Oh crikey – discovering this site just a couple months ago has had a major impact on my book budget since then. Tessa Dare’s “A Scot Ties the Knot” was the first (lobsters!), followed most recently by immediate re-reads of “Act Like It.”

I especially love your BOOKS ON SALE column now, because, as it turns out, books provide no physical nutritive value when consumed, and neither the grocery store nor the landlord will allow payment in pithy quotations. Even about lobsters.

  2. Jan says:

Mary Balogh. I am down to the last few of her older books, and with a few exceptions, was sad to see them end.

  3. Tina S. says:

I’ve added MANY an author as a result of this website–what I really appreciate most is you keeping me apprised of new releases so I don’t miss out. One author I found here isKresley Cole, specifically her “Game Makers” series. I wasn’t a fan of her “Immortals After Dark” series, but after you reviewed “The Master,” I one-clicked that beesh and never looked back. As always thanks for the fabulous giveaways! Happy Hanukkah.

You introduced me to sooo many good books and authors! I’ve purchased quite a few books based off your reviews and recommendations I don’t even like to think how deep my TBR pile has grown because I’ll read the suggested title and then have to get an authors entire backlist. Thank you for the many hours of enjoyment you have provided from those recommendations and from your very entertaining and informative site!

  5. Rebekah says:

I am going to go with Laura Florand’s Amour et Chocolat series, because a few years ago I won a copy of The Chocolate Kiss on this site and she is now one of my auto-buys and all time favorite authors. 23. MD says:

Courtney Milan. I don’t remember the first one that got recommended here, but it was certainly through SBTB recommendations that I tried “Unveiled”. I have read them all since, and enjoyed them very much – and SBTB have reviewed them all highly, too.

  24. Robyn says:

    Act Like It – insta-fave!!!

  25. L Marie says:

I can’t even pick one. Most of my now to me books and authors are found here.

  32. Tina Z says:

There are so many books I’ve bought because of my bitches. I’m gonna have to say Lord Of The Scoundrels like 90% of the commenters. It’s just so freakin’ funny. I remember reading it, laughing, and saying to myself, “I haven’t read something this great in so long”. From buying the naughty watch to the steeds of death to happily ever after complete with a bastard brat, Dain and Jess were awesome. Now I’m off to load samples of the recommendations from the commenters on my paperwhite. *please ignore any grammar mistakes; I may be drunk.

  33. Lynn says:

I don’t know where to start! You ladies have introduced me to SO many fantastic books! The Suffragette Scandal by Courtney Milan! Really, all her books. Her addictive, wonderful books. The Hook Up (and The Game Plan, oh my God, anything and everything by Kristen Callihan)! The Iron Duke by Meljean Brook, and the whole Novels of the Iron Sea series. Lauren Layne’s Stiletto series. Ride With Me by Ruthie Knox. Thank you for everything you do! Have a wonderful rest of your Hannukah!

  34. Amanda G. says:

Thanks to this site I discovered so many wonderful books and authors, but Loretta Chase and Sherry Thomas are definitely at the top of the list.

  35. kkw says:

Most recently, tried and loved Act Like it by Lucy Parker. I’ve found so many great books from the reviews and recommendations here.
I also use the reviews to find books for my MiL, who has overlapping but different tastes, and she recently adored a Linda Castillo book I read about in a review quite a while ago. I try to get her 8 new to her authors’ books for Hanukkah each year, and thanks to the smart bitches it has been a huge success.

  36. SeventhWave says:

Almost a Scandal, by Elizabeth Essex – wow, wow! You guys talked about it here and in a podcast, and I resisted for a few months; but once I picked it up I was off on an Essex binge! I finished that series a month ago and I’m already considering picking it up for a re-read.
There have been others – dozens of others – but this is the most recent and thus the most memorable.
THANK YOU for SBTB and for all that each of you do for your readers!

  37. Lobo says:

There were too many to list, but most memorable: Naomi Novik, Lauren Willig and The Rosie Project

  38. Farah says:

I discovered Tessa Dare from this site. Specifically A Week to be Wicked, which I loved, and then went on to read the restof her books.

  39. Sarah S. says:

The Maiden Lane series. Elyse’s review cracked me up and I thought I’d give it a try–been hooked ever since.

  40. Lina says:

I have followed the site since 2011. I will always love it for introducing me to Lord of Scoundrels… by Loretta Chase. Not to mention too many others on my credit card and tbr pile. 🙂
