Want to enter? Sure thing! Just leave a comment below and tell us your favorite useful thing on your desk right now. Not at your desk? No worries! Tell us about an item that is always useful and near by that you value a lot.
Standard disclaimers apply: I am not being compensated for this giveaway. Void where prohibited. Open to international residents where permitted by applicable law. Must be over 18 and ready to be stylishly organized. Try not to staple your finger. That really hurts. Binder clips can be addictive in their usefulness. Please be advised. Comments will close Friday June 3 around noon ET and winner will be announced shortly afterward.
Good luck!
ETA 3 JUNE: We have winners!
Our grand prize winner: Bee!
Runners up are Melanie, Carrie, and bahamia.
Thank you to everyone who entered, and congratulations to our winners! Happy reading!

My “I’m silently correcting you’re [crossed out] your grammar” coffee mug.
Aside from my computer, I would have to say my notepad and pen.
My to do list and highlighter pen……always forgot to do things if I don’t write them down.
A stack of napkins – to mop up the coffee I always seem to spill on my desk. Ooops!
My favorite useful thing on my desk is my “From the Library of” stamp that I use in the books that go into my young adult literature library books and all of my office books. The stamp serves as a friendly reminder to my students (and anyone else who borrows my books) that they need to return the books to me.
most useful thing on my desk is my planner!
My favorite thing is a sticky note to-do list that I got from KnockKnock (you can find it here: http://knockknockstuff.com/product/todays-plan-of-attack-big-sticky/). Single best thing I did to organize what I need to get done each day at work because it *limits* the amount of things I can put on the most critical list which takes the pressure off of getting everything done today.
Ballpoint pens! I always have notes to write or lists to make or to-do items that need accomplishing.
My favorite useful thing on my desk is my bead spinner! It’s how I made the jewelry I sell 🙂 Thanks for the RAD giveaway! xx
The little box with the logo of my favorite football team on it. It keeps all the keys I need for work in one place. It’s also a great place to keep any candy…
Binder clips. I use a ton of them and love them. After that, my pens. I always have one Pilot G-2 in blue on my desk, a box in my drawer, and a few red ones floating around.
Magnyfying glass. When I have to read the fine print.
An ikea tape measure. Less than $2 and I use it in knitting, sewing, random measuring, actual work (archaeology AND retail) and when I’m bored I fidget with it endlessly.
My pen edges out my legal pad because I can always take notes on my hand if necessary.
My pen my chrildren got me for Mother’s Day x
My drink coaster is my favorite thing on my desk. It keeps my iced caramel latte from dripping all over my desk.
My notepad, as long as I have a pen. Thanks for the great giveaway!
For me it’s my trusty Pilot G2 pens and my plethora of post-it notes. I couldn’t work without them.
Well, my computer, ipad, phone, and ereader are all on my desk at the moment. In addition, I’ve got my purse, SLR, probiotics, nail file, steno pads, assorted Kind bars, multiple flash drives, hand cream, lip balm, various charger cables, a lint brush, lens wipes, sticky bug killer tower, and bananagrams. The *most* useful? I’d have to give it to my phone.
Most useful item: My ridiculously expensive Day Designer, which was a gift from a friend. I love making to-do lists!
pink pen and post-its
Paper clips
my ipod classic. Why oh why did they stop making them?
index cards! love them.
I love my kitty cat post-it holder. I’ve got the matching tape holder too.
Definitely my coffee/tea mug! I would be useless without caffeine…
Post-it notes, of all sizes. I use them constantly to leave myself notes about everything!
Post-it notes. I have several pads of assorted colors and leave notes on my wall, on my desk, on my computer…
I’d love to enter! One thing always by my computer is my lap desk. It is made from bamboo wood and I use it every day to sit with my laptop on the couch. I love it to pieces – comfortable and pretty.
My planner!
The most useful thing on my desk right now is my BIC 4-Color pen. It’s fantastic for keeping notes organized.
Post it notes all the way. Otherwise I write on the back of anything.
My most useful desk item is a good heavy pair of scissors, the old-timey metal shear variety. Bonus points for them doubling as a weapon if the office ever gets invaded =)
Sticky notes! I could not remember any of my ideas, things on my list of things to do or grocery lists without post its in different colours and sizes.
The most useful thing on my desk is my pile of scrap paper, it’s somehow less stressful for me to jot down random information and notes on scrap paper rather than a nice pristine legal pad / notebook.
I have wrist-rests in the shape of bread rolls. Very useful and highly ridiculous – everyone asks if they are real bread. Sadly they need replacing because they are well worn and have lost their faces
I have a paperweight that says “If you’re going through hell, keep going.” Most useful both because I always have an enormous stack of papers on my desk and because it inspires me to keep on keeping on!
My letter opener!
Stack of index cards
Pens. Glorious pens. Especially the erasable FriXion ones.
