Hanukkah, oh Hanukkah, we’re rocking out for the second night of Hanukkah!
To continue the festive merriment to celebrate reading, both paper and digital, I have a collection of historical romance with some historical fiction mixed in.
All you have to do to win is leave a comment, and I’ll select a winner each day. These contests are open to international winners, and I will do my best to ship this week, provided people send me their addresses promptly.
Standard disclaimers apply: I’m not being compensated for this giveaway. If anything, my gift is exceptional support of the United States Postal Service (Happy Hanukkah, US Mail Carriers!). Jewish people eat jelly donuts, known as sufganiyot, on Hanukkah, which is stone cold awesome. Double knots are best for tennis shoes.
Ahoy! Contest the second!
On the Second Night of Hanukkah, Smart Bitches Gave to Me: A massive selection of historical romance!
Just leave a comment below, and tell me which one you’d read first, or which one you’d give as a gift, and you’re entered to win. Comments close in 24 hours, but fear not, there’s another book – paper or digital – giveaway coming soon. Because Hanukkah lasts for eight crazy nights, and I have not yet eaten enough sweet potato latkes.
Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Reading!

Although anything with Pirate in the title screams- I mean, calls my name, I would have to read The Devil Wears Plaid. I’ve been interested in it for a while, and I need to read it to know whether or not a friend of mine would enjoy it. She gets it next if so!
I love Cathy Maxwell
Seven Nights of Forever – ever since I saw the post about this cover and the clouds of fluff, I’ve been wanting to read!
Seven Nights to Forever – I want to read the fluffy cover romance!
Oh, wow, decisions! I’d read Eloisa James’s book, because I just discovered her this summer. WOW.
I would probably read Scandal of the Season first, partly because of the cover and partly because it sounds like fun 🙂
I would read Suzanne Enoch first – like her books
Wow, that’s some collection! I’d start with Ten Ways… because the title is rather interesting.
well, it would be a toss up between The Devil Wears Plaid and The One with All the Purple Chiffon. It’s all about the textiles.
The devil wears plaid.
Because I like plaid.
Seven Nights to Forever—-I ordered it for the library and am still not first on the waiting list!
I’d like to read the seventeen yards of chiffon one first (the Evangeline Collins), but of course, first I’d do a little dance of happiness. Happy Hanukkah!
It’s a tossup between 10 Ways to Be Adored (Sarah Maclean) or Midnight (Beverly Jenkins)
Clearly I’d have to rig some sort of system where the dreidel decides which one I start with.
I want to read A Kiss At Midnight (loves me some Cinderella, and basically anything that is based on fairy tales) and I’d gift The Devil Wears Plaid because I already have everything Teresa Medeiros has written and I love it hard.
Which to chose! I think I’d start with Eloisa James because she’s on my reading list already:)
Uhhh, tough choice. Feeling exactly like a kid on Christmas morning with such shininess.
I’d have to go for Medeiro’s The Devil Wears Plaid.
Because I have a thing for presents wrapped in plaid-pattern, wrapping paper. And men wrapped in plaid too. *cough*
Ooooh…. I’d have to read ‘Seven Nights to Forever’ first, since I was intrigued by the review—and I’d have to gift ‘The Devil Wears Plaid’, because I’ve actually read that one, already. (Gotta love picking up random books in the drug store just because SBTB reviewed them, heh)
Definitely The Devil Wears Plaid – I’ve read the review on here a few times but haven’t quite made the leap to buying it myself yet.
Seven Nights To Forever, because I liked the review you did.
Yay! I see my awesome chaptermate’s book up there, and I love me some pirates.
As for presents, yes plz. I’d love to be entered into this draw.
Definitely the Sarah MacLean one, I just read her previous adult romance, “Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake,” and I love her writing.
Cathy Maxwell’s His Christmas Pleasure.
I would go for the Cheryl Holt. I just can’t get enough of her. Her books are very addictive for me. And I don’t know why. As for the rest of the books, my aunt is a bigger romancer than I am. I would gladly hand them over, then ask to read when she is done.
I’m oddly intrigued by Scandal of the Season. Since it’s the holidays and all.
There are several I want to read but the first would be Chasing the Sun by Kaki Warner. I read the first two in this historical western trilogy and really enjoyed them.
I would start with A Pirate’s Possession, since I’m a sucker for abs.
Ok, so I’d read Ten Ways to Be Adored When Landing a Lord first since it’s been on my TBR list since it came out, and I would give Seven Nights to Forever to my best friend because I really think she’d enjoy it. But I’d demand she lend it to me as soon as she’s finished with it!
I would start with Seven Nights to Forever, because of your review, and then I would move on to The Devil Wears Plaid. As for gifting a friend, I think she would really enjoy the Kaki Warner books, since she is a sucker for Western romances.
Hi, longtime lurker and 1st time commenter here – that’s quite a collection you’ve presented but after reading your review I’d go with the Devil wears Plaid, or His Christmas Pleasure – you know becos it’s that time of year.
I would read the Beverly Jenkins book because she is a new-to-me author.
I would gift the Sarah macLean book because I just stayed up way too late to finish it and I enjoyed it tremendously.
I’d go for A Pirate’s Possession first. If it has as much plot as the cover has abs, I’m sure it’ll keep me interested from page one.
Teresa Medeiros’s ” The Devil Wears Plaid” because Teresa Medeiros rocks my socks off and then I have to buy new ones!
I’d start with the Caroline Linden, because RedHeadedGirl’s review of her other novel was so good.
Without a doubt I would read “Chasing the Sun” by Kaki Warner first! I love this series she has created and I am anxiously awaiting the next story.
I’d read Eloise James’ book first. I hear great things about her work, but have never read any. What a great contest!
Definitely, I would read “Rules of Engagement” first…. I love Suzanne Enoch.
My word: “several62” there are several books to choose from and soooooo little time….
I would read the Beverly Jenkins book first.
They all look yummy, but I’d have to pick Outrageously Yours. Why? I don’t know, but it just jumped out at me! 🙂
Oh! Historical <3, (though if I were to win this many titles it would topple my TBR pile into the realms of the “Ridiculous”)
Once all my essay’s were done I would read …I was going to say ‘Seven Nights to Forever’, just ‘cause of the epic cover. But it would more likely be Michelle Beattie ‘s ‘Pirates Possession’ – so I could give it to my friend (an avid pirate enthusiast.) for the New Year.
