Once Burned: Win a Firepit. No, Really.

Once Burned by Jeaniene Frost We have a silly crazy giveaway today to celebrate the upcoming release of Jeaniene Frost's Once Burned ( A | BN | K | S ). Because Once Burned features a heroine who can channel electricity, and a vampire hero who can control fire, we're giving away FIRE. Specifically, a fire pit!

Cue me saying, 'FIRE! FIRE!' Also “YES, I WANT S'MORES.”

Alas, no smores or fire for me, but s'mores and fire for you!

FIRE FIRE FIRE PIT!The Grand Prize is a 40″ fire pit with a copper fire bowl, a removable screen, and a mosaic tile rim. It's about 65 pounds, it's very pretty, and if you throw some wood in it, you can make s'mores.

S'mores are indeed included, too. The grand prize winner will also receive a gourmet s'mores kit from Recchiuti Confections that includes vanilla marshmallows, bittersweet chocolate and graham crackers.

And since you'll be stuffed from eating s'mores and keeping your feet warm, you can read books! Jeaniene Frost's backlist is part of the prize. The winner will also receive a copy of Once Burned, plus:

  • HALFWAY TO THE GRAVE
  • ONE FOOT IN THE GRAVE
  • AT GRAVE’S END
  • DESTINED FOR AN EARLY GRAVE
  • THIS SIDE OF THE GRAVE
  • ONE GRAVE AT A TIME
  • FIRST DROP OF CRIMSON
  • ETERNAL KISS OF DARKNESS

One lucky runner up will win Eternal Kiss of Darkness and First Drop of Crimson, and a Recchiuti s'mores kit.

What to enter? Craving s'mores (I so am, holy smoke)? All you have to do is leave a comment with your favorite thing to cook outside, whether it's on the grill, over an open fire, in the bug zapper or inside the hot engine of your car. The grand prize and the runner up will be chosen at random from the comments.

Standard disclaimers apply: Must be over 18 and wearing long pants to win. Void where prohibited. This giveaway is open to international residents, but please note: the firepit is only shippable within the contiguous US, so the firepit giveaway is open to US residents only. However, if a winner from outside the US is chosen, he or she is eligible for an American Express giftcard for an amount equal to the price of the firepit ($300US). I'm not being compensated for this giveaway by Avon or by the Federation of Awesome S'mores. I like s'mores. Any disclaimer issued by me is subject to silliness without notice.

So, let's get fire cooking! You've got 24 hours to tell me what you like to cook outside. Good luck!

Hamburgers! My grandfather makes hands down, THE BEST burgers in the world. Sadly he can’t grill anymore. Man I miss those.

  25. For me it’s all about a HOT DOG ON A STICK over a blazing fire with toasted buns. When I go camping it’s usually hot dogs every other night; there is just something about it. On a regular day I eat two hot dogs but while camping I could easily eat 4 – although I try not too.

  26. My favorite would have to be bbq Ribs and hot dogs

  27. Shannonrae84 says:

  28. Bboo04 says:

  29. Anna-Leia says:

Well now, I just love to get my own blood cooking by Jeaniene Frost’s great series and I have a beautiful spot on my very own balcony for that purpose!
Regretable this balcony was anchored to a german house so I won’t be able to win the firepire. That’s really a shame, it would fit so nicely on the balcony.
    Bummer! ๐Ÿ™

  30. Michelle D says:

I love vegetable kebabs with artichoke, tomato, red pepper, pineapple, shallots, asparagus, sweet potato and whatever else I can put my hands on in a tasty marinade.

Dessert must be a banana boat (if I can’t have s’mores, that is) with banana, chocolate and marshmallows.

  31. Some brats, chicken…. grilled veggies…. everything cooked outside is better really ๐Ÿ™‚

  32. LChrisH says:

Favorite thing is quite easy—Flank steak that has been seasoned with salt and pepper, then taken out and grilled and wrapped up in a leaf of boston lettuce with carrots, lime juice, and red onion. It’s a great summer time food without all the extra calories. And, it’s easy to make if you’re expecting company over as all of the set up, aside from the steak, can be prepared a head of time and set aside. Take it outside when the steak is ready and you’ll the favorite house of your friends. In a screened in porch, of course. No sense letting the mosquitoes have a feast as well. Follow it up with smores for desert—Delish ๐Ÿ˜‰

  33. Debmomof3hs says:

I love fire roasted corn, slathered in butter and fresh mint on. Then it’s time for the s’mores. really can you top them ??? I don’t think so.
    Once Burned : P

  34. RIght now I think the thing cooking outside is me, compliments of Mr. Sun!  Good lord have mercy!  I really love chicken kebabs on the grill and have a kickass recipe for them too!  However, my two boys would disagree and say that s’mores are the best thing!  A firepit would be awesome, as then they could actually cook them outside instead of inside in the microwave, where an ooeygooey mess is always trailing behind them ๐Ÿ™‚

  35. I love to grill marinated chicken strips and corn on the cob.  It is the best summer food.  You can also throw in some filet’s wrapped in bacon.  Don’t forget to wrap the corn in foil!!  And who doesn’t love s’mores

  36. Love shrimp or just about any vegetable cooked on the grill!

  37. Vanessa B. says:

I especially love hamburgers! And grilled steak!

  38. My favorite thing to cook on the grill? Corn on the cob… wrap a freshly-picked ear of corn (without the husk and stringy junk all over it), in a square of aluminum foil, with ice cubes inside.  Put on the grill and roast until done.  White corn especially turns out DELICIOUS this way!  To me it tastes like summer…

  39. Mist says:

I like roasting hot dogs over a fire, followed by s’mores.

  40. Jilliane says:

New favorite thing to grill is pineapple bacon burgers! They are awesome! Second favorite thing to cook outside is smores!!!
