The videos were made by gay men and lesbians. I think part of the fun is that they “went” with the stereotypes so popular among straights. Of course not all gay men enjoy musicals, can cook, or are fashion experts. And not all lesbians love sports or play video games. But the point might be that, taken to their logical conclusions, the stereotypes seem to say we’d all be happier married to a homosexual person of the opposite sex!
These videos turn the stereotyping back on those who hold those views. That’s what makes it funny for me!
