That is the Kate Spade Clement Street Blair bag in straw. It’s 11.7” tall by 12.5” wide, and 5.5” in diameter. The handle drop (this is a crucial number for me when handbag shopping – it’s the distance between the top of the handle and the top edge of the bag) is 9”. You can easily carry this bag over your shoulder. It has two interior pockets and a wide bottom so it’ll stand up on its own.

I would carry my new tote full of books from room to room. I babysit my adorable grandbaby, but even she can’t be cute every minute of the day. So, I always need to travel to new locations with new men… I’m not a slut, but I do like to pretend I am.
Onto the patio and under the lilacs, with a beer, on a lovely spring/summer day.
Already, there are so many lovely suggestions. Mine isn’t, just realistic.
I would carry that bag straight into my house and sit it atop my bed instead of my second set of pillows. Where I will be recovering from (invasive) surgery. Thanks, Endo!

In my fantasies, French, California, and New England beaches….Texas in summertime is brutal. In reality, I’d take it to bookstores, lunch, dinner, shopping, errands, work, etc. 🙂
This looks like a perfect bag for a picnic. But I would actually end up using it to carry all my reading accoutrements (water, snacks, alternate book, pillow, hat, throw, sunblock, cell phone) out to my deck chair for a lazy afternoon read…

This summer will be the first time we’ve ever taken our kids on a real vacation- we’re going to the beach with family. I’d love to take advantage of free family babysitting to sit on the sand and read!

We have an epic college visit “vacation” for our middle child this summer going down the East Coast and hitting major universities/colleges he thinks he wants to attend. This bag of books would be a mom’s dream. 🙂

I wouldn’t go far. A couple of years ago we added a screened-in porch to our house. So when it gets a little warmer I would take the tote out there and sit in my favorite lounger and read.

To the beach house that my sister’s in-laws kindly loan me every once in a while. Fantastic view, and the best place to sit and read for hours.

I’d be hauling these with me on mom-duty, court/field-side, and so on! How cute!
I would carry this tote to the beach at Destin, FL and read while my husband watches the kiddo. I would carry it poolside in Vegas, or bathtub-side at home, or anywhere I go that needs more books (so, everywhere!)
I would bring the bag with me everywhere in New York this summer. I’d be covered commuting and for any “I wish I had a book right now” situation.
Free ebooks? If I wasn’t at work I’d be hyperventilating right now! (I am in my head, anyway).
I’d carry that bag and all the books to and from work, to read during my commute. I’d be all in on the train! And anything left over would be for reading sprawled on the couch while my kids nap/sleep/play together so Mama can read!

My favorite spot in the world is a tiny park along a tidal river on the Connecticut shoreline. I’d pack a couple of books and a special lunch (including wine, of course) in that gorgeous tote and spend the afternoon reading, snacking, and dreaming.
I’d carry my bag with me on the weekend – to the beach or to the city depending on the plan. My perfect place to read is outside, especially in a location with the right balance of shade and sun.

As a life long reader and admitted handbag addict, I can say with some authority that a cute tote filled with books goes anywhere and everywhere.
I would either take the bag to work or be like Rory Gilmore and take it on a date (because that bag is so darn cute, and she takes a book with her wherever she goes.

I would carry my bag over to the “secret garden” that’s down the street from me – it’s a gated garden with a fountain and flowers and lots of great benches for reading on a summer day! 🙂
