Hanukkah Extravaganzah, Part the Sixth!

A computer generated image of a menorah with a book in front of it. On the sixth night of Hanukkah, Smart Bitches gave to me: another Kindle WiFi Paperwhite so when I read in the dark I can see!

A Kindle Paperwhite - WiFi only, sadly not blind-accessible. Yup, we're still sharing the reader love this Hanukkah! I'm giving away a  Wi-Fi Kindle Paperwhite with Special Offers at random to someone in the comments.

All you have to do (no big deal) is tell us what book you're most looking forward to reading, soon, next year, whatever. What's burning up your TBR pile? Because hey, if we're going to recommed books, we're going to recommend 300+ books, right? Right.

Standard disclaimers apply:  I'm not being compensated for this giveaway. Void where prohibited. Must be 18 years of age and ready to read pretty much anytime to win. Open to international residents.

You have 24 hours to leave your comment. I've got a few hours to wrap more presents, and then we can all take a break and read, k?

Happy Hanukkah, everyone!

My TBR list is miles long because I’m in the middle of coaching season right now. Thinking of all the books I want to read right now but don’t have time to it’s depressing me. But winning a new ereader would make me feel better!

  5. kkw says:

The next book on my list is C S Lewis’s A Grief Observed, but I’d be lying if I said I was looking forward to it.  I am very eagerly anticipating the next Rothfuss book, but it isn’t out yet.  I have the latest Stacey Shannon Shannon Stacey book out from the library, and the fact that I can’t remember her name belies the extent of my reader crush on her.

  6. Judy says:

I can’t wait to read Ever After by Kim Harrison!

I’m looking forward to the latest by Lora Leigh in her Breeds series, can’t wait. Also the latest by Barbara Erksine and the new Outlander book. So many books, not enough time. If only I could get a job where I’m paid to read what I like.

  21. KristaC says:

I’m looking forward to Lord of Darkness from Elizabeth Hoyt.

  22. Boredcrow says:

The sixth book in Thea Harrison’s Elder Race series. It’s possible I’m a teeny bit obsessed with those books at the moment…

  23. Steel’s Edge by Ilona Andrews is under my desk right now! I haven’t even opened the box yet, because I know when I start reading, I won’t put it down until I reach the end, and I have too much to do this week!

  24. JenM says:

I just got Fury’s Kiss by Karen Chance and it is top of the list right now.  I’m currently doing a reread of the series since it has been awhile and I wanted to brush up.

  25. Jane Smith says:

“Kris Longknife: Defender” by Mike Shepherd. Due…in 2013 sometime. Or the next Nalini Singh Psy-Changeling book.

  26. Tam B. says:

Let me just check my list…
Crimson Frost by Jennifer Estep releases Christmas Eve so I’ll be up and able to read to Santa.  Low Down Dirty Shane by Sierra Dean releases Christmas Day so my family can give me the gift of a quiet corner and time to read! (Like that will happen.)  January is where I will check here and all the other lists for some great new reads.  February is when the next Kate Daniels book is due as well as Calculated in Death and House Rules.  March brings Twice Tempted so I can read more about Vlad.  Then I’m back to the bitchery for recommendations until July with Fifth Grave Past the Light and Biting Bad in August.  I’ll have to haunt FB to find out when SE Smith finishes Choosing Riley because I just met her in Cornering Carmen and she is one cool chick.  I’m sure there will be more added as the year progresses but it’s a start.

  27. Jeayci says:

Life Lessons 4 by Kaje Harper, whenever she finishes writing it. 🙂

  28. Medley says:

I’m looking forward to the new Briggs in February, the new James Rollins, the new Odd Thomas book by Koontz, and I’m still swimming through old Kinsales I bought when they were on sale.

Digital TBR piles just seem so much more manageable…  Maybe that’s just me.

  32. Bookrat101 says:

I can’t wait to read The Prince by Tiffany Reisz!

  33. Narelle w says:

I’m a bit torn here as I pre-ordered a few books in anticipation of (Australian) summer holiday non-work reading time. I really enjoyed the Julia Quinn/Eloisa James/Connie Brockway book ‘the lady most likely’, which could relate to the fact that I thought they wove the different parts/author’s voices pretty well, so am looking forward to the follow-up, ‘a lady most willing.’ But then there’s Kristan Higgins… I love the awkwardness, ‘oh-no-no-no-don’t’ nature of her characters (while I cringe in embarrassment for them), and I enjoyed her most recent book, ‘somebody to love’ – which incidentally features characters from one of her earlier books (catch of the day – which I adored – not the next best thing, which I did not) – so am looking forward to ‘the best man’. Apologies for the long reply to a short question

  34. I’m looking forward to reading CLOUD ATLAS by David Mitchell.

  35. 250 responses already? I must be crazy optimistic to even reply. But I’m looking forward to the newest Lev Grossman. Hey, his characters fall in love and have sex, so stop looking at me like that.

  36. NomadGirl says:

The sequel to A Discovery of Witches.  I’ve got a bunch of vacation time and no plans, so that’s going to be it!

  37. MrsFBomb says:

Since I don’t currently have anything in my TBR pile and I’m waiting patiently for many books to come out I’ll say the one I’m most looking forward to is The Seduction of Elliott McBride by Jennifer Ashley.

  38. Egomez83 says:

    Iced by Karen Marie Moning

  39. Harper Gray says:

I haven’t finished Jim Butcher’s Ghost Short, but I MUST BEFORE THE NEXT ONE IS OUT. Or…you know…after I finish my thesis….

    Shifty eyes? No way.

  40. kfoster says:

I can’t wait to read the newest Mercedes Thompson book by Patricia Briggs…I love me some Adam!!
