Hanukkah, Day Two - More Digital Reading!

Hey, want a Sony Reader? Sure, why not?

Time for Day TWO of the Hanukkah Madness, wherein there's eight days of mayhem up in here, and you can win prizes. Eventually I'm going to get to the end of my prize stash and someone will win a box of blank CDs and a post it note or something – but not today!

Today the prize is a Sony Reader WiFi, known by its friends as the PRS-T1RC, or “The RC” for short. The RC stands for Really Cool. Among the other Sony Readers, the PRS-T1RC is the one who stands a bit aloof, is always dressed in the most sartorial elegance, and is the first to get invited to any group party, even if they're all going to Big Lots to buy Cat Litter.

It is… the MOST INTERESTING DIGITAL READER IN THE WORLD*.

*It doesn't always drink beer, though. In fact, it doesn't have a mouth so it doesn't drink beer.

But the PRS-T1RC can be yours if you leave a comment and tell me which book gets loaded on first. The RC stands ready to hold a crapton of books from all different sources, including Your Local Library. It will NOT come pre-loaded with Nicholas Sparks. Sorry.

Standard disclaimers apply. I'm not being compensated for this giveaway. Void where prohibited. Must be over 18 to win, and also wearing platform shoes. Open to international entries. Winner announced tomorrow morning. Measure twice, cut once.

So bring it on: which book goes on first, if you win The RC? Happy Hanukkah, everyone!

It would be Nora Roberts Key of Light.

  2. Ev says:

You’d have to ask my husband because I would give it to him. His Sony died and he has my old one.

  3. TheStormyHeather says:

Devil’s Bride by Stephanie Laurens.  I love the beginning of that series and I’m happy to see the first book in the series available in e-book format.

  4. Rebecca says:

I am heartbroken that my little Sony 350 was stolen from my bag today.  So if this replaced it probably the first thing I’d load on it is the Beverly Jenkins book I have waiting at the library on the strength of RedHeadedGirl’s review of Captured.  (Couldn’t find that as an ebook, but they have “Belle.”)  After that all of my library from my old 350 if possible.  Sigh…

  5. Sarah C says:

I probably will read the first in Jennifer Estep’s mythos academy I read a novella in the series and I’m intrigued.

  11. Patricia says:

First book would probably be Pride and Prejudice, or maybe Moby Dck. I swear I’m going to finish reading that book one of these days.

  12. ChicBookLover says:

I’d PROBABLY load something I love already, maybe “Truly Madly Yours” by Rachel Gibson,or some Loretta Chase/old Robyn Donald book…Or…hmmm..I’ve read half of the new J.D.Robb and half the eBook 4 Inheritance Cycle,so probably one of those.

  13. Erika M says:

Most likely the first book on would be Seanan Mcguire’s An Artificial Night. I’m really enjoying that series so far.

  14. Samantha T says:

Probably Among the Living by Jordan Castillo Price because I really enjoyed her other books.

  15. kate gomberg says:

Twice Tempted by a Rogue, by Tessa Dare, if it’s available in e-format. Because it is not available at my local library, or actually in my state, since they do inter-library loaning. They DO have the first and third books of the trilogy though- it’s driving me crazy!

  16. Susan F. says:

    The new Sabrina Jeffries book!

  17. I would go with Pride and Prejudice. You just can’t mess with a classic.

  18. Elise says:

Angel’s Blood by Nalini Singh. I just loaned my copy to my mom and of course now I want to read it (for the 10th time). Since she looked at me strangely when I suggested I wanted it back when she was done, I get the feeling I’ll soon be buying a new copy.

  19. Martsmoons says:

damn missed it!  I’d load Jill Shalvis’ oldie but goodie, Instant Attraction.

  20. Arani_kk says:

Raven cursed by faith hunter, because it will be out in January 2012, just in time for the Sony reader.

  21. Aurora85 says:

The Bunny Club- By Steph Beck! Love her books 🙂

  24. Kristenfoster says:

I would give it to my daughter and I know she would load all if Christopher Paolini’s Eragon series!

  25. Ana Silva says:

My first book uploaded would be the antology “Down These Strange Streets”, which I’ve been shamelessly flirting with for a while now, and I always wanted to tackle in ebook format, seeing that its only other form is hardcover—and a massive one that is—which doesn’t make it practical for subway reading.

  26. Sally says:

The first book I’d load is The Heiress Companion by Madeleine Robins. I have to read and review that book before I forget.

  27. Erika L says:

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green …after that something by Ilona Andrews or Meljean Brook.

  28. Debbielovesbooks says:

Coming Home for Christmas by Carla Kelly. A new book by Carla is always a treat. Thanks for the giveaway and Happy Hanukkah!

  29. Auntie Kristin says:

    The new Courtney Milan…

  30. Julie in AZ says:

It would have to be any book by Megan Whalen Turner.  I’d have to flip a coin to see which one would be first.

  31. VI says:

The first book I’d load is Eona: Dragoneye Reborn because I’m reading the first book – Dragoneye Reborn now and it is AWESOMESAUCE. So much that I’d already bought Eona. 🙂

  32. Allison says:

Even thought it’s technically not out yet, I’d download “A lady awakened”, asap since the review sounded so interesting.

  33. maered says:

First would have to be my classic Mills and Boon.  Susan Napier definitely.

  34. Actually, I wouldn’t download a book to it. I’d donate the ereader to the library I work for. See, we’re suppose to get an ereader to show patrons how to borrow books using one, but there’s simply no money in the budget for one. As for me, well, I like real books too much. I like their smell, the feel of paper under my fingers, etc.

But I’d love to win a free ereader so I could hand it over to my boss for the library to use.

  35. meganhwa says:

either P&P or whichever new book i haven’t gotten around to reading

  36. worthafortune says:

Melinda Lo’s Ash and Huntress cause I’ve been loving some Queer Young Adult romance and adventure!

  38. Copa says:

The newest Suzanne Enoch definitely, I love her humor and quick pace.

  39. Nikitrax says:

    Death Comes to Pemberly.

  40. tezzkatt says:

I don’t have anything in epub format (I have a kindle) so I would have to go shopping if I won. I think I would try something new out to load first.
