The West Coast Bitches united recently in Sacramento, California, and we can’t wait to do it again! It is wonderful being a part of an online community in which meeting face to face feels comfortable in every way.
We had snacks, we traded books and book recommendations, and we laughed A LOT. My dog shed on everyone – sorry about that. She was thrilled to get a ton of attention and outraged that no one fed her chips. We spent considerable time admiring Petra’s crocheted penis. It has little outfits and goes on wild adventures on tumblr! It’s available on Etsy! Don’t you want one?
We also named my new pet octopus. The unanimous vote was that it is not sufficiently aloof to be a Darcy and is instead a dead ringer for Mr. Bingley. Say hello, Bingley! Bingley will be part of a steampunk Jane Austen cosplay soon. He followed me home from Lyme Regis, don’tcha know.
Live meet-ups are a pretty new thing for us but they sure are fun. I’ve never seen so many introverts talk so much (in a good way).

Wonderful being there, and thanks again for your hospitality 🙂 Tell the little one the sandwiches were delish, and she was right on about the olives. And no worries about the dog hair, the snuggles were tots appreciated.
