Hanukkah Extravaganzah, Part the Seventh!

A computer generated image of a menorah with a book in front of it. On the seventh night of Hanukkah, Smart Bitches gave to me: more noooooooooooooook-(ee). (Note: not actual nooky.)

nook simple touch with glow light screenI'm giving away another  nook Simple Touch with Glow Light to one person chosen at random from the comments in this thread. Can you tell the theme of this year's Hanukkah Extravaganzah is Reading All the Things?

A pleather one that opens like a book.

  2. Ann F. says:

I need an invisibility cloak cover so my kids can’t find it to steal it from me.

  3. I’d leave is naked for awhile. And probably try to knit something to cover it that way I can practice some new skills, and enjoy my books at the same time.

  4. Jordan Rowe says:

I love the covers with leather bindings and look really old!

  5. SaltyPickle says:

  9. Heidi says:

Bedazzlement and recycled (aka crappy) crafts would be involved. Like re-using that favorite sweatshirt or go old school with a paper grocery bag.

  10. Nancy says:

    a smexy cover

  11. hapax says:

I don’t know what *kind* of cover it will get, but I do know the *color*:  all my electronica MUST be cherry red!

My nook would be as naked as a romance hero’s torso.

  13. Stephanie says:

    I would have naked Nook.

  14. MissMonky says:

Ohh I saw one on etsy not to long ago that was like an old fashioned diary. For some reason it stuck with me…books are where my inside monologue was born. My fantasies, my fears, my values were all shaped by books. Why not treat my books like my diary.

  15. I’d find a book-type cover, like the Medge on my Kindle Keyboard. It doesn’t add too much bulk, but protects the device when it’s riding around with me.

  16. Kara Thorpe says:

I would get a University of Alabama cover (would keep my Notre Dame alumnus husband’s grubby hands off it).

  17. mojostables says:

I would get a jumbled quote over.

  18. ZK says:

maybe a leather cover in Red?

  19. Jo says:

I would love granny smith green colored cover 🙂

  20. Tara says:

I wouldn’t use one, it would stay naked.

  21. Samantha Grey says:

I’d probably get something a little durable in case I dropped it, but cute, too! Maybe something from etsy.

Thanks for the giveaway, this is awesome 🙂

  22. anneinmn says:

A brightly covered color.  Probably green or orange.

  23. Becca says:

My daughter the artist says she’ll steam-punk out any cover to any ereader I get.

    Probably something hot pink!

  25. Kathleen says:

    Pink or blue.

  26. Suz_Glo says:

  27. cyclops8 says:

I’ve got my eye on some Jack Spade covers.

  28. D. R. says:

Tuf Love cases will be the first place I shop for a case. I love their products.

  29. Tnjade says:

I would make a knitted sleeve for it. 🙂

  30. Justine says:

I’d apply a transparent film to the screen to protect it, but otherwise leave the rest of the device uncovered.

  31. RRReader says:

Oberon Design has the best covers!  Sturdy and beautiful.

  32. Vinessa says:

I would put a tardis/doctor who cover on that thang!!!

  33. Lil' Deviant says:

Not sure what kind of cover I would buy.  I would have to shop around a bit.  But I would enjoy the search! *grin*

  34. EH says:

    A bright purple cover

  35. Jo Owen says:

One that is a) brightly coloured so that I can find it in the black hole that is my handbag and b) zipped so that the crud that collects in said bag doesn’t scratch the screen 🙂

  36. faellie says:

The perfect incentive to join the local quilting group.

  37. Margot says:

I’m cheap, so I’d knit my own cover. Which never seems to work as well as bought covers, but well enough.

  38. K Angel2 says:

I really like the water proof looking covers.  They can get a little snow/mist on them and still be safe!

  39. suiyoubieveryday says:

i’ll put a cover that looks like an old book cover

  40. DiabolicalRacyNimbleFingered says:

I’d want a brightly colored cover so I could spot it easily.  Possibly one of those beautiful Oberon leather covers in a red or blue or green.
