For the 4th of July, All Romance is having a 50% rebate! These rebates mean that half of what you spend on ebooks will be turned into “ebook bucks” to be used on a future purchase at the site.
Thanks to Reader Virginia E, who commented on the last rebate, for sharing some additional details:
ARE only offers the rebate on books marked with the little crown icon. Not all publishers participate in the rebate offers, so check carefully. You have to purchase with either Paypal or a credit card to get the rebates. Keep in mind that ARE operates on Central Time not Eastern time. This affects starting and ending times for offers.

Even Odds
Even Odds by Elia Winters is $1.99! I’m not sure if this is the sale price or standard price, but it just came out today. I also mentioned it on this month’s Hide Your Wallet post! Early reviews of the book say that readers loved the setting of the gaming industry, but found the hero and heroine lacked chemistry. Any takers?
Geeky meets kinky in this first deliciously sexy novel in the Slices of Pi series by RITA-nominated author Elia Winters, which follows the romantic rendezvous of the employees at PI Games, a gaming company based out of sultry Florida.
As a design manager at PI Games, Isabel Suarez is no stranger to the struggles of being a woman in a male-dominated industry. But when her team attends a gaming convention on the other side of the country, she figures there’s no harm in putting aside her professional demeanor for one weekend to participate in a risqué scavenger hunt. Why shouldn’t she let loose and have a little fun?
A careless romp soon turns into more, however, when Isabel ends up having a fling with Caleb Portland, an artist and animator, without knowing he has just been hired to partner with her at her company—and Caleb can’t bring himself to tell her. When they end up coworkers a few weeks later, they need to find a way to work together and keep things strictly professional. Caleb doesn’t want to take on a relationship and risk failure. Isabel doesn’t want to risk ruining the professional reputation she’s worked so hard to develop. But when faced with the undeniable sizzling chemistry between them, will either of them be able to resist temptation?
A sexy and witty tale of romance and modern workplace politics, Even Odds is the latest winning entry in Elia Winters’ unique and well-loved erotic novels.

The Dangerous Gentleman
The Dangerous Gentleman by Julia London is $1.99! This is a historical romance that seems to pick up once the hero and heroine are married. Readers on Goodreads recommend this to those who prefer their romances on the angsty and emotional side, while others didn’t seem to like the hero or the heroine very much. Have you read this one?
The Rogues of Regent Street
With her trademark sensuality and dazzling storytelling, Julia London brings us the Rogues of Regent Street, three dashing, aristocratic gentlemen whose scandalous exploits are the talk of the ton. Adrian Spence, Earl of Albright, has earned his notoriety on the dueling field, and in the finest drawing rooms-and boudoirs-of England. This is his story…
THE DANGEROUS GENTLEMAN
It was strictly business as Adrian Spence claimed the woman his brother desired. A hasty wedding, and Lilliana Dashell was his-sweet revenge on the father who disinherited him and the brother who let it happen. Their wedding night is a revelation as passionate, innocent Lilliana ignites fires Adrian tries desperately to deny. By day he is a stranger. By night he is the lover her dreams, and she a shameless wanton in his arms. But Adrian is determined that no woman will ever possess him. And Lilliana knows that her only hope of taming this very dangerous gentleman is to unlock his deepest mysteries and open his shuttered heart to love.

Stay with Me
Stay with Me by Samantha Chase is $1.99 at Amazon and Google:Play! This is the third book in the Montgomery Brothers series and features a friends to lovers romance. Many readers love Chase’s writing and note that her romances have a “fade to black” approach to sex scenes. However, other readers mention that they didn’t quite understand the hero’s reluctance when it came to relationships. It has a 4-star rating and the previous book, Trust in Me, which is more a novella-length book is on sale for 99c!
Was a little peace and quiet too much to hope for?
Mac Montgomery spent two years watching his father play matchmaker for his brothers and their wives and as the last Montgomery standing, he knew it wouldn’t be long until all eyes would be on him. While he couldn’t deny that things had worked out well for his siblings, the last thing that Mac wanted was to get married and settle down.
He hadn’t counted on his father not wanting to set him up with anyone.
And he hadn’t counted on Gina Micelli.
After more than a dozen years away from her beloved family friends, Gina Micelli comes home to take care of her ailing father. Some of her most cherished memories are of the times she spent with the Montgomerys – and her crush on Mac. She was a child when she moved away, but now as a grown woman, the thought of seeing Mac again actually has her wondering at the possibilities.
Ever the responsible one, Mac makes sure that Gina is taken care of during such an emotional time. He wants to see her as a friend, as the girl that he remembers from his youth. Unfortunately, the beautiful woman she has grown into has all thoughts of a platonic relationship flying out the window. Torn between honor and passion and peace or chaos, all Mac knows is that his life is never going to be the same.
The timing is all wrong but for two people fighting for control over their own lives, their response to one another is anything but.

