I really want to read Voracious by Cara Nicoletti–I heard the very end of an interview with the author, and went to check out her blog and thought it was fantastic. She pairs recipes with thoughts on books.
I’m also exquisitely anticipating The Immortal Heights, the finale to Sherry Thomas’ YA series, which comes out in a month. I’ve had it preordered since February. I plan to reread the first book two days before it comes out, the second the next day, and then be completely ready for it.
BUY ALL THE BOOKS! UMM…okay…just one? Sheesh….Sonali Dev’s new one is top of the list, but Libba Bray’s second book in her Diviner series (YA) is also calling to me…as is the rest of the Spindle Cove…and so many more…. 🙂
Please please please !!! I am waiting patiently ( ok not so patiently ) for Laurann Dohner’s newest New Species book ” Numbers “. This series is so good but so far between in releases. LOL .
Thank you for constructing the Palace and creating this fun, informational forum! The book I most want to read is the one I’m writing; what a joy it will be to give my bitches a copy when it’s done!
It’s a tie: The Bollywood Bride and the latest/last Terry Pratchett.
I have so many books I want to buy! I’m dying to start The Dresden Files. Thank you!
I can’t wait to get my hands on newest Cherie Priest!
And thank YOU for putting on such lovely contests!
Seanan McGuire’s new inCryptid book and a Toby book I don’t own yet; Jennifer Ashley’s new books coming out soon, and probably Gaelen Foley’s Paladin’s Prize. Or something else if it catches my eye. Who knows. 🙂 my wish list is very long!
I have a long list, but I guess I’d start with the new Shannon Stacey book. Thanks for the awesome contest!
I have always loved fairytales. Finding different versions, and retellings are always fun. They recently re-released the 1812 and 1815 editions of The Brothers Grimm It would be amazing to own.
The Original Folk and Fairy Tales of the Brothers Grimm:
The Complete First Edition Jacob & Wilhelm Grimm, Translated and edited by Jack Zipes Illustrated by Andrea Dezsö
Cocky Bastard
Barbarian Lover by Ruby Dixon, since the first two in this series made me laugh.
I’m looking forward to the new Bujold book!
I just discovered Shana Gallen, so her backlist is the top of my to-buy list. I just reviewed the first 2 books of her Covent Garden Cubs series and loved them. Kate Noble is also on my list. I managed to get my hands on 3 of her Blue Raven books, but I’m still trying for the other two books.
Up from the Grave by Jeaniene FRost. I’m on my second listening of the audio book versions from my library because they are just that good. I feel like I owe Jeaniene and Tavia some $$ for my entertainment after all this time.
Top of my list is a tie between “The Goblin Emperor,” and “Kamisama Kiss”…..
Cold Hearted Rake by Lisa Kleypas. Thank you for the giveaway!
There are so many books on my to buy list including The Bollywood Bride, Brown Eyed Girl, Dark Wild Night, Only a Kiss, The Red Queen, and Falling Into Bed with a Duke.
I just finished reading Jonathan L. Howard’s series from the library. Now I want to own them, so I can reread them whenever I want to! The first is called “The Necromancer.” Then I’ll buy the husband Christopher Moore’s new book, “Second-hand Souls.” But me first! ;-D
I would like to get Hyperbole and a Half: Unfortunate Situations, Flawed Coping Mechanisms, Mayhem, and Other Things That Happened.
The new Nalini Singh – Archangel’s Enigma
OOoohh, how exciting! My list is always way too long, but I think the FIRST thing I’d buy is Pioneer Girl … I’ve finally accepted that it needs too much time and attention for me to be content with checking it out from the library.
Would definitely save some of the balance for when Rainbow Rowell’s new book comes out, though!
Thanks for building such a welcoming and fun website/community.
I’m really in to the Fool’s Gold series right now so that’s what I’d buy first – my missing parts of the series.
Everything by Laura Florand I can get my hands on, Juliana Gray’s How To School Your Scoundrel, and How To Master Your Marquis, The Aftermath by R.J. Prescott, and (I’m stealing this from a previous comment) Courtney Milan’s new book when it comes out.
With all the amazing reviews of Tessa Dare around here, I was convinced to give her a try. In the last couple of weeks, I’ve been on a little bit of a binge. But I haven’t gotten to When a Scot Ties the Knot, so that’s the next one I’m after.
I love Fool’s Gold. Some of them made me weep. I love true, deep loyalty among women.
As for Tessa Dare. Go for it!
Definitely have my eye on the Shelly Laurenston stuff on pre order right now!
On the top of my to-buy list is Susan Elizabeth Phillips’ 8th book in her Chicago Stars series. Sure the book isn’t published, but when it eventually is, I’ll want it asap, which means a pricy hardcover.
Being Dead is No Excuse: The Southern Lady’s Guide to Hosting the Perfect Funeral is the book I would start with. Then I would need some Mary Balogh, some Virginia Kantra, some Jill Shalvis, some Shannon Butcher, etc., etc.
There are so many to pick from and what’s on top of my list varies with my mood. Today it’s “after you” by Jo Jo Moyes. Tomorrow it might be “Die Again” by Tess Gerritsen.
The ones on top of my list are – the Courtney Milan box set – Brother Sinister series. Next is Cold-Hearted Rake by Lisa Kleypas. Other than these two, I have been meaning to try Outlander by Diana Gabaldon for a while now and will hopefully get to it soon!
White Hot by Ilona Andrews.
The new Merediith Duran, the new Laura Florand…lots more on my TBR pile!
So many choices! I’d probably pick up the latest Stephanie Laurens, though, she’s one of my favourites and I’ve heard great things about it!
I would probably buy Eileen by Ottessa Moshfegh! Thanks for the chance to win 🙂
Can’t Get Enough and Can’t Walk Away by Milly McLain – I liked the first one, and I have this thing….when I find out it’s one in a series….
I need George RR Martin to get a move on. THE WINDS OF WINTER beckons.
I was coveting Tessa Dare’s When a Scottish Ties the Knot, but since I just inhaled it I think I’m looking at her back list now
I would use it to buy the books that look good when they are on sale in the US but never are in Australia – Jennifer Crusie’s Cinderella Deal is the latest – still $15.95 over here!
These are for me.
-PURITY, by Jonathan Franzen.
-DARK GHOST, by Christine Feehan
-ARCHANGEL’S ENIGMA, by Nalini Singh
I would buy these for my kids.
-The Ascendance Series by Jennifer Nielsen
-Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site by Sherri Duskey
