Hanukkah Extravaganzah, Part the Seventh!

A computer generated image of a menorah with a book in front of it. On the seventh night of Hanukkah, Smart Bitches gave to me: more noooooooooooooook-(ee). (Note: not actual nooky.)

nook simple touch with glow light screenI'm giving away another  nook Simple Touch with Glow Light to one person chosen at random from the comments in this thread. Can you tell the theme of this year's Hanukkah Extravaganzah is Reading All the Things?

    Something bright and colorful!

  2. ThingsAlySays says:

I’d probably get a cover filled with cats. I can’t resist!

  3. Keslynn says:

I usually use a sleeve with my ereader instead of a cover. I like to read on a naked reader (scandalous, I know!). I would probably pick up a padded sleeve with a cute pattern on etsy.

  4. Cerian Halford says:

I’d definitely get a gelaskin for it! There’s some awesome designs and you can create your own as well. Soemthing with a bit of a vintage feel would be perfect 🙂

  5. Karen D says:

I like the ones that open like a book. Maybe I could get one with Fabio on it?

  6. Vasha says:

I’m practical—I’d put on a non-slip cover with an ID tag.

  7. Emily E says:

One of those silicone sleeves, just to protect it from bumps.  Had a big leather easel cover for my first eReader.  Just kept taking it out to put in a plastic ziplock Baggie.

  8. Olivia Knott says:

    I’d want a leather cover.

  9. SarahY says:

    I’d go with a naked nook!Sara

  10. Karen Wapinski says:

I usually keep mine naked but I do love this cover here:
    http://www.gottabemobile.com/2…

I love the dragon and with the amount of UF Romance I read it ties right in lol

  11. I’m also in the “cover that looks like a book” camp, and there are some pretty ones out there.

  12. ksattler says:

    I would probably quilt one.

  13. Thinking about it, I suppose I would have to get a cover, if only to make sure the device won’t get destroyed by cat vomit. Sigh.

  14. Molly says:

Hot pink, purple, and turquoise paisley. In my dreams, I’m sure.

  15. I don’t know if they make them, but if they do, I would put a Tardis cover on it.  If not, it would probably be naked.

  16. SaraC says:

i saw soeone using a children’s book cover for thier e-reader that I loved. Not sure where I’d find it though.

  17. alaina keener says:

i’d love to find some sort of quatrefoil patterned cover.

  18. Jane says:

    Naked nook 🙂

  19. KellyM says:

I am currently lusting after the beautiful leather covers at Oberon Design.
    🙂
    Happy Hanukkah!

  20. Ramona says:

Like the Necronomicon, I’d have to have it bound in human flesh.

Or maybe something with cute little kitties on it.

  21. It’d probably be naked for awhile, but then eventually I’d give it something that resembles a book cover (leather, rawr). And a dust-proofing clingy-thing for the screen. And I’d pat it a cuddle it and call it George.

  22. Nsojka85 says:

Do they make covers with shirtless men on them?  I’d like one of those!

  23. Kim B says:

Naked for me. I don’t like anything between me and my ereader.

  24. Jeayci says:

I’d probably keep it naked when reading, just get a sleeve for transporting it.

  25. ZiaBo says:

I saw a cover that had the first lines from all these classics, including Pride & Prejudice. I looked for it for my old Kindle, but there aren’t any covers that are as cool as the ones for the Nook. So if I could find it again, I’d get the one with the first lines.

  26. Jlm2509 says:

    Something sturdy to survive kids.

  27. TaraR says:

My friend uses this plush drawstring bag that acts as a sleeve for her Kindle. That’s what I would like to use.

  28. Maren says:

I like the looks of the Industriell Easel cover.

  29. Ashley Greenidge says:

I like the one that looks like a book 😀

  30. KT_Clapsadl says:

Hmmm.. either naked 😉 or a leather folio

  31. Veraknurenko says:

I’d buy the simple rubber one, it seems to be the most durable and i actually like how it looks

  32. Katrina Fast says:

    I would knit one.

  33. Diane Mc says:

I would get one in purple or some other bright color. The DH and sons would leave it alone.

  34. Casie Madden says:

I would get a sturdy leather cover or some sort of plastic case, since I know I am not a delicate flower, especially when it comes to my electronics.

  35. samantha says:

    Something with leopard print 😉

  36. Amber R. says:

I really like the ones that look like real books. That’s what I have for my kindle. But, I kind of want one that has a built in stand.

  37. Sandypo says:

Something simple and practical. Nothing flashy.

  38. Trishleroy49 says:

I would put something i.can zip up.  It would probably.hold.things my purse currently holds.  I tend to minimize stuff.  But it would have to be colorful!  😉

  39. I would probably have a naked Nook, though I have so much left-over fabric from other projects that I could make a fancy cover if I got up the energy—maybe in black/white toile, my favorite type of fabric.  Romantic fabric Nook cover to go with romantic Nook downloads!

  40. Brook says:

A cover that would let the nook stand up on its own.
