You did it! We figured this one out! It is a truth universally acknowledged (by me for certain) that the Bitchery pretty much knows everything, and really, it's true. Scroll down to see the solution for this HaBO - and many thanks!

This HaBO is from Erica H., who is looking for a Harlequin title (possibly):
I am a reference librarian, so the fact that I can’t find/remember the title of this book is killing me. I remember reading it in high school and just loving the angst and brooding hero. It was a Harlequin (maybe Harlequin presents) from the mid to late 90s.
The main hero’s name was Jamie, and he was a martial arts expert. The heroine was a dancer. He was abused as a child, and was worried that he would be abusive as well (lots of angst here), so he avoided relationships. Some friends of his took him to see a dance performance and that’s how the hero and heroine met. I think he may have even teared up at her performance.
Does this sound familiar? You are my last resort. I am not even sure I would like this book as an adult, but I MUST reread it!
I’m a sucker for dancer-type characters, but I was just a babe in the nineties. Anyone know this one?

Sort of embarrassed to admit I know this one ’cause it’s really a hot mess of a book, but I’m pretty sure this is Pet Peeve by JJ Massa.
Nope, sorry, realized that’s not it.
This one I got from FictionDB sounds promising but the hero’s name isn’t Jamie.
ONE NIGHT STAND by Sandra Field
No commitments, no regrets
When she danced her heart out, Josephine Scott-Davies was nothing less than magic. And that magic drew Reed Corrigan to her like a moth to a flame. As a karate champion, Reed was a fighter, not a dancer, and he didn’t tiptoe around the issue–he wanted Jodie. He wanted no commitments, no regrets, just one night of exquisite passion.
One night wasn’t enough for Jodie. Loving her was a package deal–she came with tomorrows.
@Manda Collins- you may be right. This is the most promising lead I have had to date.
