This HaBO request is from Karina, who is searching for a historical romance:
What I remember of the book is the heroine’s friend dies and she goes to see her late friend’s husband to become the nanny of their child. The heroine and her late friend’s husband end up having an affair and as time passed, they fall in love and marry. I remember it being a historical romance.
I do remember when she gets to the manor her late friend’s husband tries to throw her out, but she doesn’t leave and shows him a letter from the friend who died. The hero is titled, but unfortunately I can’t remember much about it except flashes here and there. I also read it around the early 2000s, but the book might be older then that.
Does this ring any bells for anyone?

Damn. That sounds familiar. But, not one of my regular historical authors. Let me do some digging around the memory banks.
OH MY GOD I READ THIS. I read this in the past five years. I have no idea if it was an ebook or hardcopy or anything else BUT I READ THIS.
The book is Courting Susannah by Linda Lail Miller.

I like her historicaRrls.
I knew I should have answered this on my computer. I also should have proofread! Also, the hero wasn’t titled but very very very rich.
I hate to say it, but this sounds very much like a contemporary romance by Susan Elizabeth Phillips. parents go off the road at a bad place. His brother, a professional golfer on a losing streak gets custody and is fought on this by the wife’s BF. She moves into the house with the six, I think kids. Then they all fo RVing on the pro golf circuit. Uncle and the woman fall in love and due to her love, he ends his losing streak. Forget the name, though.
No, I think that it’s by Katherine Kingsley, The Sound of Snow http://www.amazon.com/Sound-Snow-Katherine-Kingsley-ebook/dp/B00FOU2XOC/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1461727537&sr=8-9&keywords=katherine+kingsley+books
I guess the settings would since they’re vastly different, lol The one I posted is set in Seattle at the turn of the 20th century. The big fire happens during the story.
I did one with the Georgians and gods earlier this year. War Chest, it was called. A kind of Jane Eyre with Mars the god of war thing. She comes as a nanny to take care of her sister’s children. Honestly, there are a lot of stories with that theme.
