Giveaway: Penguin Christmas Classics Collection

Penguin has released a set of classic books in newly-designed Christmas-themed covers, and they’re adorable. They’re also small and perfect for gifting, individually or as a set. Would you like to win a set? I have one to give away!

Here are the books in the collection: The Nutcracker by E.T.A. Hoffman; A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens; The Night Before Christmas by Nikolai Gogol; Christmas at Thompson Hall and Other Christmas Stories by Anthony Trollope; and A Merry Christmas and Other Christmas Stories by Louisa May Alcott.

Aren’t they pretty? The set is hardcover, and, according to the details I was sent, each one has  foil-stamped jackets, decorative endpapers, and nameplates for personalization. So, you know, you could give them away, if you wanted to… or you could keep them for yourself. I won’t tell.

You can enter using the handy widget below. Alas, this giveaway is open to US residents only, and my apologies for that.  Standard disclaimers apply: void where prohibited. Open to US residents 18 years of age and older. Must be suitably attired with some element of holiday spirit to win. Spirit fingers are acceptable. Don’t make that expression or your face will freeze like that. You’ll shoot your eye out. If you do, blame an icicle.

As always, if you have any trouble with the widget, please email me. I’m happy to help. The winner will be chosen at random on Friday, 5 December 2014, by 12pm ET and notified via email.

Good luck, and if you win, I hope you enjoy giving or keeping your holiday collection!

    They are lovely. Thank goodness some graphic designers are getting pub covers.

  2. Jan says:

    The covers are gorgeous. I have several books I place around the living room every Christmas. These would be a wonderful addition on looks alone. Having them on hand to reread every year is an added bonus. Thank you for the drawing.

    The graphics are so pretty and delicate, yet strong. Thank you so much for telling us about these, and for offering them in a drawing. These will make someone’s home merry and bright!

    Fingers crossed!

    Because I’ve listen to your podcast I totally hear your voice when I read things now – like “saying, ‘Myself!’ is totally allowed!”

    @Lea:

    LOL – I write like I talk (or maybe I talk like I write?) so that is not surprising, but that makes me laugh.
