DABWAHA Second Chance Tournament 2015 – Now Open!

DABWAHA-LIt’s time for the Second Chance Tournament!

Is your bracket destroyed? Did your picks go awry? Do you find yourself tied for 500th place and full of despair? Weep no more, bracketeers, because our 2nd Chance Tourney is created just for you.

We start with 16 books instead of 64, so the stakes aren’t as high but the prizes are just as fine.

Go forth and pick new brackets and be hopeful once again.

Please note: you must press the NEW button. This is an entirely new tournament setup.

Also please note: please do not choose an existing nickname. For folks who have already entered their second chance tourney picks, please double check that the web entries match the email verification. If not, email the verification to Jane and she’ll square it away.

And you can keep up with the tournament results, check your bracket, and your neighbor’s bracket HERE.

So unfair that my favorite books of the year are competing against each other in round 5.

  2. azteclady says:

I cannot believe it–I managed this! I got an email verification and everything! *happy dancing*

    Now, watch it bleed.

  3. Amanda says:

How my original bracket was full of red, maybe my 2nd chance one will do better.

  4. Amanda says:

Question, when I clicked the down arrow by players nickname the name list doesn’t appear. To enter the 2nd chance tournament do I need a new player name?

  5. laj says:

I actually did pretty well, but this next bracket is a killer! I have no idea who to pick to win….all titles are worthy!

@Amanda: Use same name, just start by clicking on new player.

  6. DonnaMarie says:

@Amanda, you have to click new, but you put in your same user name. It’s in the directions which I also skipped. Stupid directions. 🙂

OMG, what a horror. From leaderboard after round 1 to tied for 179th after round 2. At least in previous years I was in the crapper right from the start. Thanks G-d for the second chance bracket to [hopefully] redeem myself a bit.

  8. Amanda says:

    Thanks @laj and @DonnaMarie 🙂

  9. Stephanie J. Scott says:

It says the tiebreaker is total # of reader nominations received; total votes for final round or total votes for the whole thing? (I’ve never done this before!)

  10. Stephanie J. Scott says:

^ Nevermind my Q; I went through old posts and found the original explanation. Thanks!

  11. LaineyT says:

@SBSarah I’m still confused about the tie breaker for the 2nd Chance bracket 😛

I went to enter my new bracket and the webpage indicated the tie breaker is “total points for the final game”. Is this points the winner scores for the original bracket entry? or maybe you mean the winning score for 2nd chance bracket?
