Targeted by Katie Reus is $1.99! This is the first book in the Deadly Ops romantic suspense series. The hero and heroine used to be in a relationship. Unfortunately, it’s been years since they’ve seen each other and now the hero is undercover with a new persona, tasked with getting close to the heroine to help with a case. Obviously, she doesn’t know it’s him. While readers loved the second chance romance combined with the hero’s disguise, some felt certain aspects of the story dragged a little long. It has a 4-star rating on Goodreads.

In Rides Trouble
In Rides Trouble by Julie Ann Walker is $2.99! This is book two in Walker’s Black Knights Inc. series, which is romantic suspense with a motorcycles. Lots and lots of motorcycles. The heroine owns a motorcycle shop, which I think is pretty neat. Many readers mentioned that this book picks up right where the previous one ends, so it may be beneficial to read them in order.

Wilde Nights in Paradise by Tonya Burrows is FREE at most vendors! I think All Romance has it listed for $2.99, but it’s free elsewhere. This also looks like a stranded romance since the hero and heroine are cooped up in a safe house together. The second book in the series, Wilde for Her ( A | K | G | AB ) is $2.99 and the third book, Wilde at Heart ( A | K | G | AB ) is available for preorder for $2.99.

Special ops bikers seems to be a thing these days. Not a complaint, just an observation.
it seems like “aegis” is popping up a lot lately in books as a secrecy orginization name (or a dom’s club name). I can’t read any of those books because there is a memory care place in my area with that name that advertises heavily so every time I see it my brain renames the organizations, so you get the Dementia Demonslayers, and elite black ops team, now with Alzheimer’s!
Per Merriam-Webster: sassy, adjective
: having or showing a rude lack of respect
: very stylish
: confident and energetic
Definitions 2 & 3 are okay but it’s the first one I think of every time. As such I’m not all that keen on women being described as “sassy” much less named it. Not even acceptable as a nickname to me.
Julie Ann Walker’s books can be read as stand alone books in a pinch. When you decide that you want the rest of the series, you’ll realize that you gave yourself some spoilers, but you’ll also get the full story to incidents and relationships quickly and casually mentioned in later books.
