Giveaway: An Adorable Kate Spade Bag and a Bookstore Giftcard!

I know you all like cute bags and book shopping, and with the response to prior giveaways involving books and bags, and with the most excellent results of sale shopping, I have another Kate Spade tote and a bookstore giftcard to give away!

(I’ll be honest – it’s really fun to plan giveaways and pick out things that I am pretty sure you’ll be excited about.)

I have a very cute Kate Spade tote bag, the Gallery Drive Small Harmony in multi – which is a print made of overlapping grey and pink polka dots on a black background.

Kate Spade Gallery Drive tote bag with pink and grey polka dots on it

Isn’t it adorable? And it’s plenty big to hold all sorts of necessary things. Here are the official specs:

  • 9.9″ (25.14cm) high x 11.9″ (30.22cm) wide x 6.2″ (15.74cm) deep
  • handle drop is 9″ (that’s the space between the top of the handle and the top of the bag itself – and that’s plenty of room to put this tote over your shoulder)
  • it’s not leather – it’s glazed fabric so it’s sturdy enough to stand up on its own, but not too heavy to carry

And, since there’s plenty of room inside, I’m including a $50.00 giftcard to the bookstore of the winner’s choosing. Woo! Fill it with books! All the books!

Standard disclaimers apply: I’m not being compensated for this giveaway except that I got to go shopping online which means I didn’t have to wear shoes or real pants. Void where prohibited. Open to international residents where permitted by applicable law. Must be over 18 and ready to carry some or all of the things, including the books you like best. Stop drop and roll. In the event of an actual clearance sale, all items will be immediately placed in the shopping cart and all discount codes available worldwide will be automatically applied (wouldn’t that be nice). Mind the gap and the handle drop, too. Comments will close Friday 8 July 2016 and winner announced same day. Please note that due to international travel, prize will be shipped after July 16, 2016.

ETA: We have a winner: Peggy H! Congratulations, Peggy, and thank you to everyone who entered!

If I won, I would probably buy something by Brenda Novak. I’ve yet to read anything by her, and my mother-in-law really enjoys her books, so as we ofen swap books, I’d like to try a book by Ms. Novak.

  2. Kelsey says:

I’ve been wanting to read The Rose and the Dagger forever! I also might buy one of the pretty classics floating around at B&N. I work nights at a psych hospital, so there’s some nights where I literally sit in a dark room for 12 hours and fly through books. I normally buy my books at dollar day at the thrift store, so it’d be nice to have something new!

  3. Gloriamarie says:

  7. cin says:

My son’s birthday is coming up in a few weeks. Despite being a total computer nerd and proponent of all things electronic, he still loves reading actual, physical books. So, I would keep the bag for me :), but I would use the gift card to buy him some real books. Maybe replace his LOTR series, which is falling apart…

  8. Shana says:

I have quite the to-read list. But I’d probably go all geek and get a couple of librarianship and management books I’ve been eyeing. Those suckers are expensive. Specifically “Using OpenRefine”, “Linked Data for Libraries, Archives, and Museums”, “The Courageous Follower”, or “The Art of Followership”. Yeah. I need help. This is why I read romance novels. My brain needs a break. 😉

Or I’ll go nuts on my B&N romance ebook wish list(s) and get ALL the paranormal/shapeshifter books I’ve been eyeing for months…

  9. Kimberly B. says:

I would buy Kat Howard’s Roses and Rot. Thanks for the great giveaway!

  10. Sharon says:

SO MANY BOOKS TO CHOOSE FROM! But right now, after listening to several recent podcasts in which this book was mentioned, I think I would purchase both “Nuts” and “Cream of the Crop” by Alice Clayton

  11. Kathryn says:

The Summer Bride by Anne Gracie

  12. Aliyah says:

I just finished Dirty by Kylie Scott and loved it… but I borrowed it from the library so I would love to buy it and read it over and over again.

  13. Priscilla S. says:

I would buy Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty.

  14. Misha Day says:

If I’m going to put it in the bag, it’d be a new Kindle (the battery on my ancient one is finally dying). And then the first ebook I’d load would be Penric and the Shaman by Lois McMaster Bujold.

  15. Texas Book Lover says:

That bag is super cute! I’d get the new Charlie Davidson book The Curse of 10th Grave first!

  18. Jenn says:

Cute bag! Haven’t read the comments, so maybe this has been mentioned. I’d buy “The Bad-Ass Librarians of Timbuktu: And Their Race to Save the World’s Most Precious Manuscripts” by Joshua Hammer. It’s about the successful effort to save materials from Al Qaeda How often do you get to read about bad-ass librarians, archivists and historians?

  19. Pegi Frostholm says:

I’d buy any book by Elizabeth Hoyt! Or Elizabeth Boyle. Or Eloisa James… SO hard to choose only one!

  20. Sarah says:

I really enjoyed your chat with Shelly Laurenston, so I’d buy The Unleashing. And Heroine Complex 🙂

I would buy The Girl from Summer Hill and Sweetbitter.

  23. Lora says:

I’d buy “Named of the Dragon” by Susanna Kearsley. I love her books but they are sort of pricey. I’m also keen to try some Lisa Kleypas, whom I’ve never read. I’m a teacher on summer break and so far most of what I’ve read is in the vein of picture books to my daughter.

  24. flyingchipmunk says:

The essential new York times cookbook! I covet it.

  25. Brit says:

    Every heart a doorway
I have been wanting to buy that book.

  26. Alicia says:

I would buy as many Kristen Ashley books in paperback as I could. Love her.

  27. Saturngirl says:

Hm. Hamiltome for hubby, or NK Jemison’s Obelisk Gate, because the first book only partially destroyed me.

  28. Connie M. says:

I’d buy the latest Anna Huber!

  29. Kit says:

I’d probably buy Anna Lee Huber’s newest book – As Death Draws Near – and then I’d pick up all of the Anatomist’s Wife books!! Love them all and I am a sucker for owning books.

  30. Susan Christy says:

I would buy Luckiest Girl Alive

  31. Erin L says:

That is a tough question. I think the most recent Delphin Dryden, I love her nerdiness in her books.

  32. Ashley Morris says:

Probably Owl and the Japanese Circus by Kristi Charish. I’ve heard good things, and love a good being-forced-to-steal-things-and-save-the-country/world plot line.

  33. yy says:

OHH I recently moved and lost my copy of World War Z, so that might be the first..

  36. Zoya says:

    Perhaps the new Jill Shalvis!

  37. BlueberryPie says:

My first purchase would be Cream of the Crop!

I’d get one of the new releases on my list, The Woman in the Photo, by Mary Hogan.

  39. Meg says:

    Complete Calvin & Hobbes

  40. Katie says:

I’d buy Eligible by Curtis Sittenfeld and I’d also buy You’ll Grow Out of It by Jessi Klein (a series of essays by Amy Schumer’s head writer for her show).
