Forbidden
Forbidden by Charlotte Stein is 99c! This is the second book in the Under the Skin erotic romance series. Readers mentioned that this romance is a little on the dark side: the hero is a priest in training and the heroine grew up with a religiously fanatic mother. Has anyone read this one?
They say I need help. Another exorcism. This is not new. This is my life. Today, I expect to suffer at the hands of a man as warped by superstition and fear as my mother. A man who will torture me in order to save me from things that don’t exist.
But the man who actually comes to me is different.
Killian is good and decent and he sees what’s good and decent in me. And I don’t mean for it to happen, but every time he looks at me his gaze sets me on fire. He brings me to the light, gives me back my life. For the first time, I see a future for myself. A future with him.
I burn for Killian – a man who’s intent on protecting me. On healing me.He doesn’t get it. The only thing that can heal me is him. But Killian will soon be a priest. Untouchable. Forbidden.
How can I ask a man to choose between me…and God?

Chase Me
RECOMMENDED: Chase Me by Tessa Bailey is 99c! I’m a little on the fence whether to call this a contemporary romance or a new adult romance, because I feel like the latter is trying to get its footing as a genre. But that’s beside the point. I thought the book was a quick read and it was fun, silly, and emotional at all the right moments. The hero, Louis, is definitely a beta hero, though some of the book’s events seemed a little unnecessary. If I had to assign it a grade, I’d give it a B.
College drop-out Roxy Cumberland moved to New York with dreams of becoming an actress, but her dwindling bank account is quickly putting the kibosh on that fantasy. To make some quick cash, she signs up to perform singing telegrams. Her first customer is a gorgeous, cocky Manhattan trust-funder if she ever laid eyes on one. And what could be more humiliating than singing an ode to his junk, courtesy of his last one night stand? Maybe the fact that she’s dressed in a giant pink bunny costume…
After a night out to celebrate winning his last case, lawyer Louis McNally the Second isn’t prepared for the pounding in his head or the rabbit serenading him from the front door. But the sassy wit and sexy voice of the girl behind the mask intrigue him, and one look at her stunning face—followed by a mind-blowing kiss against his doorjamb—leaves Louis wanting more.
Roxy doesn’t need a spoiled rich boy who’s had everything in life handed to him on a Tiffany platter. But there’s more to Louis than his sexy surface and he’s determined to make Roxy see it…even if it means chasing her all over NYC.

Mayhem
Mayhem by Jamie Shaw is 99c! This is a New Adult romance with a rock star hero. Readers loved the hero, Adam, and compared this to a modern-day Cinderella story. Though some readers seemed to point out there’s a bit of slut-shaming in the book. It has a 4.1-star rating on Goodreads.
When college freshman Rowan Michaels meets gorgeous, up-and-coming rock star Adam Everest, she knows a player like him is the last thing she needs after her ex-boyfriend shattered her heart. But she can’t stop thinking about the kiss they shared on his tour bus.
On the first day of school, Rowan is stunned when Adam saunters into her French class. He’s soon failing miserably, and, on a whim, she offers to tutor him. But Adam doesn’t recognize her as a makeup-free, glasses-clad college student—a far cry from the beautiful, mysterious “Peach” he met at his concert.
During a wild weekend on tour with the band, Rowan can’t help falling for the sweet guy buried beneath Adam’s rocker persona. Yet she knows she could never compete with the girls constantly throwing themselves at his feet. She’d just end up hurt … again.
Peach is all Adam thinks about, though, and when Rowan realizes this, she has a decision to make: stay just friends to protect her fragile heart … or reveal the truth about the night they met and admit she’s fallen completely, hopelessly in love with him.

OMG Dean Winchester is in a romance novel
Charlotte Stein wrote Deep Desires, which remains to this day one of the best erotica novellas I’ve ever read. You bet your britches, er… bitches? that I’m jumping on Forbidden. Also, Dean Winchester.
HEY!! It’s Gloriamarie!!! Not Gloriamarie!!!!!!
Also wish to point out that All That Lies Broken (Ashmore’s Folly Book 2) by Lindsey Forrest just came out the day before yesterday and is on sale for $2.99 all this month.
Read Under the Skin. Meh. She is an abuse victim who travels with the soon-to-be priest to a rescue house. She had been told she was demon possessed her whole life. The priesty dude tries to keep away from her–but TO NO AVAIL!
It was more squick inducing than romantic. Blurgh. Abuse too fresh, him too holy-ish, her way too naive.
