To celebrate Nalini Singh’s fifteenth (whoa!) book in her Psy-Changeling series, Allegiance of Honor, we have some advanced reader copies to give away!

Allegiance of Honor is what Nalini called in an October 2015 blog post her “ensemble cast book where everyone comes back.” I know a lot of readers are anticipating this one! Here’s the cover copy:

A staggering transformation has put the Psy, humans, and changelings at a crossroads. The Trinity Accord promises a new era of cooperation between disparate races and groups. It is a beacon of hope held together by many hands: old enemies, new allies, wary loners.

But a century of distrust and suspicion can’t be so easily forgotten, and it threatens to shatter Trinity from within at any moment. As rival members vie for dominance, chaos and evil gather in the shadows and a kidnapped woman’s cry for help washes up in San Francisco, while the Consortium turns its murderous gaze toward a child who is the embodiment of change, of love, of piercing hope: a child who is both Psy…and changeling.

To find the lost and protect the vulnerable—and to save Trinity—no one can stand alone. This is a time of loyalty across divisions, of bonds woven into the heart and the soul, of heroes known and unknown standing back to back and holding the line. But is an allegiance of honor even possible with traitors lurking in their midst?

  1. Diane says:

The first book in the series drew me in, but the second book is my favorite, because it caused me to binge on all the rest!

  2. Ellie says:

My favourite character is Vaughn from Visions of Heat and for favourite books it’s a tie between Caressed by Ice and Branded by Fire (I seem to go for opposites here 🙂 I absolutely love the whole series so much!

  3. Ailsa says:

My favourite book so far… tough choice, but it’s either Branded By Fire or Kiss Of Snow. I love the pairings in those books, and their fight to get to a happily-ever-after, so much.

  4. library addict says:

It is truly impossible to pick a single favorite character or book. I do have favorites in this series, but they number more than one.

So einey, meaney, miney, moe…Heart of Obsidian.

(posting before I change my mind multiple times – lol)

  5. Jenn says:

I love ALL of the Psy-Changelings books, but when I read Judd and Brenna’s book, I knew the series would end up on my top favorite series list. That being said, Kaleb is just as great XD I seem to have a thing for Psy heroes…

  6. Phyllis says:

The first one got me in. I do love Mercy’s book, though. Do I have chose only one???

  7. Mikaela says:

You want me to pick?! geez. I think my favorite is Heart of Obsidian. Or…Maybe… *hits post before I can change my mind*

  8. My favorite book in the series so far? All of them! Seriously, there is no way to pick just one favorite book or one favorite character or couple.

Though I must say, the novella about Bastien and Kirby—Secrets at Midnight—is pure, distilled down warm fuzzies. *happy sigh*

  9. Susan says:

My fave is still Caressed by Ice.

  10. My favorites so far are Caressed by Ice and Heart of Obsidian – Jed/Brenna and Kaleb/Sahara all the way! But I love the whole series SO MUCH.

  11. Lauren says:

Fave would HAVE to be Heart of Obsidian. I have reread it so many times. The way Sahara humanises the scariest guy in the room and reclaims herself is just the best! But Caressed by Ice comes a near second, and far too many to list vie for third

  12. Sel says:

Tangle of Need, because it’s about a choice, not destiny.

  13. Janina K. says:

My favorite book so far is Kiss of Snow. I absolutely adore Sienna and Hawke. Can’t wait to see everyone again.

  14. Nanik says:

My favorite book so far is “Heart of Obsidian” and favorite character… Hard to choose… I would say Kaleb. Or maybe Judd? No, let’s stay by Kaleb.

  15. delta888 says:

Hard to choose but I’ll go with Heart of Obsidian and Kaleb. (caressed by ice and Judd are a close second, but I love the whole series)

  16. L says:

It is a great series but Indid love Kiss of Snow.

  17. SandyH says:

Slave to Sensation is my favorite since it was so different and started me on the whole series. I always look forward to the next book.

  18. Holly says:

My favourite book is Visions of Heat. Kiss of Snow is a close second. Looking forward to catching up with the characters.

  19. Jen G. says:

Heart of Obsidian. I love all the books in the series, but that one stood out. Favorite character? That’s harder. Maybe Sascha, because she brought me into the series.

  20. SusanK says:

Lucas and Sascha are still my favorites so I would say Slave to Sensation. Can’t wait for the new book!

