I’ve not read anything by this author before, but love to discover new contemporary romances (as I read almost exclusively historicals).

I can’t wait to read this one!

  4. LaurieF says:

Enjoy Jill Shalvis’  Lucky Harbor. But I also like Molly O’Keefe, Shannon Stacey, Anne Calhoun, Lauren Dane (Petal Georgia, hey!). Many of these author’s books revolve around a special place or smallish towns. All are very good.

  5. Jen G says:

I haven’t read this series.  I love Molly Harper, and Shannon Stacey is also an auto-buy.

  9. Dibs says:

More evidence that reviews sell books.  I’m so excitied!

  10. MarieC says:

I haven’t read this series, but I really enjoy Jill Shalvis’ “Lucky Harbor” series and Jessica Clare’s “Bluebonnet” series

  11. Mara says:

Carrie’s review sold me on this one.

  12. Kareni says:

I haven’t read any of Anna Richland’s other books, but this novella sounds wonderful.  As regards other small town series I’ve enjoyed—I’ve enjoyed many of Robyn Carr’s books as well as those of Rachel Gibson.

  13. Karen says:

I’ve not read any other books in this series but this looks like a good place to start!  Thanks for the giveaway!

  14. GA says:

    Sounds like a good read!

  15. Sharon says:

I love Shannon Stacey and Jill Shalvis for my small town contemporary fixes. I have not read any of the books in this series, but judging by the review, I am seriously missing out!

  16. Drew says:

I was definitely intrigued by the review!

  17. Ruth says:

I haven’t read this series yet but love Victoria Dahl’s various small town contemporaries

  18. Elaine says:

I haven’t read this series, but I do enjoy small town contemporaries (like pretty much everyone else, Jill Shalvis & Shannon Stacey come to mind first)!

  19. KC says:

I haven’t read any others in the series, but this sounds interesting. My favorite small-town series are Victoria Dahl’s Tumble Creek books. Only two are actually set in the town, but it gives a good idea of the tension between small-town comfort vs. nosiness. Thanks for the opportunity!

  20. StacyHgg says:

Great Review! You sold me on it!
I usually read contemporaries that are heavy so this is right up my alley!

  21. Michelle says:

    This looks good

  22. Cassandra B. says:

I haven’t read any of this series and small town books are not at the top of my love list, so I don’t have a favorite that springs to mind, but this book sounds great. Thanks for the giveaway.

  23. merry Z. says:

This is definitely going on my wish list.

  24. J says:

    Kristan Higgins!

  25. Helen says:

This series is new to me. I love Jill Shalvis’s LUCKY HARBOR series.

Thanks so much for the giveaway.

  26. Janice says:

I haven’t read any of Richland’s books yet but the review got me excited. Now this is going on my to-read list. I’ve enjoyed lots of small town contemporaries from so many different authors (Whisky Creek, Lucky Harbor) that I know I will enjoy this new-to-me series.

  27. Amanda Lee says:

I haven’t read any in the series or really any decent small town contemporary recently- this seems like a good one to kick off a streak.

  28. MD says:

I haven’t read any books in the series, but I would certainly try. Small town books are not necessarily my thing, but I really liked Jill Shallvis “Lucky Harbor” contemporaries.

  29. Lynnd says:

Carrie’s review sold me on this one.  Small town contemporaries aren’t my favourites, but this sounds really great.

  30. Kate K.F. says:

I haven’t read any of these as small town contemporaries aren’t a genre I read too often. Its odd because one of my comfort TV shows is Gilmore Girls that has a real romance feel and is very much small town.

This sounds like an amazing book.

  31. Kim says:

Thanks for the giveaway. I haven’t read this series. Rachel Gibson & Susan Elizabeth Phillips have written some good books set in small towns.

  32. Bridget says:

Have not read this author before, but hoping it win!

  33. Sue says:

VERY excited for this book. VERY excited that Anna Richland is so cool. Only a tiny bit sad there will not be an Orca King crossover (but a lot relieved).

  34. karen h says:

I haven’t read any others in this series; and I’m sorta new to the romance genre, so I don’t have any favorites yet.

  35. cleo says:

This sounds really good. I’m looking forward to reading it.

I’m guessing the question is left over from another rafflecopter, but to answer the question, I generally dislike small town romances, although I do like the romances set in small towns by JAK, and Welcome to Temptation by Jennifer Crusie.

  36. Christina says:

Normally this wouldn’t be a type of book that I would read, but your review pretty much has sold me on it!

  37. Denisha Pillay says:

I’ve never met a contemporary small town romance that I … didn’t like. Small town America-Romancelandia is about as far away from living in the heart of Cape Town, South Africa, as you can get, so I think it would take a plot this amazing to win me over. A physical disability not forced into that “Beauty and the Beast” mould? A romance in this genre that features – let alone stars! – PoC? A smart heroine who doesn’t start acting stupid when she meets the hero? The possibility of winning a copy so that I don’t have to factor exchange rates into how much pressure I feel to enjoy the book?

I would love to read this!

  38. JewelCourt says:

I’m a fan of small town contemporaries as long as they don’t fall into the trap of dispargaing cities. In some of them, the small town will be idyllic as Stars Hollow (how I wish that town actually existed) and all the people who live there are “real” and anyone who prefers to live in the city is automatically cast as shallow or money and status obsessed. (Also these books tend to have a heroine who casts off a career that she worked hard to have in order to stay in the small town. And while that in itself isn’t automatically a bad thing, when all the heroines are abandoning their careers I start giving some serious side-eye.)

  39. Jessi Gage says:

    You had me at aphasia.

I can’t wait to read this. Thanks for the giveaway. Whether or not I win a copy, I’ll be buying one too! The giveaway would be bonus. I’ll pass it along to a friend!

  40. Katrina says:

I very, very rarely read small-town contemporaries, because I tend to find that the tropes of romance are much more believable in historicals.  In fact, I can’t think of a small-town contemporary that I’ve read cover-to-cover.  This one sounds really great, and I’m interested because one of my friends recently did a big research project on sexuality and disability.
