Revenant
Revenant by Larissa Ione is 99c! Yep, you read that right. It’s less than a dollar. This book came out in December and is the sixth installment of the Lords of Deliverance series. For fans of paranormal romance, this has mainly angels and demons, instead of your typical vampire fare. It’s probably best not to read the series out of order, though if you’ve been waiting for the price to drop, now’s your chance. It has a 4.4-star rating on GR.
HELL HATH NO FURY . . .
For five thousand years, Revenant believed he was alone in the world, a fallen angel beyond any redemption. Now he finds he has a twin brother who had all the light and love Revenant was denied. Caught in a tug of war between Heaven and Hell, he must weigh his thirst for revenge against his desire for a mysterious female named Blaspheme—a female whose very origins could deliver him into salvation . . . or destruction.
LIKE AN ANGEL SCORNED
Blaspheme has a deadly secret: she’s the forbidden offspring of an angel and a fallen angel. Hunted by both heavenly and satanic forces, she has survived only by laying low and trusting no one. When Revenant claims he can save them both, how can she possibly believe him? But the powerful angel is persistence incarnate and for Blaspheme, there’s no place she can hide in Heaven or Hell where he won’t find her . . .

Sanctuary Island
Sanctuary Island by Lily Everett is $2.99! This is a contemporary romance and the first book in a series of the same name. This is also a small town romance with two sisters who are trying to mend things with their estranged mother. Readers enjoyed the romance between city slicker, Ella, and local handyman, Grady. However a few felt the story was simply cute and predictable. Anyone read this one?
When Ella’s sister decides to reunite with their estranged mother, Ella goes along for the ride—it’s always been the two Preston girls against the world. But Sanctuary Island, a tiny refuge for wild horses tucked off the Atlantic coast, is more inviting than she ever imagined. And it holds more than one last opportunity to repair their broken family—if Ella can open her carefully guarded heart, there is also the chance for new beginnings.
Grady Wilkes is a handyman who can fix anything…except the scars of his own past. When he accepts the task of showing Ella the simple beauties of the island that healed him, he discovers a deep sense of comfort he thought he’d lost. But now he must convince the woman who never intended to stay that on Sanctuary Island, anything is possible—forgiving past mistakes, rediscovering the simple joys of life, and maybe even falling in love.

Heart of the Dragon
Heart of the Dragon by Gena Showalter is $1.99! This is the first book in her Atlantis paranormal romance series, and I can personally attest to the fact that you should read this series in order. I made the mistake of reading the second one first and I was hella confused. Like the title of the series suggests, it’s about a secret, mythical kingdom. A few reviews on GoodReads felt the romance was a bit of a stretch between the hero and heroine, while many loved the different setting and characters (the hero is a were-dragon). It has a 3.9-star rating on GoodReads.
Searching for her missing brother, Grace Carlyle never dreamed she would discover a secret world populated by mythological monsters—or find herself facing a sword-wielding being whose looks put mortal men to shame.
But there he was, Darius en Kragin, one of a race of shape-shifting warriors bound to guard the gates of Atlantis, and kill all travelers who strayed within its borders.
Now Grace’s life was in his hands, and Darius had to choose between his centuries-old vow and the woman who had slipped beneath his defenses and stolen the heart of Atlantis’s fiercest dragon.

The Wedding Band
The Wedding Band by Cara Connelly is $2.99! This book just came out yesterday and it’s already on sale! A contemporary romance between a journalist and a celebrity, this is the third book in the Save the Date series. Since it’s a very new release, it doesn’t have much in the way of reviews just yet. Anyone in the bitchery familiar with the series?
It’s the most secretive celebrity wedding of the year, and Christine Case is going to be there!
No-nonsense journalist Christine Case still believes a newspaper should inform, not entertain. But when Chris’s biggest story blows up in her face, she’s out of a job unless she does the one thing she’s sworn never to do—infiltrate a celebrity wedding and write an exposé on the happy couple.
A-list heartthrob Dakota Rain loathes the press. So when he hosts his equally famous brother’s wedding at his Beverly Hills estate, keeping the vultures at bay is Dakota’s top priority—until he meets the sultry singer in the wedding band.
Posing as a singer is no problem for Chris, but when Dakota talks her into a private-island getaway, the hot days—and sizzling nights—make it impossible to go on deceiving him. But what will happen when the media-hating movie star discovers the woman he’s falling for is really an undercover reporter?

I read Sanctuary Island and liked the way Grady and Ella’s romance built over the course of the book. The family part was a bit predictable, as mentioned, but the book earned a place on my keeper shelf. I love the way Lily Everett builds the healing world of Sanctuary Island, and of course, the horses. The second book, Shoreline Drive, is about a marriage of convenience. I stayed up way too late one night to finish that book. I am looking forward to the third book, Heartbreak Cove, due out next month.
I’ve read Cara Connelly’s other two books in the series. They’re great books. She has a great writing style, fun and sassy characters and plots that really move along. I’m looking forward to reading The Wedding Band.
