When I was in DC for the What is Love conference at the Library of Congress in March, I was invited to visit NPR to be a guest on a Small Batch episode of Pop Culture Happy Hour, and a longer full episode of PCHH to be aired at a later date. (I tried to be cool, I really did, and I think I managed it mostly. But holy crap crackers was I thrilled. Like, legitimately thrilled, not press-release-thrilled. Full on giddy squee was suppressed -most of the time.)
The Small Batch episode went up today – you can listen at the NPR site, or you can check your PCHH subscription to see if it’s there. In this one, Linda Holmes (who is awesome) and I talk about romance, misconceptions about the genre and its readers, and I try to make some recommendations for the PCHH audience who might be curious about romance, or romance-infused mysteries.
I love PCHH, and listen to it constantly. If you haven’t tried the podcast, I hope you’ll subscribe. Smart people talking about pop culture is among my favorite things, and I’m genuinely giddy that I got to be a part of it.
When Worlds Collide! I listen to PCHH all the time on my long runs. Love that Linda Holmes (and Kelly Faircloth on Jezebel) are not afraid to wear their love of romance proudly.

Just listened to the broadcast. Yeah I pretty much never tell anyone I know that I am a hardcore romance reader – which is weird because i know a lot of hardcore fantasy/cosplay/comic con type people which is viewed as a cool but romance not….Great new website!!!!

What a great Small Batch! It was a comment from Linda on PCHH that first led me to your site and the discovery that Romance was a diverse, fun genre with some great authors. Fingers crossed that you make more appearances on PCHH!
