To celebrate the 21st book in Lynsay Sands’ Argeneau series, The Immortal Who Loved Me, Avon asked if they could give away a 4.5 quart Kitchen Aid standing mixer here at the hot pink palace.
Like I would say no to anything that involved the remote possibility of baked goods, right?
Why baked goods? As Caro, the lovely publicists who came up with this buttery idea wrote to me, “Since the heroine, Sherry Carne, owns a kitchen goods store, I thought it’d be fun to give away a fancy KitchenAid stand mixer, because honestly, who doesn’t want one of those? It’s like the Cadillac of cookie equipment.” She’s not wrong – I have one, and I use it all the time. So let’s get to it, eh?
The grand prize is an Ultra Power® Series 4.5-Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer from KitchenAid, in the winner’s choice of color – and this thing comes in red, green, blue, pink, yellow, and something that looks a lot like Tiffany blue – it’s kind of amazing.
Ahoy, widget!
Standard disclaimers apply. This giveaway is open to US and Canadian residents only (I’m sorry). Void where prohibited. Must be over 18 and prepared to cream some butter to win. Euphemisms not included, except for the paddle attachment. But wait! There’s a second giveaway, too, for a second prize! In addition to a complete set of Sands’ Argeneau books – that’s a lot of books, too – the second prize also includes a set of two AirBake cookie sheets, size 14″x16″. (I have these cookie sheets and love them like madness.)
Standard disclaimers apply. This giveaway is open to US and Canadian residents only (I’m sorry again). Void where prohibited. Must be over 18 and prepared to bake like baking has never been baked before. Euphemisms absolutely included, in every possible way.
The giveaway will end at 12pm ET on Monday, 23 February. Winner will be announced 24 February 2015. Please email me with any questions or problems, ok? Good luck, and happy baked goods to everyone!

I like cakes more than cookies. I could make a nice chiffon cake with buttercream icing with that.
And I’m allergic to nuts, son one for me thanks!
My Kitchenaid is the wedding gift I still adore nearly 20 years later, when most of the other gadgets have been donated elsewhere. My first baking project? Cream scones, ’cause I’ve been dying to try out that recipe…
I have been wanting to make cinammon rolls for ages, so a stand mixer would be amazing!
Wouldn’t you have to get the red Kitchen Aid, in honor of the Vampires?
OH, and as to what I would bake? Brownies of course.
Tollhouse cookies!
Ooh, definitely some cupcakes… some awesome lemon cupcakes with lemon buttercream frosting.
I think I’d probably combine my two great loves and try making one of those recipes for boozy cupcakes!
I would bake some salted caramel brownies! Mmmm.
First, I hope you share the results of the nuts in cookies poll. I answered by my heart & not my head. Nuts add protein, good fats, and make the cookie a little healthier, thus they have no place in a cookie.
Second, I’ve been craving chocolate chip cookie dough, so that would likely be what I mixed up in the kitchen aid.
Rustic breads!
Baking and Lynsay Sands are two of my very favorite things!! The first thing I would bake is Mexican Hot Chocolate Cookies, another favorite of mine!
I have been craving fresh bread, so that would be the first thing I would make!
These are very exciting contests!!!
I would make gingerbread cookies for my little cookie monsters!!! And cookies should have nuts: nuts all the way, nuts all the time, more nuts, you can never go wrong with nuts!!!
I would make cookies — snickerdoodles, chocolate chip, peanut butter, you name it! I’m sure I would find many other uses for the mixer, too!
Chocolate chip cookies – of course with nuts
I would give it to my mom, and make all of the cookie and pie recipes that we never bother with because they recommend a stand mixer!
I have always wanted one of these mixers and been told if I get married someone will give me one. Well screw that. I want to make so many cookies and muffins now!
I would make lemon crinkles! Definitely. And nuts only belong in cookies if they’re peanuts.
I would probably bake sugar cookies with my daughter.
No nuts – I’m a purist. I even prefer my chocolate chip cookies without the chocolate chips. Whenever I make a batch, I make one sheet with no chips. That leaves more chips for the rest of the batch.
I would make a strawberry cake
What an awesome giveaway!!! I love to bake chocolate chip and M&ms cookies. Oh and pumpkin bread!!!! Yum….
First thing I would make are Austrian Raspberry Shortbread Cookie Bars.

French Macarons because they are one of the few things I refuse to make by hand!
I would bake chocolate chip cookies with s sprinkle of sea salt
I would make pizza dough!
I would bake red velvet cupcakes first – they are a favourite for both my mom and sisters
I would make strawberry rhubarb pie!
Carrot cake from scratch….to honour a favourite childhood memory, when I use watch my grandmother make that.
I would bake some pudding cookies! They’re my favorite recipe.
I have been wanting one of those mixers forever. I actually just heard about your site after reading this new book called Maliciously Obedient just found your name in the book so thought I would check you out and glad I did. Anyhow I would Bake something chocolate for my hubby he loves chocolate lol.
I’d use it to help make my sister’s birthday cake!
Cupcakes of course!
I make homemade decorated cakes and cupcakes so the first thing I would make is a celebration cake
A red velvet cake with the original cooked milk frosting like Mom used to make. 🙂
I would definitely make my famous Snickerdoodles. My grandpa ate plenty of charred hockey puck cookies in my years of trial recipes, but I’ve finally perfected them.
First thing I’d make…icing. I love homemade buttercream icing on graham crackers. My mom was a baker and that was often an afternoon treat. 🙂
I would first bake some chocolate chip cookies, a favorite in our house.
I love to bake and I would make my Cinnamon Rolls first! We love them a lot at my house! This mixer is gorgeous. I have never owned one!
