The madness continues! Today's Hanukkah gift is another $100 gift certificate to the bookstore of your choice! That ought to buy enough books to last you about a week, right? Maybe 10 days?
Just leave a comment with a link or recipe for your favorite snack to eat while you're reading.
My favorite cookie: Chewy Chocolate Gingerbread Cookies, one of the “Best of” from Martha Stewart Living Magazine. A bit more labor intensive than other cookie recipes, but I make them every year as a gift for Hubby, at his request. They are amazing with milk or tea, and a book to read. I cannot wait to find out your favorite snack while reading! Share share!

Happy Hanukkah and Merry Christmas and Happy Week Before New Year's! Let's snack!

I love lemon cookies. (But the powdered sugar makes a mess on my books.)
My current favorite snack is Caramel Puffs made by a friend. Not sure if this is the exact recipe: http://www.cooks.com/rec/view/…
anything with chocolate and caramel!
Take one pomegranate. Remove all the seeds. Place seeds in bowl. Snack. Attempt not to leave read stains all over the pages. 🙂
Read should be red. >.<
I love the Ritz toasted snack chips.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
Ingredients
2 1/2 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate
1/2 cup butter
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 cups white sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2/3 cup sour cream
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). In the microwave or over a double boiler, melt unsweetened chocolate and butter together, stirring occasionally until smooth. Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt; set aside. In a medium bowl, beat sugar, eggs, and vanilla until light. Mix in the chocolate mixture until well blended. Stir in the sifted ingredients alternately with sour cream, then mix in chocolate chips. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Hugs

But replace 1/2 the granulated sugar with dark brown sugar and add 4oz of chopped pecans. I prefer to leave off the glaze entirely, but your choice.
My favorite snack is Ranch Oyster Crackers. http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/R…
Chips any kind I love a crunchy snack.

Oh, yes! So bad, but so goooooood…
M&Ms and Diet Coke are my favorite snack while reading.
Thumbprint cookies, made with almonds……or my mother’s pralines!!!
I don’t snack while I am reading. Way to obsessive about the touch screen. But my favorite late night snack is popcorn with lots of butter and a side order of chocolate! Love my sweet and salty!
I don’t have a particular “book reading” snack that I swear by, but I do prefer to have a cup of hot tea, cocoa, or coffee while reading. I will on occasion munch on an apple or crackers while reading but I’ve also been known to read while eating lunch or dinner (may explain why my food is significantly cooled off by the time it reaches my mouth LOL). My hubby says I am the slowest eater known to mankind and if I am “multitasking” by eating and reading then I eat even slower because I am so engrossed in a book that the food goes forgotten on my plate!
I canned salsa this year and it is good… so my reading snack is taco chips and salsa…
