Skies of Fire

Skies of Fire by Zoe Archer is .99 right now. This is book 1 in the Ether Chronicles series, which she and her husband, author Nico Rosso, wrote in alternating sequence. This book has a 3.5-star average on GoodReads, and readers who liked it say that it’s a good start to a series that gets better with each book.
Captain Christopher Redmond has just one weakness: the alluring spy who loved and left him years before . . . when he was still just a man. Now he’s superhuman — a Man O’ War, made as part of the British Navy’s weapons program — and his responsibility is to protect the skies of Europe. If only he could forget Louisa Shaw.
Louisa, a British Naval Intelligence agent, has never left a job undone. But when her assignment is compromised, the one man who can help her complete her mission is also the only man ever to tempt her body and heart. As burning skies loom and passion ignites, Louisa and Christopher must slip behind enemy lines if they are to deliver a devastating strike against their foe . . . and still get out alive.

Death By Cashmere by Sally Goldenbaum is $1.99. This is book 1 in the Seaside Knitters mystery series, which is now 10 books long. If you know a cozy mystery fan, or you are one, this would be a lovely surprise gift. This book has a 3.6-star average, and while some readers enjoyed the descriptions of everything, including the food, others found the pace a bit to slow for their tastes.
Not long after Isabel “Izzy” Chambers opens up a knitting shop in the sleepy fishing town of Sea Harbor, Massachusetts, a diverse group of women begins congregating each week to form the Seaside Knitters.
Izzy raises some eyebrows when she rents the apartment above her shop to Angie Archer, whose reputation for loose behavior and a quick temper has made her unpopular with many locals. But could any of them have wanted her dead? Angie’s body is discovered drowned in the harbor, her long red hair tangled like seaweed in a lobster trap.
An official investigation rules the death an accident. There are speculations of too many whiskey sours, a slippery wharf, a dark night…But Izzy and the Seaside Knitters smell something fishy. When several strange incidents occur above the shop, the women decide to take matters into their own hands. But before long, their small-town sense of security is frayed, and the threat of more violence hangs over this tightly knit community…

I’m seeing Skies of Fire for $2.99 at all the links?
Skies of Fire was actually my favorite of the series. I loved them all, but that one really did it for me! I loved the heroine and hero so freaking much.
And the Loretta Chase is only 99p to pre-order in the UK. Thank you very much 🙂
Love the reviews and happily adding new books to my kindle and while simultaneously destroying that “I’ve almost paid off my credit card!” feeling I had….at least these books run cheap!
