Giveaway: A KitchenAid Stand (Mixer) and Lynsay Sands!

Book The Immortal Who Loved Me To celebrate the 21st book in Lynsay Sands’ Argeneau series, The Immortal Who Loved Me, Avon asked if they could give away a 4.5 quart Kitchen Aid standing mixer here at the hot pink palace.

Like I would say no to anything that involved the remote possibility of baked goods, right?

Why baked goods? As Caro, the lovely publicists who came up with this buttery idea wrote to me, “Since the heroine, Sherry Carne, owns a kitchen goods store, I thought it’d be fun to give away a fancy KitchenAid stand mixer, because honestly, who doesn’t want one of those? It’s like the Cadillac of cookie equipment.” She’s not wrong – I have one, and I use it all the time. So let’s get to it, eh?

The grand prize is an Ultra Power® Series 4.5-Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer from KitchenAid, in the winner’s choice of color – and this thing comes in red, green, blue, pink, yellow, and something that looks a lot like Tiffany blue – it’s kind of amazing.

Ahoy, widget!

  3. ReneeG says:

So, note to self – read the request for blog comment BEFORE commenting! I would make cookies – oatmeal chocolate chip (KAF’s cookie of 2015!), bread that is not no-knead, quick breads and blueberry muffins. But not pie crust – that is made by fingers in the bowl.

  4. Carol says:

I would bake lemon coconut bars! They are my favorite.

  5. Eva R says:

I like to bake bread, so I’m thinking a nice olive oil rosemary bread would be first thing I made.

  6. lina says:

Nuts belong in all things especially cookies. That mixer is a dream boat. Who wouldn’t like one ? I am particularly partial to a hero who can bake. The chocolate series from Laura Florand is an awesome series about delectable chefs and the women who love them.

  7. BriannaC says:

I love pecans in cookies! If I won the mixer I would give it to my mom. She always enters to win on the Pioneer Woman. I would rather win one from here.

i’d have to learn how to bake! that would be serious motivation.

I would make my cranberry pistachio biscotti which is a family/friend’s favorite. Or maybe an apple walnut bundt cake. I have a Kitchen Aid stand mixer and I love it. It makes such a difference when you’re making meringue cookies or other stir-intensive dishes!

I would use this magnificent machine to make my husband an Italian Cream Cake which he has been hinting about lately…and I have been ignoring.

  14. littlebird says:

Bread. Tons of bread. And I’d have to buy the ice cream maker attachment as well. 🙂

  15. Qualisign says:

I vote that SBTB give the mixer to the first person who guarantees s/he will bake and send something tasty (with or without nuts) to each of us who responded. Just saying. At least that way we’d all win!

But a blue mixer… In this case, envy is not green. Sigh.

  16. Monica E says:

I would make chocolate chip cookies, my son’s favorite.

  17. Kelly D says:

I would bake a chocolate cake.

  21. twirlygirl says:

Ooh my dream is to have an apartment with a real kitchen with a stand mixer! I would make my favorite lemon filled butter cake with fluffy white icing. It is a lot of work but so worth it in the end! [and no chocolate cookies should not have nuts in them]

  22. rinib says:

Ooh, need a mixer! I would try my hand at a bread because I cannot knead bread dough worth anything lol. and totally love the Argeneau (now expanded to Argeneau-Notte) series!
