Loretta Chase on Sale!

Thanks to Heather and many others for the heads up – there are some Loretta Chase historical on sale, just in time for weekend reading!

  • Your Scandalous Ways

Your Scandalous Ways by Loretta Chase

Your Scandalous Ways by Loretta Chase is $1.99 right now. This is book 1 of the Fallen Women series, and features a weary and somewhat oversexed spy who is sent to retrieve some letters from a courtesan. The letters belonged to her former husband, and she has no interest in the hero – until she does have interest in the hero. Readers who liked it really liked the heroine, and that the story is set in Venice.

James Cordier is all blue blood and entirely dangerous. He’s a master of disguise, a brilliant thief, a first-class lover—all for King and Country—and, by gad, he’s so weary of it. His last mission is to “acquire” a packet of incriminating letters from one notorious woman. Then he can return to London and meet sweet-natured heiresses—not adventuresses and fallen women.

Francesca Bonnard has weathered heartbreak, scorn, and scandal. She’s independent, happy, and definitely fallen; and she’s learned that “gentlemen” are more trouble than they’re worth. She can also see that her wildly attractive new neighbor is bad news.

But as bad as James is, there are others far worse also searching for Francesca’s letters. And suddenly nothing is simple—especially the nearly incendiary chemistry between the two most jaded, sinful souls in Europe. And just as suddenly, risking everything may be worth the prize.

  • Silk is for Seduction

Silk is for Seduction by Loretta Chase

Silk is For Seduction by Loretta Chase is $2.99 right now. This book was nominated for a RITA® and our two RITA® Reader Challenge reviewers liked it. Julie gave it an A-, saying, “I really enjoyed this book. Marcelline and her sisters play pre-Victorian Era hardball with their business competitors and the duke. She’s surviving in a man’s world by her wits and her determination.” And Milena also gave it an A-, writing, “I loved Marcelline to bits. She’s a businesswoman, and her work is not just a decoration she’s ready to drop at the first twitch of a duke’s eyebrows. She loves it – all of the fabulous dress designs the Noirot sisters produce are hers – and she doesn’t want to abandon it, even in exchange for a life of luxury.”

Brilliant and ambitious dressmaker Marcelline Noirot is London’s rising star. And who better to benefit from her talent than the worst-dressed lady in the ton, the Duke of Clevedon’s intended bride?

Winning the future duchess’s patronage means prestige and fortune for Marcelline and her sisters. To get to the lady, though, Marcelline must win over Clevedon, whose standards are as high as his morals are…not.

The prize seems well worth the risk — but this time Marcelline’s met her match. Clevedon can design a seduction as irresistible as her dresses; and what begins as a flicker of desire between two of the most passionately stubborn charmers in London soon ignites into a delicious inferno…and a blazing scandal.

  • Don’t Tempt Me

Don’t Tempt Me by Loretta Chase

Don’t Tempt Me by Loretta Chase is $2.99. This is book 2 in the Fallen Women series, and it has a 3.7 star average on GoodReads. Readers who liked it say that while it’s not their favorite of Chase’s books, the heroine and her dialogue, particularly with her new lady’s maid, are incredibly charming.

Spunky English girl overcomes impossible odds and outsmarts heathen villains.

That’s the headline when Zoe Lexham returns to England. After twelve years in the exotic east, she’s shockingly adept in the sensual arts. She knows everything a young lady shouldn’t and nothing she ought to know. She’s a walking scandal, with no hope of a future . . . unless someone can civilize her.

Lucien de Grey, the Duke of Marchmont, is no knight in shining armor. He’s cynical, easily bored, and dangerous to women. He charms, seduces, and leaves them—with parting gifts of expensive jewelry to dry their tears. But good looks, combined with money and rank, makes him welcome everywhere. The most popular bachelor in the Beau Monde can easily save Zoe’s risqué reputation . . . if the wayward beauty doesn’t lead him into temptation, and a passion that could ruin them both.

  • Scandal Wears Satin

Scandal Wears Satin by Loretta Chase

Scandal Wears Satin by Loretta Chase is $2.99 right now. This is book 2 of the Dressmakers series, so if you like fashion and historical romance, this series might be perfect for you. This book has a 3.8-star average, and readers loved the odd couple pairing of the hero and heroine, especially when they have to work together to find the hero’s sister.

From the Journals of Sophia Noirot: A dress is a weapon. It must dazzle his eye, raise his temperature . . . and empty his purse.

A blue-eyed innocent on the outside and a shark on the inside, dressmaker Sophy Noirot could sell sand to Bedouins. Selling Maison Noirot’s beautiful designs to aristocratic ladies is a little harder, especially since a recent family scandal has made an enemy of one of society’s fashion leaders. Turning scandal to the shop’s advantage requires every iota of Sophy’s manipulative skills, leaving her little patience for big, reckless rakes like the Earl of Longmore. The gorgeous lummox can’t keep more than one idea in his head at a time, and his idea is taking off all of Sophy’s clothes.

But when Longmore’s sister, Noirot’s wealthiest, favorite customer, runs away, Sophy can’t let him bumble after her on his own. In hot pursuit with the one man who tempts her beyond reason, she finds desire has never slipped on so smoothly . . .

So excited for book 4 in the Dressmakers series to be released! Do we know when?

  2. Of these four, I enjoyed Your Scandalous Ways the most. Of course, I have a weakness for Venice, and for sexy spies named James.

  3. Heather S says:

Loretta posted on her website on 30 May:

“Yes, indeed, I have written Lady Clara’s story. It’s titled Dukes Prefer Blondes, and scheduled for publication in 2016. I’d heard January 2016, but that might have changed, since I was late delivering the manuscript. But I’ve completed the revisions, and it’s now in the hands of the copy editor. Which means it will return to me in a couple of weeks for another going-over.”

Let’s hope it doesn’t get pushed back a year like “Vixen in Velvet” did!

  4. leslie says:

Gentleman Prefer Blondes is up on Goodreads with a 12/29/15 release date.

I have all these in paperback, but this too good of a deal to pass up. The audios read by Kate Reading are EVEN BETTER!! I just listened to The Last Hellion it was terrific.

  5. leslie says:

    Dukes Prefer Blondes….

  6. JacquiC says:

totally agree that Kate Reading’s narrations of Loretta Chase’s books are absolutely awesome. My “re-read” of Lord of Scoundrels was in audio, rather than print form. And I’m currently listening to the first Dressmaker book, with the second in my audio library.

  7. Alessandra says:

I just finished Your Scandalous Ways a day or two ago and it was really good! I loved it, absolutely everything about it.

  8. SAO says:

Your Scandalous Ways was one of my favorites. Francesca was a well-developed character and clearly different from the run-of-the-mill heroines. Further, unlike many heroines, she lived her life, rather than us just hearing about the “dreadful DeLuceys” without really seeing the dreadfulness.
