To One Hundred
To One Hundred by Melissa Blue is 99c at select vendors! I’ve heard great things about Blue’s writing and this is the first book in her #dirtysexygeeks series. The romance is a taboo relationship between a teacher and a student, though the hero and heroine originally meet and flirt online before they realize who they are in person. Readers loved the premise, but found it hard to find the connection between the hero and heroine.
When they met online they were equals…Then she walks into his classroom.
For four months Eva March shared almost every secret with a handsome stranger. It was easy when she didn’t have to meet his gaze in real life. The online flirtation was fun. She could be a strong, put-together woman without a sordid past. Most importantly, he’d never know the truth.
Grady Addison takes his job as a professor seriously. He doesn’t sleep with co-eds, much less his students. Eva doesn’t even fit his leggy, peppy blonde requirements, but he can’t walk away now. He’s spent too much time fantasizing about her, her smile and the way her eyes darken when she thinks of her past.
And her past is a problem. The secrets she hasn’t yet told him could end his career and for Eva, her life could just come crashing down…again.

Fighting Dirty
Fighting Dirty by Sidney Halston is 99c! The hero is a Brazilian banker who competes on the amateur MMA circuit and the heroine is a bartender with magenta hair. There is an opposites attract element that readers enjoyed, but some found the heroine to be rather selfish. It has a 4.1-star rating on Goodreads.
If you love the MMA romances of Vi Keeland and Kendall Ryan, Sidney Halston’s Worth the Fight series will knock your socks off! In Fighting Dirty, a geek-chic cage fighter proves that appearances can be deceiving . . . and oh-so-tempting.
With his preppy clothes and horn-rimmed glasses, Enzo Silva is the last dude anyone expects to find in a mixed martial arts gym. A wealthy Brazilian banker who never had to fight for anything, Enzo’s stuck in the amateur circuit—but he burns to make the pros. Maybe that explains the heat he feels whenever he’s around Jamie Lynn Calhoun. The pint-size, magenta-haired bartender with the Texas drawl is everything he’s not . . . and everything he craves.
Tough as nails and independent to a fault, Jamie Lynn—JL to her friends—works hard to pay her bills and keep life simple. Enzo is doing his best to complicate that. Even though she likes to bust his balls, he’s got some kind of a nerdy-hot vibe that makes JL wonder if she might finally be able to let her guard down. It might do the boy some good to spend some time in her world, where blood, sweat, and victory are as sweet as the first taste of real love.

Taking Shots
Taking Shots by Toni Aleo is 99c and is a hockey-themed contemporary romance. This is the first book in The Assassins series and was featured in some cover snark. Many readers loved the relationship development between the heroine and her, but some found it rather boring.
In Toni Aleo’s exhilarating Loveswept debut, the first in a series featuring the hockey hunks of the Nashville Assassins, a reformed bad boy helps a charming, willful woman face off against the demons of her past.
No matter how hard she tries, Elleanor Fisher never thinks she’s good enough, from her job to her weight to her love life. After enduring years of abuse at the hands of an ex-boyfriend, Elli has been drifting through life in a daze. Until, that is, she meets Shea Adler on a promotional shoot for the NHL’s Nashville Assassins. Before Elli knows what’s happening, the gorgeous Shea breaks the ice and shatters her world.
A brilliant athlete inside the rink, Shea Adler is tired of the life he’s living outside of it: the women, the money, the drinking. But everything changes when he meets Elli. After laying eyes on this feisty, witty, beautiful woman, he feels like he’s just taken the hardest hit of his life. No matter how skeptical she is, Shea knows they are meant to be together—if only he can convince Elli to put her insecurities aside before she misses out on a shot at love.

Pass Interference
Pass Interference by Desiree Holt is 99c! This is the third book in the Game On series and the second book is also on sale for 99c! The hero is a former athlete turned bodyguard and the heroine is the coach’s daughter. Readers found the heroine to be a bit spoiled, while many loved the hero. Have you read this one?
No Rules. No Limits.
Party girl Tyler Gillette has just one rule: no football players. As the daughter of the owner of the San Antonio Hawks, she grew up in the shadow of the sport and her father’s enormous wealth. She was even named Tyler because he wanted a boy. Life couldn’t have drawn up a better play for turning her into a wild child—until that same life is threatened by someone from the past . . .
Former Hawks running back Rafe Ortiz has a few rules of his own. First, no weaknesses. Second, no babysitting spoiled football princesses. But his new career as a bodyguard means he’s responsible for protecting the beautiful Tyler Gillette from her mysterious stalker. But keeping his hands off her might be harder than keeping her safe . . .

I’ve read (and enjoyed) both Taking Shots and Fighting Dirty. Fighting Dirty is several books into Halston’s series, which may have lent it some depth of characters that wouldn’t come through if you’ve not read the other books, but I really enjoyed it, and it may be my favorite book in that series.
I read a novella earlier this week that was very cute and is free, it’s called The Last Single Girl by Bria Quinlan. It’s the first book in the Brew Ha Ha series, the second was featured here and I picked it up at the beginning of the year and liked it. The third book is also currently on sale for $1, The Catching Kind. They’re ‘clean’ romances, but I honestly didn’t notice because they’re quick, fast-paced reads.
