elite, no one knows that better than corporate raider David Hammar. Ruthless. Notorious. Unstoppable. He’s out to hijack the ultimate prize, Investum. After years of planning, all the players are in place; he needs just one member of the aristocratic owning family on his side–Natalia De la Grip.

Elegant, brilliant, driven to succeed in a man’s world, Natalia is curious about David’s unexpected invitation to lunch. Everyone knows that he is rich, dangerous, unethical; she soon discovers he is also deeply scarred.

The attraction between these two is impossible, but the long Swedish nights unfold an affair that will bring to light shocking secrets, forever alter a family, and force both Natalia and David to confront their innermost fears and desires.

  • Wishes

    Wishes by Jude Deveraux

RECOMMENDED: Wishes by Jude Deveraux is $1.99! This is a Kindle Daily Deal and is being matched elsewhere. The book is just plain, ridiculous fun and Redheadedgirl gave it an A- grade in her review:

This is a Cinderella story where the fairy godmother has actual learning and growing to do, too. That part was fun, and very silly, and the Cinderella motif was ladled on heavily. There was a ruined gown that gets replaced by a truly pimped-out dress. There was a magic wand. There was comeuppance for Nellie’s stupid family. It was emotionally satisfying, if not terribly complex, and I enjoyed it immensely.

Jace Montgomery was a stranger in Chandler. Tall, proud, and ruggedly handsome, he would make any woman’s heart beat faster…

Even shy, sweet Nellie Grayson — Nellie, who thought only of her beautiful younger sister’s happiness. With Nellie’s tireless aid, Terel Grayson easily became the belle of Chandler, Colorado.

Yet Jace, homesick for his close-knit family in Maine, took immediately to Nellie. For the first time, Nellie was the center of attention. It was a heady, delightful feeling…almost as wonderful as the moment when Jace gave her her very first kiss.

Nellie was sure her romantic idyll would end — how long could Jace resist the lovely Terel’s charms? But with the help of an enchanting new friend, Nellie would discover that her flirtatious sister might not be the woman to win the gallant Jace Montgomery….

  • Lady in Disguise

Lady in Disguise by Wendy Vella

Lady in Disguise by Wendy Vella is 99c at Amazon! The heroine is posing as a highwayman and runs into the dude who broke her heart. Awkward. Some readers love the characterization of the hero and heroine, while others felt the plot and romance were a bit over the top. This is the first book in the Langley Sisters series and has a 3.9-star rating on Goodreads.

Desperate and penniless, Miss Olivia Langley is out of options. To ensure her family’s survival she and her sister decide to take a drastic step – they don masks and take to the road as highwaymen. Disaster strikes when, inside the first carriage they rob, they find the one man Olivia had hoped never to see again. Five years ago Lord William Ryder had broken Livvy’s heart. Now he has returned and she has a bad feeling that if anyone can succeed at unmasking her deepest secrets, it will be him.

Will knew his return would be greeted with both joy and resentment, but after five years of hard living he was ready to come home and take his place in society. He had never forgotten Olivia no matter how hard he’d tried, and whilst he hadn’t imagined she would welcome him with open arms, the hostility and anger she displays are at odds with the woman he once knew. It is not long before he realizes she’s living a dangerous lie, and now that he’s back, Will is determined to keep her safe and finally claim her for his own.

    Colters’ Woman by Maya Banks

Colters’ Woman by Maya Banks is $2.99 at select vendors! This is an erotic romance with a four-way. Holly Bardwell is running from her past mistakes. Straight into the arms of the Colter brothers.

That curlicue on the V on Lady in Disguise!

Oh my god, Becky, look at his butt…

  2. Jenn says:

Am I the only one a little squicked out that the three guys in the fourway are brothers?

  3. Pam Shropshire says:

I’ve been reading romance, and mostly historical romance, for at least 35 years and I have read thousands of books. Wishes is one of the most unique, memorable and heartwarming of all the books I’ve ever read. I think it was the first book I read with a plus-sized heroine and I think it makes a very important point about loving our bodies no matter the size. Highly recommended!

  4. DonnaMarie says:

I’m with you @Jenn. Incest, blech.

  5. Lora says:

I’ve been wanting to read All In since i read RHG’s review. I’m so there.

  6. Susan says:

Confession time: I read Colters’ Woman years ago. I was more, ahem, adventurous in my tastes back then but, even so, it was not a particularly comfortable or enjoyable read for me. My tastes have since changed and I wouldn’t want to read it today for a number of reasons. The three brothers thing was weird, and the woman was such a damsel in distress, to boot. I’m just not into kink for the sake of kink, and I don’t want heroines who need to be protected. (And, IIRC, I think the multiple (related) guys with one woman was a family thing in that their parents had the same arrangement.) So, even at the sale price, save your time and money.

  7. Lizzie R says:

I echo Susan’s sentiment. I read Colters Woman when I was into my menage phase and was so dissappointed. To this day it remains the book I most rue spending time and money on.

  8. Ren Benton says:

I’m more squicked out by the “damsel in distress” being “rescued” by a bunch of guys who want to gangbang her than I am about the incest implications.

“We’ll keep you safe… right after the orgy.”
“I’ll stay in the snow and die, thanks.”

  9. Kara says:

I loved Wishes. It was adorable. I always wanted the “fairy godmother” to make an appearance again. Come on Jude, make it happen!

  10. SusanE says:

Ren, that was my first thought too. You read my mind!

  11. ju says:

for everyone who recommended Wishes, thank you! I am loving it!
