    I got a little pink ceramic pot in the $3 area of Target that is just the right size to keep track of my favorite pens, a small scissor, a couple stylus and my glasses.

    I have one of those magazine holders on my desk. It started out white but I spray painted it pink. The best part though is that it’s metal so I can stick magnets on it. It’s covered with swag.

    it’s a very simple but cheap thing and actually, it’s something that I won from an author giveaway but I use it every day! It’s a safety letter opener. Cheap plastic but sooo handy! Thanks for sharing!

    I bought this giant gold bulldog tape holder. Everyone now calls him tape dog but no matter what the tape dispenser never gets broken and we always know where it is.

    Definitely my notebook! It’s small enough that I can take it with me everywhere I go. I can take notes, write scenes, ignore the people around me on the subway…it’s the perfect tool for work AND play.

    The old DVD spindle that I use as a mic stand. It was free, does exactly what I need it to do and somehow looks pretty neat.

    My head set. I spend A LOT of time on hold. I finally convinced a boss that I could do so much more if I didn’t have to hold the hand set between my ear and shoulder while trying to accomplish something other than staring at the wall. I used to spend 40 minutes thinking about everything I could accomplish if I could reach the copier, or use both hands to type.

    I have a pretty basket from Target where I place unpaid bills, return address labels, and stamps. I also place anything that I don’t want to lose, such as unused gift cards, in this basket. It’s cut down on fruitless searching for important smallish paper items.
