  • Wolfishly Yours

    Wolfishly Yours by Lydia Dare

Wolfishly Yours by Lydia Dare is $1.99! This is a paranormal historical romance with shifters set during the Regency. Readers wished there was more interaction between the hero and heroine, but may loved the heroine’s attitude. It has a 3.9-star rating on Goodreads.

Regency England Has Gone To The Wolves!

    It Takes A Beast…

Grayson Hadley is in his own special hell-being treated like a wayward pup by the tutor employed to turn him into a true gentleman. So when he meets a hot-blooded American beauty with the mark of a Lycan, he’s only too glad to slip his leash.

To Bring This Lady To Heel

Accustomed to running wild in the swamps of Louisiana, Miss Liviana Mayeux is shipped off to her grandfather’s in London to learn a thing or two about polite society. • Chasing Jillian

    Chasing Jillian by Julie Brannagh

Chasing Jillian by Julie Brannagh is $1.99 at most vendors! This is a sports contemporary romance with a workplace romance trope. The heroine sneaks into the team’s gym after hours and a fellow player shows up, and I find the idea of late night workouts together to be kind of adorable. Readers enjoyed how the hero and heroine help each other, while others found the relationship a little too easy. You can also own all five books in this series for less than $12, plus the next book that comes out in September is available to preorder for $2.99!

Score a touchdown with Julie Brannagh’s latest Love and Football novel—about discovering who you are and finding love along the way.

Jillian Miller likes her job working in the front office for the Seattle Sharks, but lately being surrounded by a constant parade of perfection only seems to make her own imperfections all the more obvious. She needs a change, which takes her into foreign territory: the Sharks’ workout facility after hours. The last thing she expects is a hot, grumbly god among men to be there as witness.

Star linebacker Seth Taylor has had a bad day—well, a series of them recently. When he hits the Sharks’ gym to work out his frustration, he’s startled to find someone there—and even more surprised that it’s Jillian, the team owner’s administrative assistant. When he learns of her mission to revamp her lifestyle, he finds himself volunteering to help. Something about Jillian’s beautiful smile and quick wit makes him want to stick around. She may not be like the swimsuit models he usually has on his arm, but the more time Seth spends with her, the harder he falls.

And as Jillian discovers that the new her is about so much more than she sees in the mirror, can she discover that happiness and love are oh-so-much better than perfect?

  • Becoming Marie Antoinette

Becoming Marie Antoinette by Juliet Grey

Becoming Marie Antoinette by Juliet Grey is $1.99! I used to be obsessed with historical fiction (shout out to my 10th grade binge reading of everything Philippa Gregory wrote), and readers on Goodreads definitely recommend this for fans of Gregory. However, this is the first in a trilogy, so there were parts about Antoinette’s life that readers wanted to see, but weren’t touched on in this first book. Have you read this?

This enthralling confection of a novel, the first in a new trilogy, follows the transformation of a coddled Austrian archduchess into the reckless, powerful, beautiful queen Marie Antoinette.

Why must it be me? I wondered. When I am so clearly inadequate to my destiny?

Raised alongside her numerous brothers and sisters by the formidable empress of Austria, ten-year-old Maria Antonia knew that her idyllic existence would one day be sacrificed to her mother’s political ambitions. What she never anticipated was that the day in question would come so soon.

Before she can journey from sunlit picnics with her sisters in Vienna to the glitter, glamour, and gossip of Versailles, Antonia must change everything about herself in order to be accepted as dauphine of France and the wife of the awkward teenage boy who will one day be Louis XVI. Yet nothing can prepare her for the ingenuity and influence it will take to become queen.

Filled with smart history, treacherous rivalries, lavish clothes, and sparkling jewels, Becoming Marie Antoinette will utterly captivate fiction and history lovers alike.

  • Someone Like You

Someone Like You by Susan Mallery

Someone Like You by Susan Mallery is $1.99! This is a small town romance and the first book in the Los Lobos series. Readers do mention that despite the lighthearted looking cover, there are some tough topics like spousal abuse and the child custody issues. But many say Mallery handles them rather well. It has a 3.9-star rating on Goodreads.

Sometimes even a city girl needs the comforts of home…

Jill Strathern left town for the big city and never looked back—until she returned home years later to run a small law practice. It turns out her childhood crush, Mac Kendrick, a burned-out LAPD cop, has also come back to sleepy Los Lobos. Even though Mac rejected her back in high school, Jill can’t deny the attraction she still feels for him.

Now Jill and Mac are tangled in enough drama to satisfy the most jaded L.A. denizens—Mafia dons, social workers, angry exes and one very quirky eight-year-old make even the simplest romance complicated. And it all goes to prove that when it comes to affairs of the heart, there’s no place like home. An unlikely pair…but a perfect match.

  1. L. says:

I really can’t recommend Becoming Marie Antoinette. I got to the 70% mark (and that took work!) but couldn’t find the strength to keep on reading. Antoinette, at least in this book, just wasn’t that interesting a character. Something tells me she wasn’t all that interesting in real life but none of us want to admit it.

  2. Kate says:

“The Girls” by Emma Cline is $4.99 and “Eligible” by Curtis Sittenfeld is $3.99 today!
