Giveaway: Cute Kate Spade Maxi Tote and a Bookstore Giftcard!

We have another Kate Spade giveaway! Seriously, we love finding cute things we can give out to the Bitchery, and our previous books & bag giveaways are always well-received.

This time, we have the Kate Spade Sawyer Street Maxi Tote in Posy Pink.

Kate Spade Posy Pink Sawyer Street tote bag

My purses tend to be black because I’m a mess of a person, so I’m kind of in love with this soft, blush color. Here are the official specs:

  • 11.7″ (29.71cm) high x 12.9″ (32.76cm) wide x 5.5″ deep (13.97cm)
  • handle drop is 8.3″ (that’s the space between the top of the handle and the top of the bag itself – and that’s plenty of room to put this tote over your shoulder)
  • leather with interior zip pocket and double slide pockets

And, since there’s plenty of room inside, we’re including a $50.00 giftcard to the bookstore of the winner’s choosing. Get ready to fill that bag with books or at least a well-stocked e-reader.

Standard disclaimers apply: I’m not being compensated for this giveaway except that I got to go shopping online which means I didn’t have to wear shoes or real pants. Void where prohibited. Open to international residents where permitted by applicable law. Must be over 18 and ready to carry some or all of the things, including the books you like best. Stop drop and roll. In the event of an actual clearance sale, all items will be immediately placed in the shopping cart and all discount codes available worldwide will be automatically applied (wouldn’t that be nice). Mind the gap and the handle drop, too. Comments will close Friday 26 August 2016 and winner announced same day. Please note that due to travel, prize will be shipped after August 28, 2016.

Ready to enter? Leave a comment and let me know what book you’d buy first if you won. Good luck!

UPDATE: Congratulations to Lorelai! Keep an eye on your inbox and thanks so much to everyone who comment. My TBR pile, however, is a little upset at all the book recs.

  1. Joie Davis says:

Forever Free by Joe Haldeman. And the new Evanovich books! Maybe something on clearance that strikes my fancy…

  2. Mary says:

Tessa Dare or Jennifer Ashley’s latest, depending on when I win!!

  3. Monica says:

I would pre-order the latest book by Ilona Andrews, Magic Binds, which is due out in September. I love the Kate Daniels series!

  4. PetiteJ says:

I’m interested to read Beautiful Wreck that was just reviewed. But I probably really need a how-to on raising a rising kindergartener. Because I’m floundering.

  5. Patti says:

I’d pre-order The Secrets of Wishtide by Kate Saunders.

  6. Melanie says:

Smoke and Ashes by Danica Winters.

  7. Donna says:

I would buy Extreme Prey by John Sandford.

  8. Lisa M says:

I haven’t picked up the new Harry Potter book/play, so that’d be one I’d invest in to carry about.

  9. Laura Rush says:

I have been wanting to read Lessons in Laughing Out Loud by Rowan Coleman, because of Magic Shoes! Also because the heroine has weight issues, and you do not come across that too often

  10. Wendy M. says:

LOCKED by Ella Frank and Brooke Blaine (I would pre-order it)

  11. jaymzangel says:

Tessa Dare’s Do You Want to Start a Scandal, I am dying for this book!

  12. Gloriamarie says:

I would complete my collection of the Bobbie Faye series by Toni McGee Causey.

  13. TrishJ says:

This is hard. But with $50 I could get the latest Jill Shalvis or Virginia Kantra or just start whittling down my wish list. Thanks for the chance to win

  14. Erin says:

I’ve recently discovered the October Daye series so I’d buy Ashes of Honor by Seanan McGuire.

  15. Christa says:

I probably cannot apply because of being Swiss. But the bag is so so lovely, sigh.
I would have a real hard time picking what to buy. I´d probably splash on the complete Pax Arcana series, as far as they are available. I only own the first three, and only on audio. That way I´d finally get the paper copies, and the fourth one, too.

  16. Melany Im says:

FIRST STAR I SEE TONIGHT!!! Cant wait for that one!

