Frisk Me
RECOMMENDED: Frisk Me by Lauren Layne is 99c! I reviewed this book last year and I obviously enjoyed it, seeing as how I gave it an A grade:
I really loved this book. It’s a nice break from the insta-love/lust that I’ve been reading lately, and I appreciated that the romance was the payoff of the book, rather than it being the driving force to deal with outside, external issues. This is a slow romance, too. No wham, bam, thank you ma’ams here. And admittedly, I spent a good portion of the book grinning like an idiot on the subway. I’ll give it to Layne; she can write some great dialogue.
Officer Luc Moretti had no idea that his dive into the East River would have him drowning in a media frenzy. No matter how many times he tells reporters he was just doing his job, they’re determined to make him into NYC’s newest hero. Coming from a long line of NYPD’s finest, Luc knows that being a cop has nothing to do with headlines and viral videos, and he’s more than ready to get back to life away from the cameras-until he meets the gorgeous but jaded journalist assigned to film a TV special on him . . .
Ava Sims may be the only woman in NYC who isn’t in love with Officer Moretti. That’s why she’s going after the real story-to find out about the man behind the badge. Ava’s determined to keep things strictly professional, but the more time she spends around Luc, even she has to admit there’s something about a man in uniform . . . and she can’t wait to get him out of his.

Looking for Trouble
Looking for Trouble by Victoria Dahl is $1.99! This is the first book in her Jackson: Girls’ Night Out contemporary romance series. One thing that either readers loved or hated was the fact that the hero enter into a D/s relationship in the bedroom, so readers who aren’t into that sort of thing found the sex scenes a bit jarring. Have you read this one?
A good reason to be bad…
Librarian Sophie Heyer has walked the straight and narrow her entire life to make up for her mother’s mistakes. But in tiny Jackson Hole, Wyoming, juicy gossip doesn’t just fade away. Falling hard for the sexiest biker who’s ever ridden into town would undo everything she’s worked for. And to add insult to injury, the alluring stranger is none other than Alex Bishop–the son of the man Sophie’s mother abandoned her family for. He may be temptation on wheels, but Sophie’s not looking for trouble!
Maybe Sophie’s buttoned-up facade fools some, but Alex knows a naughty smile when he sees one. Despite their parents’ checkered pasts, he’s willing to take some risks to find out the truth about the town librarian. He figures a little fling might be just the ticket to get his mind off his own family drama. But what he finds underneath Sophie’s prim demeanor might change his world in ways he never expected.

Made for Us
Made for Us by Samantha Chase is $2.51 at Amazon and Google:Play and $2.99 elsewhere! This is a contemporary romance with a homebuilding hero and an interior designer heroine. The description also alludes to a stranded plotline on account of an incoming hurricane. Readers really loved the hero and his brothers, but found the chemistry in the romance lacking. It has a 3.9-star rating on Goodreads.
Can’t make time for love?
The Shaughnessy brothers have spent the years since their mother’s untimely death taking care of each other and trying to make their father proud. Zoe Dalton, a stunning designer Aidan meets on one of his construction jobs, has the beauty and heart to make Aidan realize how much he could be missing. But it’s not easy to break down walls you’ve spent years building up. Now there’s a major storm bearing down on the North Carolina coast, and it could be catalyst enough to force Aidan and Zoe into some major decisions of the heart.Add to Goodreads To-Read List →

The Trouble with Texas Cowboys
The Trouble with Texas Cowboys is Carolyn Brownis $2.51 at Amazon and Google:Play and $2.99 elsewhere! The hero and heroine wind up working together (and living together) on the same ranch. While the description seems to hint toward a love quadrangle, readers assure that the feuding families pose more of a nuisance than actual competition to the hero and heroine. Anyone interested?
When Sawyer O’Donnell takes a ranch job on a whim, he lands smack dab in the middle of a Texas-sized feud! The Gallaghers and the Brennans are at each other’s throats to woo the red-headed spitfire, Jill Cleary, and stake a claim for the Fiddle Creek Ranch.
Jill makes Sawyer’s blood boil. They argue, they banter, but Sawyer soon goes from being driven crazy to crazy in love. Damned if he knows how that happened. But now that it has, how does he compete with two men that can give this cowgirl a lifestyle beyond her wildest dreams?
