RECOMMENDED: The Professional by Kresley Cole is $1.99 and the first in her Game Maker erotic romance series! Which is somewhat of a big deal since her books are rarely discounted. I read this book and gave it a B-, but your enjoyment of it probably hinges on how committed you are to the crazyness of it. The second book, The Master, is also on sale, but I did not enjoy that one nearly as much. Be warned that the characters are tied to organized crime, which I know is off-putting to some readers.

Close to Heart by TJ Kline is 99c! This book also has a 3.9-star average, though readers caution that there is a lot that happens in the first chapter, and some belief suspension may require additional scaffolding. That said, readers who liked the earlier books said they’d been waiting for the hero’s story, and this one measured up to their expectations. You can also pick up the all the current books in the series (5 books!) for less than $8!

No Better Man by Sara Richardson is $1.99! The first book in the contemporary romance Heart of the Rockies series, this is a small town romance with a bit of enemies to lovers thrown in. Readers mention the book is a rather light on the angst, which is something you either prefer in your romances or would rather go without. It has a 4.1-star rating on Goodreads.

Losing It

Losing It by Cora Carmack is $2.99. Readers who enjoyed it really liked how charming and funny it was, especially the dialogue. Case in point: one of the most highlighted sections is:
“Is this the part where you tell me you’re a vampire?”
He chuckled. “No, I promise the paleness is only because I’m British.”
However, some felt the characters lacked development. Have you read this one?
