Sorry for the delay in today's Hanukkah giveaway! I totally thought this went live this morning but it didn't. My bad! Blame all the fried food I've been eating – makes me sleepy!
Anyway, today's present for you from me is a chance to win a Kindle Touch! Yay! All you have to do is leave a comment with the one holiday song you are SO LOOKING FORWARD TO NOT HEARING ANYMORE.
ETA: I goofed! I want to be clear: this contest is for a Kindle Touch 3G with Special Offers! I linked to the WiFi-only model, but it's the 3G/WiFi/Special Offers model. My bad!
Me: “All I Want for Christmas is You,” which for some reason I have heard six millionity times this week, and “Jingle Bell Rock,” which makes my eyeballs twitch.
Standard disclaimers apply: I'm not being compensated for this giveaway. (I have to say, I'm amused at the idea of even asking someone to sponsor all this crazy. Imagine that conversation!) Your mileage may vary. Void where prohibited by law. Must be over 18 and wearing slippers to win. Open to international winners though it is your responsibilty to make the Kindle do tricks for you. Call before you dig. Preheat to 350.
Happy almost the end of holiday music on the radio, and Happy Hanukkah, and oh! Happy Boxing Day!

Rudolph the red nosed Reindeer I could do without. Had worked in retail for years and that was one of those songs popping up over and over in rotation. That and Santa Baby. There aren’t a lot of christmas songs left I can stand at this point.
Jingle Bell Rock by…anyone. I cannot seem to escape that song no matter what radio station I switch to. It seems to be a song covered by EVERYONE.
I don’t like “The Christmas Shoes” song.
ANYONE other than Brenda Lee singing Jingle Bell Rock—seriously, why fool with the version that is THE version. The rest just sound lame. Stop, people stop!!!!
Last Christmas. Played over and over on the radio.
Santa Baby
I totally cannot stand that one that starts out “met my old lover in the grocery store” ugh it is soooo depressing!
Also, “My Favorite Things” is not a Christmas Song! If anything it is a Thunderstorm song. I don’t care that there is a lyric about snowflakes! Ugh! It isn’t Christmassy!
Uggg! That Mariah Carey “All I Want For Christmas Is You”, needs to go into hiding. I get it, she can hit really high notes, but dang can’t she skip a song or two? To me, it always sounds like she is trying to communicate with dolphins. Enough already.

Baby It’s Cold Outside, oh my GOD. If she wants to leave you should damn well let her and not try to pour her more drinks!
I have to say that I’m sick of Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer!
But I still love Santa Baby
My best friend made me hate Elvis’s Blue Christmas….She played it over & over so many times down through the years that I cringe & want to run away when I here it…lol
+1 for All I Want for Christmas is You and all it’s incarnations. It’s overplayed.
That Mariah Carey song, no thank, enough is enough
Definitely Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer.
I was lucky and bypassed most of the Christmas music by shopping online…what little shopping I did. Everytime I did hear anything on the radio- Springsteen’s Santa Claus is Coming To Town, Grandma Got Run Over, and the dogs woofing to Jingle bell’s…it seemed that those three were on a continuous “let’s drive the listeners batty” loop.
NOW, let’s ask what commercials I NEVER want to see, hear or be reminded of???
Honestly, I cannot stand ANY Christmas songs anymore. I’ve been hearing them since the beginning of November so it makes me grind my teeth whenever I hear one. Also Christmas is now over and yet I still hear Christmas songs when shopping in the last few days! Can we please turn the page and press NEXT!
Jingle Bell Rock. Awesome Song.
