My go to for relaxing is a good beer, my current crochet project, and either a podcast or audiobook. I will skip the audio if I’m with family for friends.

The perfect way to relax for me is an ice cold dt. coke, curled up in my chair in front of my computer with a warm blanket on my lap, e-reader in hand.

my over sized chair, my dog in my lap under a fuzzy blanket, my kindle and a cup of hot chocolate 🙂 I like the cold, cuz it gives me a good excuse to stay home and read and snuggle with my dog! thanks for sharing!

Best relaxing combo of all time is a overcast day (maybe a bit of rain), a pot of Lady Grey and a book while I’m curled up in my recliner near a window.

Rooibos, a hot bath, and a book.

  15. Katie Lynn says:

Either an audiobook or an ebook (on my laptop) while knitting miles of stockinette (usually the body of a sweater), while drinking my favorite winter cinnamon tea.

  16. Karen Lauterwasser says:

A hot beverage, a wonderful book, and the time to sit in my recliner and enjoy both. Sometimes I can knit while this is going on, if the project is straightforward enough (or the book is recorded…). That’s my idea of relaxing heaven!

  17. eti michaeli says:

I love curling up in my bed with a hot cup of coffee and a book for a couple of hours.
Nothing fancy, but since becoming a mom this has become a rare treat for me, and I savour each time stars line up in the sky to make it possible 🙂

  18. ReneeG says:

A book, a cup of tea (with a cute teapot containing more under a cozy), some old Jazz and my kitties getting comfy on the throw next to me. Pluses if the weather is rotten, so I don’t feel conflicted about not being out and about.

  19. Diana says:

Knitting, music, a cup of hot tea, and a good book. 🙂

  20. Hawktuary'sWife says:

Hiding in the guest room with my two doggies, some hot tea, and a good book

  21. Kelly says:

Wow, this pretty much hits all my buttons. I have three passions in life: tea, knitting, and books. To facilitate doing all three at once, I am a huge audiobook fan. There is nothing more relaxing on this planet than knitting a pair of socks while drinking tea and listening to a good romance novel. Add some cheese for a snack, and you’ve pretty much got the best time ever.

  22. Dominika says:

If I’m in the mood to be a total vegetable a Netflix binge is my go-to. But I also like to sew the elastic on my finger cymbals or work on a coin bra (I belly dance) while listening to the eclectic music selection on my iPod. I especially like Balkan brass bands, middle eastern drum rhythms, and Warsaw Village Band. Oh, and my kindle is my relaxation time bestie.

  23. Kimber Alexander says:

I love knitting, and I love reading! When my kids get a little older, I’d like to work on being able to do those things simultaneously!!!

  24. margaret says:

reading & hot mug of tea!

  25. Meredith says:

Mine is reading after the kids & my husband are asleep. Ah, sweet sweet quiet!

  26. genie says:

Strong black tea, with milk and sugar, if it’s before 4 pm, and an excellent craft brew if it’s later on. A comforting movie playing in the background, like Pride and Prejudice, or maybe Winter Soldier. A good book, or maybe some easy knitting that I don’t have to think too hard about. No matter what, my kitty’s got to be curled up next to me, giving me the side eye when I move.

  27. Susan says:

    Tea, Kindle, bed, cat, quiet.

  28. Laurie says:

I love listening to my music while reading a book and a hot cup of tea with my puppies at my feet. In the winter just add a fire to that with a cup of coffee with Irish Cream. Pure heaven.

  29. Janiec says:

Under a blanket on the couch watching TV or reading.

  30. Jenny says:

Knitting and mindless television is the perfect way to end the day!

  31. Erica L says:

Crocheting and black tea is super relaxing when it’s cold and snowy outside

  32. LB says:

The MOST relaxing thing is probably reading in the bath, but I do like to crochet and I do like to drink tea too. I’ve never tried doing those in the bath though.

  33. Stacy Hoff says:

Yea for including Diane Gabaldon’s Outlander! I’m more of a coffee person than a tea fan, although the tea pictured definitely looks goos enough to try.

My favorite relaxation technique – getting into my favorite sweats & my favorite chair with an awesome book. Something warm to drink for bonus points. 🙂

  34. Janet S says:

A book, a fire in the fireplace, rain outside, the kids visiting friends. Easy peasy.

  35. Jenny says:

Coffee with Bailey’s and a good book! Or a favorite movie.

  36. k8899 says:

Knitting, a sleeping kitty and something funny to watch.

  37. KP says:

Knitting, watching something on the TV and tea. Oh, don’t forget the cat to try and play with the yarn!

  38. Melanie says:

A book, a cup of tea (sugar, no milk,) my armchair and my cat.

  39. I knit. I drink tea. I do both at the same time. I knit and drink wine at the same time. If I could figure out how to read while knitting and drinking either beverage… well, that’s a work in progress.

    That is just gorgeous yarn.

  40. Amanda says:

Listening to an audiobook and knitting while nursing baby (when my older little one is occupied with books, movies, or toys) has been my favorite way to catch some time to myself during the middle of a busy day. After the kids go to bed, you say? Please! I’m snoring away, having passed out to the dulcet sounds of my same audiobook. 🙂
