  • Love Lessons

    Love Lessons by Heidi Cullinan

RECOMMENDED: Love Lessons by Heidi Cullinan is 99c! This is a contemporary, new adult m/m romance set on a college campus. Love Lessons was also mentioned on a previous podcast with Joyfully Jay. Readers loved the emotional connection and growth between the heroes, while some felt like the book dragged in spots and went a little long.

Love doesn’t come with a syllabus.

Kelly Davidson has waited what seems like forever to graduate high school and get out of his small-minded, small town. But when he arrives at Hope University, he quickly realizes finding his Prince Charming isn’t so easy. Everyone here is already out. In fact, Kelly could be the only virgin on campus.

Worst of all, he’s landed the charming, handsome, gay campus Casanova as a roommate, whose bed might as well be equipped with a revolving door.

Walter Lucas doesn’t believe in storybook love. Everyone is better off having as much fun as possible with as many people as possible…except his shy, sad little sack of a roommate is seriously screwing up his world view.

As Walter sets out to lure Kelly out of his shell, staying just friends is harder than he anticipated. He discovers love is a crash course in determination. To make the grade, he’ll have to finally show up for class…and overcome his own private fear that love was never meant to last.

  • No Limits

    No Limits by Lori Foster

No Limits by Lori Foster is $1.99! (And $3.99 at Kobo.) This is a sports contemporary romance and the first book in the Ultimate series. And whew…look at that cover! The hero is an MMA fighter who rescued the heroine a few years back, so there definitely seems to be a suspense element to the book too. Many readers found the book to have a good blend of romance and action, though a few found the book’s resolutions to be wrapped up a little too quickly. It has a 3.9-star rating on GR.

A surprise inheritance reunites a mixed martial arts fighter with the woman he’s never forgotten in the first in a smoldering new series from New York Times bestselling author Lori Foster

Cannon Colter is quintessential hero material: chiseled jawline, shredded body—the works. He’s also the guy who rescued Yvette Sweeny from kidnappers, only to put an end to her romantic dreams. These days, she’s older, smarter, determined to face whatever life throws her way. Even the prospect of sharing a house and business with Cannon.

Cannon knew Yvette wanted him three years ago. But she was young—and some things are worth waiting for. Thrown together by her grandfather’s legacy, he realizes how deep Yvette’s scars really go, and how much danger lurks in their quiet town. As pent-up desire explodes between them, protecting her becomes the only fight that matters. And he’ll break all the rules to do it….

  • An Accidental Goddess

An Accidental Goddess by Linnea Sinclair

An Accidental Goddess by Linnea Sinclair is 99c! This book has made quite the rounds on the site. The former cover was featured on an older edition of Cover Snark. It made an appearance in the comments of Carrie’s review of another Sinclair scifi romance, Gabriel’s Ghost. And it was also recommended by a few readers in a Rec League post on scifi romances with alien characters. It has a 3.9-star rating on Goodreads.

Raheiran Special Forces captain Gillaine Davré has just woken up in some unknown space way station, wondering where the last three hundred years have gone. The last thing she remembers is her ship being attacked. Now it seems that while she was time-traveling, she was ordained a goddess….

Gillaine’s only hope of survival rests with dangerously seductive Admiral Mack Makarian, who suspects her of being a smuggler—or worse. But he can’t begin to imagine the full extent of it. For Gillaine is now Lady Kiasidira, holy icon to countless believers, including Mack—a man who inspires feelings in her that are far from saintly…feelings she knows are mutual. But when their flirtation is interrupted by a treacherous enemy from the past, Gillaine’s secret—and secret desires—could destroy them both….

Accidental Goddess is a lot of fun and a good entry point if you’re curious about Linnea Sinclair or SFR. (The other one to start with is Games of Command, my fave).

  4. Just had to get Accidental Goddess because if that doesn’t sound all kinds of crazy… And I roared with laughter over the cover snark

Checking on Accidental Goddess showed me that Linnea Sinclair has released a new book! YAY!!! I felt like she was just about to break through to a next level of writing with the last one and I was crushed that her publisher didn’t want more.
