Cover copy? But of course!
Seattle Sharks wide receiver Kyle Carlson needs to escape and Noel, Washington, is the perfect place for him to do it and figure out his next step. He likes the seclusion and predictability of the small townâŠuntil the biggest surprise of his life turns up in the local grocery store.
Sophie Hayes has her own reasons for disappearing without a trace and moving to Noel. This mountain town makes her feel safe for the first time in a long time. But her quiet routine is threatened when Kyle walks back into her life. Growing up in the same Florida town, she always had a little thing for the sexy football player. This tie to her old life, though, could mean she has to run again, even if her heart wants to stay.
When the reason she fled shows up in Noel, Kyle and Sophie, with a little extra help from his teammates, must decide to stay and fight for the life, and love, theyâve found together.
Julie wanted to host a giveaway that included some fun cookware, and copies of the book, and her suggestion for a grand prize made me want to put my credit card in the freezer so I wouldn’t be tempted. As Julie put it, “The heroine in my novella is obsessed with cookware, so to say she’d kill to get her hands on these would be an understatement. ;-)”
The grand prize? A set of four Le Creuset mini Cocottes with a cookbook!
AREN’T THEY ADORABLE?
From the product description:
Pretty little stoneware French/Dutch ovensâperfectly sized for single servingsâare made from enameled stoneware for even temperature distribution. They’re versatile, tooâgoing from freezer and microwave to oven and dishwasher with no trouble, and the glazed interior helps release food for quick cleanup. The serving ideas are limited only by your imagination, but if you’d like some suggestions, Le Creuset includes a tempting cookbook with a range of 25 mouthwatering recipes.
Yeah, I can think of several things I’d like to make using those cocottes. The grand prize winner will receive the set of four, plus a digital galley of Guarding Sophie. Plus, two runners up will also receive a digital galley of Guarding Sophie, too. Yay!
Standard disclaimers apply: void where prohibited. I’m not being compensated for this giveaway. Winners will be chosen on Friday, 16 October, and winners will be announced same day.

Happy fantasy cooking, and good luck!
ETA: We have a winner! Congratulations to Andrea D., who won the cocottes and a digital galley of Guarding Sophie. Our two runners up receive a digital galley of Guarding Sophie as well: boanderey and Kayli.
Congrats, and thank you to everyone who entered!

Four mini chocolate cakes. Maybe I would share with my partner if I was feeling generous đ
Oooooo I’d definitely make Mac and cheese in one and chocolate cake in another. And maybe attempt a chicken pot pie at some point, too. Desserts would also be making many appearances.
Beef Pot Pie
Rosemary red potatoes
Mini Cheesecake
Definitely french onion soup. And some kind of crumble with all the rhubarb I froze this summer.
Can’t quite tell how big they are, but definitely would cook something chocolate, and might try pot pies if they’re big enough. Thx!
I would make French Onion Soup or Peach/Apple Cobbler or Crisp. Yum.
I’d make steamed eggs (ttukbaegi gyeranjjim). They’re delicious, and I don’t have anything quite the right size for one.
What wouldn’t I make in little individual pots? I’d start with bread pudding, chicken or beef pot pies, beef stew, french onion soup and caramel flans.
Apple crisps, for sure! It’s not quite fall here in central Texas, but these little guys would at least make me feel more seasonal.
I am all about the cobbler game… so probably a couple of berry cobblers, a peach, & an apple
Oooooo! I’d cook my delicious white lasagna with butternut squash and sage
I make a delicious Mac N Cheese with homemade cheese sauce. And there is the Lobster Mac N Cheese–divine!
chicken pot pie
apple pie
shepherd’s pie
more pie
I’m entering for my Mom, and she said she’d make a pumpkin-beef stew (she’s had it before, cooked in these individual servings). She can have the La Crueset, and I’ll take the digital novella.
I would make my Grandmother’s custard….YUM đ
Thanks for hosting such a lovely giveaway for your readers/supporters!
I would love to make pot pies. And then probably all th desserts I could think of!
My kids are picky , so I’d be able to make something delicious for me and my husband and they could each have their individual bbq chicken.
But seeing people talking about individual chocolate lava cakes…. Probably that.
Oh lord, all the things. Individual pies…apple, pear, berry. My husband really wants me to make chicken pot pie, and these would be great for that.
Individual apple tarts is one possibility. Something with chocolate is another.
Off the top of my head:
1) Individual cheese soufflés
2) French Onion Soup
3) Individual chicken or vegetarian pot pies (depending on my mood)
4) Individual regular or vegetarian Shepherd’s Pie (again, depending on my mood)
5) Individual cherry pies
6) individual cherry crumbles.
Mini marble cakes for the win (bigger than cupcakes, so they will stay moist)! There are a lot of great ideas here, though – love shepherd’s pie, cobbler and crisps.
homemade mac-n-cheese
Mmm… Pretty much everything mentioned so far sounds yummy, but the first thing I’d make is French Onion Soup.
French onion soup and chocolate lava cake!
I’d cook spiced lentils with baked eggs on top. You make the spiced lentils, crack an egg on each one and then bake until the egg is as solid (or not) as you desire. âș
Apple crumble!
You mean I’m not supposed to just stoke them fondly like a new kitten?
Pot Pie would be first up I’m sure.
I’d start with potatoes au gratin!
Mini hot fudge cakes.
Pumpkin creme brûlée.
I would make the best French onion soup ever! It would include big pieces of caramelized onion, salty beef broth and uber-melty gruyere cheese along with big pieces of French bread. Yum!
I would definitely try individual souffles in these beautiful little dishes.
I would make individual vegetable pot pies! Small containers mean the best crust to filling ratio. Yumm.
The very first thing I would make would be food gifts for my wonderful In-Home Supportive Services homemaker who has made my life so much more manageable.
Then I would make is French Onion Soup which I have wanted to make the correct way since forever but never had any of those little pots.f
CAKE.
So many yummy things, but I think Dutch oven french toast for starters.
Creme brulee, always!!
I would make individual pot pies. They are so cute!
Oh! Those little cocottes are just gorgeous! (and perfect for a family of four) I think I’d probably make a fruit cobbler/apple crumble or pastry puff chicken pot pies. Then again, there’s something to be said for baked oatmeal topped with apples and cinnamon on a chilly day. Basically, I’d like to bake ALL THE THINGS. haha!
Dessert of some variety. Chocolate, preferably.
I would probably make apple cobbler.
