The Rogue Not Taken

You might have seen Elyse’s very joyful review of the upcoming Sarah MacLean novel, The Rogue Not Taken today:

Let me start by saying that The Rogue Not Taken by Sarah MacLean is my favorite book of hers to date. If you’ve read her, or know me, then you know that I just said a thing.

I mean, there is a scene in this book where the hero sensually rubs honey on the heroine’s body while she dreamily describes the bookstore she’ll own one day.

Damn.

Usually we run reviews on or after release date so that if you think to yourself, I want to read that NOW, you can go and buy it.

However, The Rogue Not Taken doesn’t come out until 29 December, which may have led you to think, WTF Bitches?! Did you not hear me?! I want to read that NOW!

Fear not! We have a giveaway – an Early WORD Giveaway, in fact!

I have five bound manuscript copies of The Rogue Not Taken by Sarah MacLean to give away. This is so early, it’s a bound manuscript, not a galley. Cool, huh? Five SUPER EARLY style books!

WORD BrooklynPLUS! I have a grand prize, in addition to one of the five bound manuscripts: A $75 gift card to WORD Brooklynwhich is MacLean’s local independent bookstore and an enthusiastic supporter of the romance genre – which as we all know can sometimes be a challenge to find in indie-bookstore-land. WORD will ship if you’re not in Brooklyn, so if you win, you can order your books and they’ll have them delivered to you.

In fact, WORD is also taking pre-orders for The Rogue Not Taken, so if you’re totally taken with the book after you read it (I know, you saw what I did there), you could potentially order a copy as a gift for someone who would be equally taken with it. (Ok, I’ll stop.)

So, want to enter? Sure! Just leave a comment below and tell us, if you would be gifting Rogues hither and yon, to whom would you send a Rogue? And if you have no recipients suitable for Rogue gifting, please feel free to tell us what book you’d buy for yourself!

Standard disclaimers apply:  void where prohibited. I’m not being compensated for this giveaway. Open to residents of US and Canada (sorry, y’all!) where permitted by applicable law. Must be over 18 and prepared to read and shop and read some more to win. Your mileage may vary. Objects in mirror are closer than they appear, especially if you are farsighted. Whereas, upon participation in the contest as aforesaid, said participant shall nonetheless deliver hereunto all such paraphernalia as reasonably necessary and appropriate. Winners will be chosen by random integer on Friday, 13 November, and announced same day. Thank you to Avon for the prizes!

Good luck!

    The book? My college roommate.

An actual rogue? I could probably use one.

  9. Heather R says:

Ooo I’ve just recently stepped back into romance after a way too long hiatus. One of the first authors I’ve latched to is Sarah MacLean. I probably couldn’t get anyone to take a rogue…but I’d definitely look forward the opportunity to increase my own collection.

  10. LaineyT says:

Is it 2 for 1 Rogues? Cuz I could really use one myself and so cud a friend of mine. But I suppose not, I guess I’d give one to her and just live vicariously lol.

  11. mkthor says:

I would bequeath a rogue to my dear cousin who lives 3 hours away from me. Lately, we’ve been talking about forming a book club as an excuse to get together more often. This one sounds like a contender for our first book.

  12. Susan says:

I’m selfish. So I’d give a Rogue to my boyfriend. (Inspiration, anyone?) Then I’d give another Rogue to my friend Michael, so his fiance Ryan got a Christmas gift, too!

  13. Kay says:

I’d give a rogue to my sister for reasons (she knows what they are!).

  17. Vanessa says:

I would gift it to a family member. Thank you for the chance to win!

  18. Faith says:

So I would have to give it away? I don’t know that I could do that. Since I already have the ebook pre ordered I guess I could but my other MacLean books would be so lonely! 🙂 But if I had to I would send it off to my about to be married sister. It’s always good to start off with a little extra romance. (please she’ll send it back).

    looking forward to this!

  19. Cailin says:

I would give a copy of Rogue to my mother – she introduced me to historical romance!

  20. Lizzy says:

I would absolutely send a rogue to my best friend. He would need to be a very tall rogue and definitely a smart one behind all of his scruffy sexiness. And most importantly he needs to be a big squishy softy underneath his brazen manliness. Because I love my bestie he should also be well equipped with roguish bits and skilled in their application.

  21. Katie says:

I would send a rogue to my best friend in med school. She would definitely appreciate reading a book other than medical texts!

  22. Jane Eyre says:

I would gift a rogue to myself…Have been looking for a copy of No good irrestible viscount tipton by barbara pierce for a while now..

  31. Elizabeth R. says:

Oohhhh! I would gift this to my mother. It was her collection of romance novels that I first pillaged and peaked my interest in the genre. Additionally she is a huge fan of Sarah MacLean, and normally would wait for a copy to be available at her local library. This would be a huge treat for her (and obviously me!).

  35. Martha says:

I would give the copy to my friend, Marleigh. Her husband is posted to Budapest (Hungary) as a foreign service officer. She longs to read English language books (and romance is her preferred genre). So, I pass along the books that I have already read. Of course, this only works when I purchase books in print! (she smiles writing that)
