To celebrate the 21st book in Lynsay Sands’ Argeneau series, The Immortal Who Loved Me, Avon asked if they could give away a 4.5 quart Kitchen Aid standing mixer here at the hot pink palace.
Like I would say no to anything that involved the remote possibility of baked goods, right?
Why baked goods? As Caro, the lovely publicists who came up with this buttery idea wrote to me, “Since the heroine, Sherry Carne, owns a kitchen goods store, I thought it’d be fun to give away a fancy KitchenAid stand mixer, because honestly, who doesn’t want one of those? It’s like the Cadillac of cookie equipment.” She’s not wrong – I have one, and I use it all the time. So let’s get to it, eh?
The grand prize is an Ultra Power® Series 4.5-Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer from KitchenAid, in the winner’s choice of color – and this thing comes in red, green, blue, pink, yellow, and something that looks a lot like Tiffany blue – it’s kind of amazing.
Ahoy, widget!

i could this
Love this blog!! And this would be great since my daughter is finally starting to join me in the kitchen–since we r military and move around a lot, making the family recipes helps us feel connected…n
I would love to win the set of books and the cookie sheets. The mixer is a nice thought but I would never use it time be honest. It would just sit there gathering dust. The books and the cookie sheets would get plenty of use though! I live making cookies for my girls and my grandson and I live to read! I love cookies with and without nuts. I have no idea if I actually entered this contest currently or not though. I am not the best either technology.
If I won, I’d bake a cake to celebrate.
Nuts in cookies? Most, no. Some need them.
I would definitely whip up a big batch of chocolate chip cookies.
Would love to win the mixer. I would make a big batch of chocolate chip cookies, with nuts! Thanks for the chance to win.
Hmm what a hard decision on what to make first, but I’m going to say it all depends upon the day, if its good something semi healthy and savory, with veggies and chicken. But if its craptastic then its all about the chocolate with peanut butter truffle brownies.
I love to bake. Christmas is my favorite time to make cookies. Although I do make some during the year.
German Chocolate Cake
If I won the mixer, I would bake my late mother-in-law’s famous pound cake! I haven’t made one in years.
cookies
We are looking into getting a new place for our special bundle on the way. I’m learning how to cook homemade meals for healthier nutrition for baby, daddy, and me!
OMG…. I love the books and I’d love to have one of the kitchen products to remind me of these awesome books. I can just see me in the kitchen whipping up a batch of Chocolate Chip Pecan Cookies OR maybe some Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies. TY for the offer.
I would make chocolate chip, peanut butter shortbread cookies. My favorite.
I would make all kinds of things, cake, cookies my husband would use it as well 🙂
OOOhhhhhh, I’ve been dying (metaphorically, of course) for a KitchenAid! I have some Oreo Cream Cheese Truffles and a batch or two of Snickerdoodles that I’ve been meaning to make…..
For both answers – Brownies with White Chocolate and Walnuts.
I would love to win the stand mixer and the books if I won I’d make some cake and cookies and some bread hehehe you can see I love to bake
Chocolate cake with dark chocolate frosting. A glass of red wine a piece of chocolate cake and the Argeneau’s
With the mixer I would make banana bread because once bananas go to the dark side, banana bread is their only hope.
Nuts in cookies? I would eat a cookie with or without nuts. There is no debate.
Since one sign of finding a life mate is a renewed appetite for food I think the mixer and cookie sheets are perfect prizes.
I would gift this to my younger daughter. She loves baking and is good at it. I, on the other hand, can barely heat up a frozen, pre-made pie for Thanksgiving. A KitchenAide mixer is on her wish list of gifts for Christmas and birthday every year, but it’s never been something I can afford for her.
Probably cookies but would love to learn to make bread.
Chocolate chip cookies!
Blondies. Ever notice how few desserts have no chocolate?
Love the books!
If I won I think I would make a red velvet cake to celebrate.
I hope this is international, if not, I have a skybox. I hope I win, I’ve always wanted one of the Kitchen Aids, it’s a dream of mine.
All the cookies. Seriously. I really love cookies and they’re easy enough for my limited domestic skill set.
I love baking and lynsay Sands, the thing I bake the most is chocolate chip cookies 🙂
I would make some fabulous banana bread … really would love to win one!
If I won the Kitchen Aide mixer I would make a HUGE batch of my famous Chocolate Chip Cookies as that is what my family and friends like the most.
I would give it to my sister, who has always wanted one, but can’t afford to buy one! She is a mother of 4 and works full time. She would love to bake for her family.
I’d totally make my grandma’s chocolate chip cookies. I have arthritis in both my thumbs so mixing things by hand isn’t possible. Miss baking!
I’ve always wanted one of these! I would bake any and everything…because I have an awesome new range I’m dying to try out!
Macaroons!
The first thing I’d bake? Oatmeal raising cookies! I have this great recipe I found online. They’re delicious.
i’ve always wanted to own one of those mixers, so I hope you pick my name! I’d whip up a big batch of chocolate chip cookies for my grandson. 🙂
Cookies, lots of them!
I would love a mixer like that. I think the first thing I would make would be a lemon merengue pie…it’s so hard to do by hand. Sounds wonderful just thinking about it.
