  • Scotsman of My Dreams

Scotsman of My Dreams by Karen Ranney

Scotsman of My Dreams by Karen Ranney is $1.99! This historical romance features an injured hero and a heroine who is supposed to be off limits to him. Readers loved the heroine and her badassery – she’s busting into the hero’s home and climbing garden walls. However, others said they just couldn’t seem to get into this one. Have you read it?

In New York Times bestselling author Karen Ranney’s second novel in her breathtaking series, an unconventional woman and a former scoundrel embark on a daring mission of desire

Once the ton’s most notorious rake, Dalton MacIain has returned from his expedition to America during the Civil War— wounded and a changed man. Instead of returning to his old haunts, he now spends his time at home. But Dalton’s peace is disturbed when Minerva Todd barges into his London townhouse, insisting he help search for her missing brother Neville. Though Dalton would love to spend more time with the bewitching beauty, he has no interest in finding Neville, whom he blames for his injury.

Minerva has never met a more infuriating man than the Earl of Rathsmere, yet she is intrigued by the torrid rumors she has heard about him . . . and the fierce attraction pulling her toward him.

Dalton does not count on Minerva’s persistence, or the desire she awakens in him, compelling him to discover her brother’s fate. But when danger surrounds them, Dalton fears he will lose the tantalizing, thoroughly unpredictable woman he has come to love.

  • Warrior of Ice

Warrior of Ice by Michelle Willingham

Warrior of Ice by Michelle Willingham is 99c! This is a Beauty & the Beast themed historical romance. Also, the dude on the cover reminds me of Joe Manganiello (probably don’t click on that if your boss is around). Readers thought the book was well-paced and many said they finished it in about a day. Though some found the constant miscommunication between the hero and heroine to be a little grating. It has a 4-star rating on Goodreads.

    Locked in a deadly game!

Physically and emotionally scarred, Lady Taryn knows no man would want her for a wife. Nonetheless, she’s determined to free her father from his merciless overlord and enlists powerful warrior Killian MacDubh to help.

He has his own motives for confronting the High King…

Born a bastard, Killian longs to carve out a place for himself. Unaware of her true beauty, Taryn is an alluring distraction to his plan, but as traitors are revealed and loyalties tested, their forbidden love becomes the only thing worth fighting for!

  • Not Quite a Wife

Not Quite a Wife by Mary Jo Putney

Not Quite a Wife by Mary Jo Putney is $1.99! This is a second chance romance and, judging by the description, the hero and heroine are technically married and now estranged. Someone correct me if I’m wrong! Some readers found the heroine a bit TSTL, while others love the reunited exes trope. Have any Bitchery members read this?

Marry in haste, repent at leisure.

James, Lord Kirkland, owns a shipping fleet, half a London gaming house, and is a ruthlessly effective spymaster. He is seldom self-indulgent…except when it comes to the gentle, indomitable beauty who was once his wife.

Laurel Herbert gave James her heart as an innocent young girl–until she saw him perform an act of shocking violence before her very eyes. That night she left her husband, and he let her go without a word of protest.

Now, ten years later, a chance encounter turns passionate, with consequences that cannot be ignored. But as they try to rebuild what was broken, they must face common enemies and a very uncommon love…

    Ugh.
Wanted to buy Warrior of Ice but it is $4.99 at ARe.
The big publishers always claim to want competition for Amazon but they rarely discount at booksellers like All Romance eBooks.
Actions speak much louder than words.

  4. “This is a Beauty & the Beast themed historical romance. Also, the dude on the cover reminds me of Joe Manganiello”

Well, shit. There’s the gender-flipped Beauty and the Beast adaptation I was asking about. Also, hellooooooo cheekbones.

  5. DonnaMarie says:

I’d stay definitely married in Not Quite a Wife, but more importantly, it smells like accidental baby trope. SOLD!

  8. Lindacbugg says:

OMG–Not Quite a Wife was so full of crazysauce and murders that I would only recommend it if you are OCD and have to read every book in a series. I honestly don’t know how I managed to finish it.
