As with many others, I’ve discovered countless books through this site! I think the most recent was Act Like It by Lucy Parker, which I’ve quite enjoyed. Keep up the good work!
I discovered Sarina Bowen’s Understatement of the Year, which was one of my favorite books of 2015. That whole series is wonderful!
Without a doubt, it would be Tessa Dare’s A Week To Be Wicked. It is my favorite Tessa Dare book, and I’ve reread it a few times. It has some truly hilarious parts in it. Tallyho!
I’ve discovered so many books here. SB Sarah, we have a similar taste in books, so if you like something (even if it’s not in my typical genre), I know I’ll most likely enjoy it!
I discovered Sherry Thomas’ books through your reviews and for that I will be forever grateful! “Private Arrangements” is still one of my all-time favorites.
Not a single book, but an author for me: Courtney Milan. Several years ago you were talking about her with great frequency and I ended up purchasing her Turner series and pretty much everything she’s published since.
I’ve discovered tons of books here and from the podcast. I’ve just finished Nice Dragons Finish Last and adored it.
I’m still so glad that I discovered Kate Noble through here! Summer of You is one of my favorite books ever, and it is one of the books I re-read when I am sad or stuck in a reading rut!
I discovered Ilona Andrews because of your podcast (that counts, right?) and then became a rabid fan girl of theirs. I have since read all of their books, I follow their site and social media and just love them. So thank you for speaking to her.
The Fast Track series by Erin McCarthy. I’m a racing fan to begin with, so finding a series of books in one of my favorite genres about one of my favorite sports was a real bonus.
WOW. There are too many books I’ve checked out because of SBTB…I think one of the more recent ones I recall is *This Crumbling Pageant*– I definitely read it very very fast and promptly recommended it to friends.

Wow. There is no way to just list one. I discovered Courtney Milan, Sarah MacLean and Rose Lerner, among others. Smart B*tches are very dangerous to my nook, because it has exploded with romance-y goodness, thanks to you. I also found many Jewish/Hanukkah romances here, thanks to Sarah W. Thank you, thank you and I hope you had a fabulous Hanukkah!
The Lord John Grey series by Diana Gabaldon. It wasn’t until I was re-reading some of her later books in the Outlander series that I realized that characters were using information that she’d never mentioned earlier. It turns out that she had written a separate series about Lord John, who just happens to be my favorite character since I discovered Miss Clack in Wilkie Collins’ “The Moonstone.” It was a great week.
Ruthie Knox, Ride with Me! Got me to buy all her books.
Hey ladies! So while reading the review for the last of the Rules of Scoundrels by Sarah MacLean, I thought, “Okay fine, I’ll read those” because that last one has lady-as-man crossdressing which is one of my weird faaavorite things (thanks, Shakespeare), so I went back and read the first one (A Rogue by Any Other Name) and loved it, and happily spent the whole time wondering “WHICH ONE IS IT?! OMG I CAN’T WAIT!” So… thanks. š
(I just realized that I listed a book that wasn’t recommended here, but should have been!) I enjoyed “The Duchess War” by Courtney Milan if only for the way she’s able to draw out the angst in the second half of the book. I may or may not have read the entire thing in less than 4 hours.
Sarah Mayberry
I discovered Ilona Andrews here and now Iām eagerly awaiting the sequel to āBurn For Meā. SO MUCH FUN!
I’ve been looking at Kristen Callahan’s books for a while now and I just hadn’t picked them up. You convinced me to start the Game On series. Now I just have to find the time to actually read it. Sigh. The holidays are a killer on my love of reading.
A list of books and authors that is now my new TBR. Love your site and podcast. You have created a great place for romance readers to realize they are not alone.
Helped introduce me to the entire Maiden Lane series by Elizabeth Hoyt! Thank you!
Cullinan/Sexton’s FAMILY MAN and Tessa Dare’s ROMANCING THE DUKE
One book that I found here that I absolutely loved (I’ve read it at least 4 times since getting it) is “Fangirl” by Rainbow Rowell. The ebook was on sale once, and you hustled through a review since it was on sale, and I gave it a chance. It is just so good! I even got a special edition copy of it when that came out.
So definitely thanks for that. š
To be honest I usually see the reviews for books I already have on my radar and snap up books from your newsletter! BUT I thoroughly enjoy (dare I say love?) the reviews you post of books that are terrible (intentional or otherwise) such as the dino and holiday cup porn. lol Keep being sassy and making me laugh. Happy Hanukkah!
Oh man, I have been introduced to so many books and authors because of this site! Most recently, it was Poison Study. I devoured that book!
CarrieS wrote about SAGA by Brian K. Vaughan and now I own all the compiled editions, in print and hard cover, which never happens these days. There are many books I’ve learned about and loved here, but that’s a big one. Thank you!
Susanna Kearsley! Lauren Willig! My latest favorite: Jennifer McQuiston!!!
There are way too many to name! The Ancillary series is a particular favorite of mine though…
The Siren by Tiffany Reisz
I troll this site constantly and have spent sooooo much on books I’ve heard about here. Now many discoveries are on auto buy. I shout out to you Courtney Milan, Sarah Maclean, Julie Anne Long and Tessa Dare! I’ve even bought crap books. Remember Book Rant 2012 about Captive Passions by Fern Michaels? I paid hard cash for it on Alibris books site because of this website. This site is perfect for my needs and directs my hard earned dollars to the right places. Yeah!
Most recently, I read Kristin Callihan’s The Friend Zone after reading a review here. It was awesome!
I discovered Susan Wiggs and fell in love with her romances and family sagas. Can’t wait to explore more of the books you recommend.
Oh man. I have found SO MANY books through you guys. Most recently Jen Frederick, so thank you!!
At this moment, there are 194 comments, and I could, all by myself, list an additional 194 books that I discovered here and loved. But I will just mention Rose Lerner’s Sweet Disorder.
THANK YOU, to SARAH and your SB Team!
Romancing Mr. Bridgerton, which my sister had been trying to get me to read forever, but you pushed me over edge.
A Bollywood Affair is the first one that comes to mind!
Just one? Uff da.
A Week to Be Wicked and Romancing the Duke by Tessa Dare, Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell, all the Courtney Milan you can shake a stick at, A Bollywood Affair by Sonali Dev, Beverly Jenkins in general and Indigo in particular, and I could keep going, but I think you get the idea. This site has been damn good for the helping me find stuff to read.
Anna Richland’s His Road Home!
KA Mitchell books! Love her stuff!