  17. Angela Thayer says:

I’d buy Moon Craving by Lucy Monroe. This is my favorite book. I need to have a copy on hand. The hero’s care for his Lady is so touching. Of course there is misunderstanding and hurt feelings but the love remains and sees them thru.

  18. Sharon says:

The Girl on the Train – it comes highly recommended, it’s on my must-read list.

  19. Katherine says:

I just recently added Nora Roberts to my circulation so my physical book collection isn’t as robust as my Catherine Coulter and J collection. (Judith McNaught, Julie Garwood, Jude Devereux and Johanna Lindsay.) Need to get all them books!

  20. Erica H says:

Archangel’s heart by Nalini Singh is definitely the first book I would purchase!

  21. Donna Holstein says:

I just found the Rockport illustrated Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen, illustrated by Alice Pattullo and it looks gorgeous and would go great in that bag, even it it weighed it down by a whopping 3 pounds.

  22. Anoia says:

Oooh all bags should be judged by the number of books one can fit in them and that one looks like it would carry quite a few and my ereader loaded with all the Georgette Heyers that are on sale right now.

  23. Kim says:

Definitely Magic Binds – Ilona Andrews or Do You Want to Start a Scandal – Tessa Dare… because:)

  24. Katie Lynn says:

Stealing His Thunder by Sparrow Beckett. I’ve been holding off on pulling the trigger to purchase it for some reason, but if it were essentially free that would be my first purchase.

  25. Becks H says:

I would buy Trade Me by Courtney Milan. I’ve been on the waiting list forever at my library so I would love to jump the list and get my hands on that book!

  26. Heather RR says:

I’d buy my next Laura Florand.

  27. Anne Fescharek says:

I never win these things –BUT hope springs eternal…I’m CRAVING SEP’s “First Star I See Tonight” Back to the football players! WAHOO!!!

  28. Mary says:

I would buy “The Light Between Oceans” to read before the movie comes out!

  29. I’d buy up all of Jeannie Lin’s backlist novels that I haven’t read yet!

  30. I’d order Susan Elizabeth Phillips’s new book ‘First Star I see Tonight’, because that woman could write the back of a cereal packet and I’d want to read it. Plus that pink bag looks big enough for a book and an actual packet of cereal, so it would be a win-win!

  31. Karin says:

There are a couple of nonfiction books I’ve been wanting to buy: “Carsick” by John Waters(the well-known director of movies like “Hairspray” and “Pink Flamingos”). It’s about his trip hitchhiking across America. Also, “Lafayette in the Somewhat United States” by Sarah Vowell. She does history with a dose of snark.
By the way, pink is my color!

  32. Heather says:

I would buy The Blue Sword by Robin McKinley, one of my favorite books of all time which I recently noticed has been released in ebook format.

  33. Ms. Christian says:

A Scot in the Dark by Sarah MacLean

  34. Karen says:

I’d preorder Dana Stabenow’s next book – #21 in her Kate Shugak series. Don’t think there is a title yet, and I think it’s supposed to appear by the end of this year. No problem – I’ll wait.

  35. Jessica says:

Probably a Nora Roberts since her books rarely go on sale

  36. Mary says:

Pretty in Pink bag! Definitely preorder Duke of Pleasure by Elizabeth Hoyt!

  37. Margarita says:

Tessa Dare’s Do You want to Start a Scandal… and American Gods so I can catch up before the show starts.

  38. K says:

Oh, how pretty is that bag? I’d probably stain it in the first five minutes of owning it, but I’d feel like a princess for those few pristine minutes! I’d fill my kindle app with lots of great cooking books- I’m into hard candy right now- plus some catch-up novels in my TBR list, maybe a gardening book or two… So many options!

  39. Judy W. says:

Ilona Andrews Magic Binds hardback would fit in this purse nicely!

  40. Mad Madam M says:

I would buy Stiletto by Daniel O’Malley!