Daniel’s True Desire
Daniel’s True Desire by Grace Burrowes is $2.99 at Amazon! Hopefully, there will be some price-matching! This is the second book in the True Gentleman series and features a vicar hero. Some readers loved the hero, while others had some issues with his “big secret.” If you want to be spoiled and read a very thorough review of the plot, I found this Goodreads review to be helpful.
An Honorable Life
Daniel Banks is a man of the cloth whose vocation is the last comfort he has left-and even his churchman’s collar is beginning to feel like a noose. At the urging of family, Daniel attempts to start his life over as vicar in the sleepy Kentish town of Haddondale, family seat to the earls of Bellefonte.
Challenged by Passion
Resigned to spinsterhood, Lady Kirsten Haddonfield welcomes the new vicar to stay at her family’s home while his is under renovation. Suddenly the handsome visitor has Kirsten rethinking her ideas about love and marriage, but a dreadful secret from Daniel’s past may cast a shadow too long for either of them to overcome.

Barnes and Noble has 24% off a single item with the code BNFIREWORK
Seanan McGuire’s ROSEMARY AND RUE, the first Toby Daye book, is on sale at Amazon for $1.99. Her books are seldom discounted.
@Mary Star: Apparently the code is only valid for BN members and not for digital books. Bummer, but thanks for posting.
Any Duchesss Will Do by Tessa Dare is $1.99 on Amazon and iBooks.
Sophia Khan is Not Obliged is $1.09 on Amazon. I’ve been wanting to read this book since I first heard about it.
@Darlynne, re: B&N 24% coupon, I just used it and I’m not a member (I also checked the T&C and didn’t see anything about members only). It is only good online and not on Nook (“digital”) books–but their coupons never are with digital books (at least in my experience).
Might be worth a re-try…
Oops, I should have added to the “re-try” comment…if there’s a paper / hardback you’ve been eyeing…Sorry!
(For me, that was “Lab Girl”!)
Gretchen Galway new release is 99 cents on Amazon: romantic comedy, friends to lovers — I loved it.
@ Caspian: Gretchen Galway’s novel is Going for Broke, excuse my incomplete, previous post.
@Rikki: Thanks! Looked good so I just bought Sofia Khan is Not Obliged and used up 25% of my Apple settlement credit. Woo Hoo! = P
@SPA: I just tried again to buy the trade PB of Brian Vaughan’s SAGA Vol. 6 and after adding the code, this appeared, twice: “This coupon code requires a valid B&N Membership. Already a Member? Add your Member number to your BN.com account.”
Did you check out as a guest?
@Darlynne, I have a B&N account but am not a member. I checked out after logging in to my account (to autofill shipping and payment info)–so, not as a guest but not as a member, either. I used the offer code that is mentioned in the banner ad on the B&N homepage and also in the “Coupons and Deals” section of the Books tab.
In my experience, if a discount’s posted on the B&N site it isn’t restricted to members. I looked at the T&C again and they don’t say that an account is necessary so I’m at a loss about what to suggest that might work for you.
Wish I could be more helpful…
@Darlynne, one other thought–looks as if the book you want is a pre-order. B&N coupons also don’t usually apply to pre-orders (but didn’t check the T&C to confirm). I won’t shop Amazon so don’t know if these are all restrictions that don’t happen there…
Apologies to all for taking so much real estate here. Also just realized it may read as if I work for B&N–absolutely not!
@SPA: I was going to try again, but you’re right about the preorder, even though the book is available tomorrow. I wouldn’t be shopping at BN except for the settlement rebate, and I was thisclose to getting a physical book I actually wanted. I do thank you for your help. Happy fourth.
Some free Kindle books that looked interesting:
Star King (Susan King)
Nora Roberts Land (Ava Miles)
Touching the Clouds (Bonnie Leon)
The Last Necromancer (CJ Archer)
My Own Mr. Darcy (Karey White)
A Hidden Fire (Elizabeth Hunter)
I highly recommend the Elizabeth Hunter series … although A Hidden Fire seemed to be slower paced in order to set up the characters and their world.