  21. Sarah L. says:

Aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh. I was just flailing on Tumblr about this series with someone I follow who had won an ARC, and she asked me who my favorites were. Picking makes me feel like someone asked to pick a favorite child, but if pushed, I’d probably have to say either Max and Sophia or Caleb and Sahara. But I also love Brenna and Judd and Drew and Indigo and the Hawke and Sienna story broke my heart and…

    You see my problem?

  22. Kelsey says:

That is a hard question because I love them all but, Kaleb and Lucas have to be my favorite characters from the series.

  23. Ginni says:

Branded by Fire. No, Kiss of Snow. No wait, Caressed by Ice. Nah, gotta be Mercy and Riley in Branded by Fire. I have the entire series on DVD and listen to them in the car. Mitigates my road rage significantly. Although if the windows are down and the light is red, I might get some side glances.

  24. Natasha says:

My favourite changes based on the mood I’m in. Right now it’s Heart of Obsidian. Love Kaleb!

  25. Karen H says:

I like the first one – Slave to Sensation.

  26. Three-way tie (and wouldn’t I like to be in the middle!) for favorite character–Judd, Hawke, and Kaleb. Favorite book? Probably HEART OF OBSIDIAN. But they all deserve mention. I borrowed the books from the library, finally had enough in the book budget to start buying them–digital and audio. Soon, my pretties! Soon I’ll have all of them and can do another massive back-to-back reread right before ALLEGIANCE OF HONOR releases. CAN. NOT. WAIT!

  27. E says:

Heart of Obsidian, no contest. I was waiting for Kaleb’s story, and after I finished it, I almost turned right back to the beginning and reread it.

  28. Katy L says:

Geez, do you ask people to pick their favorite kids, too? If I had to choose (and obviously I do, because ARC!) I’d say it’s a toss-up between Shield of Winter and Heart of Obsidian. But really, they’re all good. Although, I have to admit, I’m dying to hear how the pupcubs come out (no pun intended).

  29. Chaitali says:

So hard to choose but I think I have to go with Heart of Obsidian.

  30. sara darling says:

Huh. I did not expect to be the first to say “Shards of Hope.”

  31. Merrian says:

My favourites are Brenna and Judd in Caressed by Ice. It’s a story of two people who have to go beyond everything they’ve known about themselves to find happiness and hope

  32. Erin says:

Mmm has to be a tie between Heart of Obsidian/Kaleb and Shield of Winter/Vasic.

  33. cin says:

Branded by Fire or Play of Passion. For some reason, I especially love the changling/changling couples….

  34. Margaret says:

I think Heart of Obsidian is the best book so far, but that last few have all been amazing.

  35. Maered says:

This series has a high standard but my personal favourite has to be Heart of Obsidian. After the long wait for this hero, Nalini did not let down her fans. It was just amazing.

  36. Cate says:

I adore Dorian & Ashaya in Hostage to Pleasure, but .. Who am I trying to kid ? N.S hasn’t written a Psy Changeling book I didn’t love !

  37. Erica says:

Heart of Obsidian was my ABSOLUTE favorite. I was dying for that book for ages. *dreamy sigh* SO good. Although, Hawke and Siena were a good couple too. But HoO was THE BEST. Judd and Brenna. Ooooh, Judd and Brenna… THERE ARE TOO MANY GOOD ONES, DARN IT. *ahem* But I still maintain that HoO was the best. The end. 🙂

  38. Kat says:

The entire series is fantastic and I can’t choose just one as a favorite. I’m going with Kaleb as my favorite. I find his character fascinating. He shows so much restraint with what he can do. Vasic is another character that fascinates me. Now I need to reread the series. Again. We won’t talk about how many times I’ve read them, but pretty much every time a new book comes out, I read the whole series again.

  39. Casey says:

For the longest time,Lucas was my favorite. But then I read Kaleb’she story and gaaaah. *inhuman screeching* Honesty, thought, if I start to think about any hero for more than five minutes, he becomes my favorite. I’m easy like that.

  40. Lizzie R says:

Caressed by Ice but any book which has some Judd in it because Judd is my boyfriend. To this day I’m still suprised I enjoyed Bonds of Justice (Sophia and Max) so much because that’s the only book with absolutely no Judd in it at all.
